“Used to be my favorite place and ordered river vale at least 2-3x per week but hadn't ordered for a long time until recently i had craving for their ox tail combo and Cuban sandwich. sadly no more ox tail and both puerco asado shredded pork dish and Cuban pork were so bland and dry and burnt with the pressed bread which was like a stale burnt roll with 1 or 2 pickles..thats it. was disappointed the puerco asado dish didn't even come with rice and beans as was used to be included in the past. and no phone number available to call and talk to someone. very sad because used to be one of my favorites and probably will not try again.“

“I found this place through instagram and went in person had the sweet chilli wings and two empanadas, amazing! Loved it. Not a fan of the yuca fries they were a bit on the dry side but its always a hit or miss when it comes to Yuca / Yuca fries. The atmosphere was amazing, super clean place seems like a small family business loved seeing that. Truly recommend.“

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.“

“Owner is so sweet and workers are attentive even when busy. I am happy to say they take their time with their food, and provide excellent service. I did not mind waiting because scenery and weather was great as they provide seating in front the place.

“I was so excited to finally try Gilberto’s Cafeteria, especially because I came here to celebrate my 16th birthday! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more special.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You could really taste the Cuban flavors, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. I recommend if this is your first time coming to defenitly try it.

What made the experience even better was the service. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. It really felt like they cared about making our visit special. Being a small family owned business you can see the dedication they put into making their costumers happy which was so wholesome.

Overall, Gilberto’s Cafeteria was such a great choice for my birthday. Between the amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful service, it made a special day even more memorable. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!“

“My family and I ordered from Wonder 2 days ago. The ordering experience was very easy. The driver got to out house within the time we were told. Everything in our order was correct. It was fresh, hot, and delicious. A great experience!“

“I love this place! The service is excellent, and everything they sell is delicious, especially the cachitos and the asado negro. The only thing I didn’t like this time was the shredded beef. I used to love it in previous years, but it seems they changed the sauce or the recipe, and it just isn’t as good as it used to be.“

“Comfortable, attractive date night Cuban place with good food, some dolled up entrees like Chicharron with rice and beans (more Southern Fried Chicken than Cuban), nice Maduro banana stuffed with codfish stew, good Yuca fries with uninteresting salsa, many typical dishes. Very attentive staff, friendly crowd loud loud music inside and a semi-rowdy street scene outside. Food good enough to go back!“

“This is a local Chinese/Peruvian food restaurant that gives new meaning to Chinese food! This fusion of flavors is amazing! I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend! The hubby &!I will definitely be back! 😋😋😋“

“Kind of a soft five for this one because we actually didn't get around to trying any of the food but everything else was amazing. Was here with David and Lukas on a Wednesday afternoon from about 3PM to around 8PM and we had 6 coronas each while watching the world cup. The beers came out to around just over $4 per bottle. Would come back here many times over“

“I live around the block and I am lucky to have such a great bakery close by. The coffee is always amazing. The bakery is always very clean. What makes this place special is the ladies who work there. They take ownership and treat the customers with great care.“

“The food here is absolutely delicious — you can really taste the authenticity in every dish. The mojito sauce is out of this world and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for real Colombian flavor, this is definitely the place.

The only downside is the service; it could definitely be improved. If you don’t speak Spanish, it sometimes feels like you’re a bit of a bother to the staff. It’s not enough to keep me from coming back, but it’s something to be aware of.

Overall, the food makes up for it — just be patient, and you’ll be rewarded with an amazing meal!“
