“Ok, so let me start off with they gave me such great customer service! I had such a crazy week and they were incredibly patient and communicative.

The cake was amazing, beautifully done, delicious. The custard and fresh strawberries inside were refreshing and light. The buttercream wasn’t overwhelming but very delicate and airy. I am definitely going to order from here again.

I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift). The cappuccino was a little piece of heaven, the desserts were just a tad sinful, and the whole experience felt like a visit to the Holy Chapel of buttercream and chocolate.

“The food at Oceanos is amazing, dishes are cooked to perfection and service is quick but not rushed. Prices are a little high but the quality is worth it. We have been to Oceanos several times for dinner and have never been dissappiointed and will for sure return again. “End of an era. I used to love going to this Carvel as it’s right in the neighborhood. I tried going today 2/16/2026, only to find out it’s another ice cream shop and Carvel, no longer. This Carvel had been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. It will be missed.“

Steph did a fantastic job, the cake was delicious and we ordered cupcakes in another flavor to accompany the cake. I had sent her some ideas and photos and she went above and beyond. For the toppers of the cupcakes I thought she would just do an icing decoration, but she added sugar cookies and they came out so cute and complimented our theme perfectly! Thank you again!“

“My four year old was adamant that he wanted a rocket ship ice cream cake for his birthday. I called a 11 ice cream cake shops in the area only to be told that it was impossible without the right mold. One place even asked me to order a mold for them and they would see if they could make the cake but wanted to charge double for the effort. I randomly found this Carvel in Hackensack and after explaining what I wanted, one of the staff members brainstormed ways to make the cake come to life. I sent them a picture and out came the best rocket ship ice cream cake that anyone had ever eaten! The cake looked beautiful, tasted delicious and most importantly, my child was super happy. I will always place cake orders with you guys!“

There was no line and I quickly received my to-go order. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious- fluffy and flaky, not at all greasy, and the perfect cheese pull. “Capy Tres Leche Cake is seriously one of the best tres leches cakes I’ve had. The cake is soft and perfectly soaked, so it’s really moist without feeling too heavy. The sweetness is just right, and the creamy milk flavor really stands out in a good way. You can tell a lot of time and effort goes into making each cake.

It also looks great when it’s served, which makes it perfect for parties or special occasions. Everyone who tries it always seems to enjoy it. I came with a 2 year old, she needed a diaper change, they told me the restrooms were closed to customers and only for staff. I got my little girl her ice cream and a guy who appeared to be a manager told us to get out because they dont allow indoor seating. it's a shame because the ice cream is great and it's a great location“

“I have ordered from carousel cakes several times now and let me tell you …they’re fabulous! They come frozen (which is actually so convenient) and they taste amazing. I’ve tried the rocky road cake, the key lime pie, napoleon cake and the banana chocolate mouse. All so delicious. Definitely defrost them the day before in the fridge and they come out perfect each time. So happy to find this gem and will continue to use them for all my events!“

“Visit the bakery yesterday, and it was worth every dollar I spend. The Pecan cream ring tasted just how I remembered when I was a kid. I also bought one double chocolate cookie, which was amazing!! “Although the presentation only looks good from one angle (bald spot in the back etc. SMH) the cake taste delicious not too sweet just right the blue frosting had everyone’s lips blue tho it didn’t taste like dye the guava filling was on point we truly enjoyed it. The total for the cake was $80 and it was ready on the date and time I requested. Would recommend just don’t get any pictures on your cake they need to get their skills up. The passion fruit dessert is a go as well.“

“I've been coming to this location for year's, and I've experienced it transition from different owners. Thank God this new owner knows what he is doing. I ordered this cake last minute for my Christmas day dinner. I was expecting them to tell me that it was to short notice for them to have it ready by that date since I literally ordered it 4 day's before Christmas. But to my surprise they took my order and had it done on time. It was ready by the time I got there. The cake to say the least was exactly how I wanted it to be and looked stunning and well crafted. And it was nice and moist it tasted like pure vanilla so good and rich.“

This time, we chose the Strawberry Blonde, which comes with graham cracker pie crust, strawberries, caramel, and whipped topping. We ordered a medium size, and it was perfect for sharing with my husband.
We got it in a cup, but they also offer cone options.

“For many years I had Valencia cake in practically every party my parents took me. And of course, my birthday. I had not had Valencia cake in a very long time. But for my 75th Birthday I wanted Valencia. My husband and I travel to the store on Burnside Ave. First I must say the man behind the counter was not very friendly. He sounded like we were boring him. I got a big cake, $40.00. It was not very well decorated but since it was for me, I dismissed it. The cake was super dry. Very little cream in the middle. I wanted pineapple but he did not have it in the size I wanted. The cake tasted like nothing I remember. It had no flavor!! What happened to that delicious, moist, flavorful cake I remember!!! SO SAD!!“

One of the reviews says the person who is the wife of a city inspector and says that this inspector found the place dirty. This is not logical or true because when that happens they close the businesses until what they find is fixed and they fine the merchants. Our and your bakery has never failed any of the city inspections since their first visit and we have never had to close our business for health reasons. As merchants we know that the competition uses these means to throw garbage at the reputation of its most successful competitors and that is unfair competition.
