“The food here is great. The atmosphere and service are top notch. One thing I'd recommend anyone who is ordering the chicken and lamb over rice is to get more cucumbers. The most delicious bites were the ones with cucumbers mixed in, but sadly by default they don't put much salad and cucumbers. But you can ask for it, so I'd recommend getting extra chopped cucumbers in there, it really goes well with the chicken and lamb and rice.“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

I never met him in my entire life and I came in to get a green juice but I didn’t have enough money to pay for it. However the man who was at the counter treated me with so much love and kindness. I’m not kidding. the cart, Halal Harlem, was established in 2002. the guy working it was a little slow but that’s bc his experienced hands will make your lamb gyro on pita with so much care. be patient and you’ll get the best halal you ever tasted. he didn’t skimp on the meat or veggies. there was onions, tomatoes, and lettuce!! some places give you lettuce and call it a day. He charges fair prices! I love Harlem Halal like I love the M116. with gratitude in my heart and wallet.“

I haven’t had chicken over rice in a while due to bad experiences, so after some time I decided to give it a try and I risked it by Uber Eats with this place & omfg.. the rice is great, they added a generous amount of red & white sauce, the chicken was greatly cooked , my favorite part had to be the diced cucumbers along with the diced vegetables . The pita bread I ordered on the side was soft . I literally almost struggled eating the entire thing , I went to sleep super full. So they are definitely generous with their portions as well. “Service: Gustavo man, Gustavo. This Brother gave us top tier service, Masha Allah. He was extremely patient as I was really undecided on what to order since it was authentic Mexican and he really kept our interests in mind. I kept calling him over and over again but he kept smiling and you can tell he was genuinely understanding. He greeted us with Salaam and was so courteous through our whole time there. He also checked in on us to make sure things were going good. Great customer service is something that I never overlook and this customer service I received was one of the best.

Food: And the food was so good. It came out one by one so we had stuff to eat from the moment we sat down with the tortilla chips. Had all of our food within 10 min or so which was great. We had Birria tacos, steak bowl, the special quesadilla (forgot the name as it's in Spanish but it had maiz in the name), and tortilla chips. Everything was delicious and legitimately tasted like an authentic foreign cuisine. It is not your average Mexican bowl place. Heavy props to the chef for the amazing flavors and textures of the food!

Halal: I mostly eat at HFSAA or HMS Halal certified locations. So considering they were also certified is always my first step to going to any restaurant. I wouldn't have even come if they weren't certified.

Sidenote: The hot sauce is super super hot! I like spicy food but when I ordered the chicken over rice with the white and hot sauce for the first time on UberEATS, I cried eating it lol. I eventually had to buy another plate with no sauces to mix with the first to dilute the spiciness.

Everything about it is amazing you can also order a slice of dessert which they have about six options for you to choose from and everything has always been an amazing experience.
