“Holy macaroni & cheese! Thomasena’s food is excellent! The meat is tender, the yams are sweet, the collard greens are seasoned just right, and the baked macaroni & cheese, fa-get about it!.....haha. If you love soul food or you don’t, go anyway, you’ll be satisfied. If you want a good hearty meal get to Thomasena’s.“
“Carolynn’s kitchen has been catering for our events at LIJ Valley Stream hospital for 2 years now and her food service and customer service has been nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend this catering business for your events. I know we will continue working with her for many events to come.“

“I'm a SERIOUS fan of Tay's Soul Food! The fried Whiting and mac and cheese are OFF THE HOOK! The yams and string beans are perfection! I call ahead and pull up. Easy contactless pickup during the pandemic! Give her a call if you want some soul food but don't feel like cooking. *Only thing is, you need to pay cash in the exact amount if you don't use apple ipay.“

“The food is excellent, the service on a scale from 1 to 5 I’d give a 3 . The wait is entirely too long. I was told they were going to call me when the food was ready. They never call after a 45 minute wait. I went to the place, and when I arrived to get my food, and informed them that I was never call , Her reply was oh !!! we were going to call sooner or later and laughed and play it off .“
