“When my brothers were kids, they would stop to eat at Hiram"s on their way back from Palisade's Amusement Park. My mom would always ask why. My brothers replied, "the food is better at Hiram's! When I worked for Thomas J. Lipton in Englewood Cliffs, my co-workers and I went to Hiram's for lunch often. I plan on going very soon! I so love Hiram's for the food and it's longevity.“

“Jongro Rice Hotdog is a Korean-style corn dog spot that focuses on the popular street food version of hot dogs made with a crispy rice flour batter, different fillings, and creative toppings. Located in the middle of Koreatown, it feels like a quick grab-and-go stop rather than a traditional restaurant, with the focus being on getting a freshly fried snack and enjoying it while walking around the area. The concept is simple, but the variety of options makes it more interesting than a regular corn dog.
The main reason to visit is the hot dogs themselves. The batter comes out crispy on the outside while the inside stays warm and cheesy, especially with options like the mozzarella hot dog where the cheese pull is a big part of the experience. The potato-covered versions add another layer of texture, giving you a crunchy outside with the soft, stretchy cheese or sausage inside. The portion sizes are also larger than expected, making it feel more filling than a typical snack.
One thing that makes Korean hot dogs different is the ability to customize them with sauces and toppings. Adding options like honey mustard, boom boom sauce, ketchup, or other drizzles changes the flavor and makes each bite a little different. Some versions can also come with sugar, which is more traditional for Korean-style corn dogs but may be unexpected if you are used to American fair-style corn dogs. Personally, I found the savory versions easier to enjoy because they let the crispy batter and cheese stand out more.
The ordering process is a little different since you order through kiosks outside before picking up your food inside. The shop itself is small with limited space to stand or eat, so most people grab their order and continue walking around Koreatown. It can get crowded, especially during busy times, but the staff move quickly and the food usually comes out fresh.
The location is also part of the appeal because it fits naturally into exploring the area. After grabbing a hot dog, there are plenty of nearby dessert and drink options, making it easy to turn it into a casual food stop. The lack of seating is probably the biggest downside, but for a street-food style snack it does not take away too much from the experience.
Overall, Jongro Rice Hotdog is a fun place to try if you want something different from a normal corn dog. The crispy coating, melted cheese, and variety of flavors make it a memorable snack, especially when eaten fresh. It is not really a place you go for a long meal, but it is a great quick stop while walking around Koreatown.“

“The classicisme dog is by far the best, don't go out for the fancy ones, you're loosing money. Got two to be really full.
The plain tots were good.
Great atmosphere on terrasse in the evening. Recommend to have a night out in the East Village.“

“My buddy talked highly of this place so I gave it a shot. In less than a month I've made the trip 3 times and can't wait foe the next. The owner and his wife are fantastic, welcoming, and super into thier craft. I say craft because these aren't generic combinations, theyre thought out combinations and flavors that work perfectly in whatever way you like. It's my favorite hot dog spot I've ever visited. I can't wait to go again!“

“I recently moved to the area and Ive been on the hunt for the best food in the area - one of which was finding my new go to korean fried chicken place. This place did not disappoint and the high reviews left here are worth the hype. Ordered the spicy soy garlic + fries combo and it was deeeelicious. Fresh, hot, with the perfect amount of spice and the wings are bigger than what you'd get at a chain fried chicken restaurant. I also upgraded my fries to the truffle parmesean - truffle isnt as outstanding of a flavor but the parm was pretty good. The service is also so nice! Ill definitely be back to try their other food~“

“When I was a kid growing up we used to pay 50 cents for these hot dogs. A dog got you a hot dog and a Pepsi or Coke can.. times have changed it cost me $4.50 to get one hot dog which is crazy even to New York City standards, just saying. RIP Dolly Parton“

“The food and beverages are excellent! Everything has been treated carefully and is quite fresh. Finding a decent Korean corn dog restaurant took some time, but I'm glad I found this one. Additionally, they provide a wide range of tastes and combinations that I haven't found anywhere else. You should definitely give this establishment a try if you're searching for an incredible corn dog that is delicious and well-made.“

“Great pastrami sandwiches. I also tried the corned beef but didn't enjoy it as much. Corn3d beef wasn't bad just not as special as the pastrami.
Definitely stick to the pastrami.
Make sure you give yourself time. The line is long and they take their time with every customer. Very slow moving but worth the wait.“

“This restaurant is exceptional Quality food prepared beautifully Thoughtful selection of items on menu made by the chef and whomever else curates the kitchen There may be an over abundance of restaurants in New York that supply ambience, notoriety, and sometimes exotic preparations of food Westville keeps the food identifiable, presented in a way that makes you salivate!!!)) More of this, please“

“I go here often for lunch. Plenty of variety, and fairly quick service. I always get the ribs from Tejas + kids mac n cheese. Everything else was good too, but the Thai food here is lacking (they used italian pasta for the pad see eew (not rice noodles) and pasta was very al dente both times i tried here). Havent seen if they improved for that restaurant yet but I always come back for Tejas!“

“Chicken over rice bowl is $10 and sooo worth it. It's so good. Prepared quickly and efficiently. I would maybe go light on the red sauce as it is very spicy, or remove it altogether (if sensitive to spice.)
Sometimes the chicken pieces have a weird texture or could be grilled a bit better. But that might be a personal preference thing. Fries are really good.“

“Great little place one could easily miss if they weren't looking. Delicious dogs, relatively inexpensive prices, and great ambience, make this a go to spot. Couple of drawbacks though. Seating very limited, so best time to come is after the lunch rush and before school lets out. Also limited hours of operation, as they are only open during lunch through early afternoon rush hours, so plan accordingly. You won't regret it.“

“Love this place! The sandwiches are authentic and very delicious. They have a big variety of drinks and other Asian street food, like Korean cheese corn dogs. It can take a while for you to get your food, but other than that, I will definitely keep coming back!“

“First noticed while watching the movie Fools rush in. Since my last name is Gray I always wanted to go there. Been there in 2010 the first time and immediately fell in love. A couple a weeks ago I went to New York on short notice and the first thing on my to do list was going there. Say what you want. Those are the best hot dogs on the planet. And I will go there again everyone I visit NYC. You just have to love them❤️“

“Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“On vacation as a joke, we searched for "the worst bar near me" which led us to this amazing little place. We had the absolute best food! The waitstaff was attentive, fun, and helpful. Prices & portions were fair. The whole vibe of the area was low-key & pleasant with the dog-friendly patio, next door local shops, and other patrons. If these Wisconsintes find ourselves in Jersey City again, we will absolutely make a dedicated return to the Wurstbar!“

“Serendipity 3 is a fun, iconic spot, but the food was a bit of a letdown. The burgers are overpriced for what you get and unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.
The real reason to come here is the frozen hot chocolate. It’s exactly the kind of indulgent, over-the-top treat that makes the experience worthwhile and is definitely the highlight of the visit.
Come for the frozen hot chocolate, enjoy the atmosphere, but keep your expectations in check when it comes to the burgers.“

“I love this spot for the most part, but have only been 3 times. The reason for that is every time I go, it’s an insanely long wait to get a drink. I’m not sure if I got unlucky with only going while they only have 1 bartender, but we’ve only gotten 1 drink each time because we couldn’t deal with waiting for another.“

“I had an amazing experience at this Corn Dog restaurant! The corn dogs were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and flavorful on the inside. The batter had just the right amount of sweetness, making every bite delicious. The portions were generous, and everything was served fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“
