“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“We had such an amazing experience at The Rock House! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is incredible — everyone’s in a great mood, super friendly, and ready to have fun. We went for the Halloween party, and they absolutely nailed it. The band was fantastic, the music was excellent, and the whole place had this awesome ‘80s throwback feel — from the décor to the energy. The food came out fast, tasted great, and the prices were very reasonable. The Halloween-themed drinks were creative and fun, and the bar staff was quick, smiling, and clearly enjoying the night. The place was packed but still felt friendly and comfortable — we ended up meeting so many great people. You can tell The Rock House puts a lot of heart into what they do. Overall, this is a class act bar that knows how to throw a party. “Stopped in for an appetizer and a beer before heading home for the day. We arrived after they opened at 4 and there were a few people already there. The bartender was super friendly. We ordered some local beers (good variety on tap) $10 a beer, and an order of the bang bang shrimp. I am still thinking about them.....for $18 there was a good amount of shrimp, the sauce was perfect and the crispiness of the shrimp was the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back for the shrimp and will stay for dinner this time. They have two floors of outdoor seating as well which is blocked from the main road.“

“We sat at the bar and enjoyed the wrap around TV screens showing every sport. The service was excellent. Gabe the bartender was friendly and welcoming. I think he could tell it was our first time there. He was on the ball with our drinks and knew when we needed another one before we had to say anything. The food was really good. We had the fried mushrooms and a couple sandwiches which were delicious. We're going back again for sure.“

“Great little bar near the PATH Station in Harrison. Located in the rear side of the Element Hotel on Somerset Street. Very nice atmosphere, friendly crowd and very friendly service. Reasonably priced drinks and if you like there is some seating outside the bar when the weather cooperates. I found it a nice place to stop and have a drink or two. I’d recommend stopping in when you’re in the area. A nice addition to the newly renovated, and ongoing, Harrison Station area.“

“Decades ago, I ate at this location weekly when it was "Eddie's Long Bar". I visited Pour Abbey's a few times. The inside has been COMPLETELY changed for the better. The food is very good and the service excellent. I am not in the area often but will stop here when possible. Well Done!“

“Frenchy's is such a fun, pleasant dive with bar food and drinks. Often they have music that is played so loud that you can't talk. Parking can be a problem. Small lot and street parking. Oh, and part of the movie The Wrestler with Micky Rourke was filmed there.“

The bartender was courteous and despite it appeared most patrons were usuals, we were treated well being it was a first time for us there.“

“Went early on a Sunday when it was raining. While the parking lot isn't the best, the food is.

I got the Kimchi burger and it was a very good size.
They cook it to perfection exactly as you request it.
Fries were good.
Onion rings were actual onion rings. Not that minced onion paste some places do.

Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“

“Good place for a complete meal at a fair price. Brazilian restaurant located in Newark - NJ, with good structure, good service and pleasant space. The menu is quite diverse and can please different audiences, the portions are large and serve one person very well. Every day of the week there is a meal option at a more affordable price, it's worth checking out.“

“Hosted a birthday party for about 28 people including kids. The service staff was attentive and responsive to emails and to my calls when I had questions. Here are pictures. The food that we ordered from the party package #2 was terrific. We brought our sound bar to play music from my own playlist. There is an option to have music provided by the bar/restaurant if you want. I would return to host another party. Much recommended.“

“Had many family parties here and repasts. The food is very good. Issue is the last time I was there, 18 people birthday party, the service was very very poor. People waited for the coffee order for 2 hours. Asked for decaf tea and they received camomile. Waited an hour for decaf tea bag. Also, I bought a birthday cake and waited over an hour for it to be brought out and people in our party was leaving. Other issue. If you put down deposit for party, KEEP the receipt! I forgot about my deposit and apparently so did Conga and after going there with receipts and credit cards, calling, it too over 2 weeks to get deposited credited to my bank account. Just be diligent if you have a party and keep on top of your waiter/waitress. Tip Was included in total cost and there was no way the waitress deserved the amount they added to my bill! All in all, want a sandwich, dinner, cafe or dessert, food and service is very good. We will go back. But will be more on top of things if I have another party.“

Good music, the food needs help, I had french fries and empanadas and the empanadas lacked flavor and needed salt. I think more food options would help, especially if you don't eat seafood.“
