“Put cement in your shoes bc this place will knock ur socks off. A little taste of italy in the heart of west village. My biggest regret is not having time or the group size to taste more things.
Pros:
- Piping hot pasta dishes, served al dente, bursting w flavor. If you are allergic to flavor you might have a heart attack
- fantastic cocktails and happy hour
- friendly service. My daughter was treated like royalty (swinging bench, shirley temple, smiles)
- clean bathroom. If your a kitchen confidential person, you know what this means
- affordable price. I don’t remember exactly what, but no mugging happened and that’s rare in NYC
- not that crowded (went weekday 5:30 though)
Ideas to consider
- if the red wines were slightly more chilled (not room temp), some people might like even more
- I can’t think of anything else. The best pesto pasta I’ve had in many years, if not ever“

“cameriera italiana con capelli corti. scortese e molto maleducata. non tornerò piu. non ha saputo ne servire il cliente oltre al fatto che dovrebbe farsi un corso di corretto italiano prima di parlare con un cliente in quel modo. pessima pubblicità al locale. peccato e mi dispiace ma non tornerò più.“

“Wonderful dinner from start to finish. We had the pleasure of being served by Ramos, who was attentive, affable, and awesome. We started with the tots & caviar, which was like McDonald hash browns on steroids and the tuna cannolis (also on the smaller side but undeniably delicious). We got the duck ravioli which had a great balance of umami and acidity (the ravioli itself was cooked to perfection). We also were lucky enough to finesse the off menu truffle burger, which is easily an S tier burger (same level as lions bar and better than a PJ Clark’s - steakhouse style, not smashed) Fries were unreal. The dirty Martin’s (w/blue cheese olives) were also perfection and the Cali cab to wash it all down was equally delectable. 10/10. Great food, ambiance, and service. Will be back.“

“Freaking amazing. Imagine Benihana with pasta and at a good price. You get a show and a delicious plate of pasta. My wife who doesn't even like pasta enjoyed it.
Also not sure why didn't this place come up when I searched for Italian food while seated across the street in the park. But if you are reading this, it is worth a visit.“

“Visited on Tuesday evening quite late and had such an amazing experience at Osteria Nonnino. We shared a pizza to start, followed by fish and the vodka pasta for mains – every dish was absolutely outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and we felt so well looked after from start to finish. The food was honestly second to none. Such a hidden gem, would highly recommend to anyone in NYC.“

“The food was amazingly delicious tasty and fresh. The steak with the sauce on the side and the pastelitos were delicious. Chicharron de pollo tasted super fresh and tasty. The tres Leche was delicious as well. However, I didn’t give it 5/5 because it be perfect and it wasn’t. The white rice didn’t taste fresh the macaroni salad was a huge disappointment to the Puerto Rican cuisine it tasted fabricated and more like a supermarket deli Mac salad they have to make a real PR
Mac salad w ham onions peppers etc. the service was great but the owner instead of
Writing down orders he tried memorizing things and forgot a few things we asked for but we didn’t stress it since he was definitely very professional and attentive but these things are important. Also a cup of ice with soda would be nice because I usually drink after I finish eating so when I finally went to
Drink my soda it was warm. Overall, to
Eat and bring family here absolutely the food was great along with service and the place was clean and gave island vibes.“
“Been a realtor in Brooklyn most my life and you know what they say location location location well this time it’s Pasta pasta pasta I’m mean it’s just pasta however if you like pasta and you don’t make it yourself this is the only place when in Brooklyn you need to go. If you care about fresh pasta—whether you’re a chef, a serious home cook, or simply someone who values true quality—this is a must-visit destination. A genuine temple of fresh pasta, and a place Brooklyn can proudly call its own. Beyond the pasta, the shop has a high-end Italian market vibe with a great selection of sauces, imported pantry staples, fresh mozzarella, and more — all at fair prices for New York City. It somehow strikes the perfect balance between old-school Italian neighborhood charm and quality you’d expect from a top artisanal producer. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, they let me taste their soon-to-be-offered sourdough pizza. Without question, that pizza alone is going to put this place on another level. Once it officially launches, expect lines as far as the eye can see — just for the pizza. If you want to buy a house come see me if it’s pasta and pizza you’re after go see Savinos! Hey but don’t take my word for it what do I know’, go and see for yourself. Tell em Battaglia sent you’ you could thank me later! Love B…“

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“This review is regarding eating in, I can’t speak to the market.
The food is great, but it feels overpriced. $16 for snap peas? Almost $30 for pasta without a protein in it? Come on.
You should just go to Misi itself a few blocks away for the same price and a far better value.“

“Figlia was the perfect pre-marathon carb load spot. The handmade pasta was absolutely incredible; fresh, perfectly textured, and the kind of pasta you can immediately tell is made in-house with care. And the Neapolitan pizza? Easily one of the best I’ve had in NYC. Light, airy crust with that perfect char and high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves. The whole atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and authentically Italian without trying too hard. Absolutely a neighborhood gem!“

“This place is incredible the pizza is so good and the garlic knots are also good. This place is clean and delicious. Also they have this good deal that when you buy 2 slices of pizza you get water or a canned drink. You won’t be disappointed! The pizza is kind of cheap but it is the best pizza in nyc!I love this place!“

“The food came out quickly but didn’t taste it. The pasta tasted fresh, just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The crispy chicken cutlet was kinda small for the past portion but was still really good. Not very cold compared to the weather outside but comfortable seating and nice atmosphere.“
“This is not a restaurant. They make the best fresh made pasta. They have a retail store in little Italy, and this is where they make the pasta.
They will sell to walk in customers, but it's better to order ahead to pickup. They also sell some cheese and sauces, and a few imported items from Italy.
I used to get my pasta from Cassinelli in Astoria, and was very sad when they closed.
Now I get fresh fettuccine all the time. Last time I got a pound each of the egg, tomato and spinach lasagna sheets, and made a few tricolor lasagnas. Just fabulous!“

“Very delicious pastas. We both got a fettucine Neapolitan tomato Bolognese and fettucine chicken alfredo. The portions are generous and fairly priced. The area is a nice touch as well especially at night. The pastas were well seasoned and very filling. Will get from here again.“

“We tried a variety of items from the Gluten free station including pizza, meatball sandwich and pasta. Antonello was super sweet and explained each dish and how it is prepared so that it has no cross contamination and the ingredients used. Everything was delicious !“

“The vodka pasta with grilled chicken is amazing. I also tried the pesto pasta with sausage and it is just as good. The mozzarella sticks are excellent too, they come with two flavorful homemade sauces. The buffalo wings are a must-order; the sauces are perfectly balanced. Not only is their food really good, but their portions are also very generous. Their pizza is great, but I recommend giving the other items on the menu a try! The staff is also super friendly with great customer service.“

“FANTASTIC, authentic flavors and simple but genius combos. Came super hyped and recommended and lives up to the expectations every time. I tried the vanilla cream bombolone and that was a home freaking run, as well as the mozzarella tomato confit sandwich and salami, fig jam, Gorgonzola. Bread is nuts, ingredients are super fresh and delicate while still being rich and satisfying. I don’t think you can go wrong here!! I even tried the cafe leccese, which is an Italian iced espresso drink with an almond paste / cream situation that I’ve never heard of before. It was so amazing! Such a unique detail to an already delicious and balanced menu. :)“
