Selection of cocktails put a fun twist on classics without being difficult to understand. Food options have fresh sandwiches with an array of fillings and delicious entrees.

Had the hibiscus marg w/ mezcal. Fragrant and light smokiness, really refreshing. The Steak Frites was cooked really well despite some fatty pieces, crispy fries and great portion size. Salsa verde was slightly liquidy but still tasty.

Definitely recommend lunch here, bar seating is supreme.“

“Classic diner with an extensive menu that includes daily specials. The parking lot was full, which is always a good sign for me. I tried the daily special of the gyro platter and the chicken noodle soup. The soup was sufficiently savory and soothing, the lamb in the gyro platter was the typical pre-slide thin patties, the lettuce was fresh romaine with nice thick slices of juicy tomatoes and red onions with a generous dusting of briny feta. The portions are also generous and I wasn’t able to finish my meal. The prices are very reasonable and the service was exceptional. Definitely adding this Tibbett’s to my list of go-to diners.“

“We went for brunch to this restaurant with our grandchildren. We were greeted by the nicest waiters of all time. My husband and I had the Club Sandwich and our grandson had pancakes and bacon. The portions were so generous and quite affordable. Our granddaughter was sleeping in a stroller and the lady who greeted us even helped us tilt the back of her stroller down and find the perfect place to sit to accommodate her. Chit Chat Diner is the perfect late-night spot, open 24 hours with an endless menu to satisfy all your cravings! We tried the quesadillas and the Sampler, and both were hits. The quesadillas were deliciously cheesy, and the Sampler was full of fun bites. The mozzarella sticks were piping hot and fresh, but the fries were a bit cold—just a tiny hiccup. The chicken tenders were juicy, and the sauces? A total game-changer! A real "star" quality with these "little dippers".

“A GEM find in Long Island City. Walking distance from our hotel, perfect little diner for breakfast or lunch. We ordered breakfast for lunch:) the pancakes were some of the best we’ve ever had! “I came here regularly when the original owner George was in charge. Charming guy who stopped what he was doing to yell Hello to everyone who walked in. The food was regular diner food that he elevated. Huge portions and decent price. He retired or left and people who worked for him took over. I rarely go now. Food is decent but prices went up and portions are smaller. The servers are good and personable. Place seems to always be busy since there are several schools and offices in the area. Still decent but you don't get as much value for your money and no charm and personality from George.“

Weekend brunch comes with 2 drinks so if you ever wanted 2 screwdrivers at 11:30 AM on a Saturday along with a huge omlette, they got you.“

It might be a bit cramped inside, but the turnaround time is fast. From the time we ordered to when our food arrived, it couldn’t have been more than ten minutes. That’s awesome to me. If you’re in the area, stop in and grab a bite. It could use a little love aesthetically, but the only downside is the parking. It could be problematic, but I still think it’s worth the gamble.“
