“Sankofa Cafe is a gift to the Montclair community and surrounding communities that it serves. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, the coffee and tea are wonderful, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Sankofa has become of hub of the community, often hosting social and cultural events, in addition to participating in community outreach in support of many causes.
The owner, Jessica Troupe, has poured her heart and soul into this cafe, and it shows. It is one of the best coffee shop in the area.“

“Melanie did an AMAZING job on my sister's Game of Thrones themed couple shower. I had some ideas but she really took what I said and made my ideas into something more. Not only did everything look great, the desserts tasted wonderful too. I highly recommend her and Jamm Events and will use her again.“

“Saw this place called Mr.Waffles. Looked appetizing so I checked it out. Omg freaking amazing. Have to check out their full menu of waffles & juices. I ordered the Waffles 4 in 1 Pistachio Nutella, white chocolate, kinder bueno, fruit as you can see from the photo looked & tasted amazing!!!!“

“What a great place! Passed by here once and our daughter’s name is Madison so I thought it would be fun to try out. Made a reservation for Mother’s Day, probably not the best day to try a new place. We showed up for our 12:15 reservations and despite the mob scene outside, our table was waiting. The food and service were spectacular on a busy day. I can’t wait to come back on a normal day. I had the cauliflower tacos. Amazing, as good as they look in the picture. Wife and daughter had omelettes with salad and potatoes. Neither could finish! Not sure if I can post photos“

“What a great find. This is a cozy coffee shop/cafe serving up Venezuelan specialties. The arepa reina and cachapa (corn pancake) de pollo were both fantastic. It took a few minutes for the food to come out, but that's because it's a one woman show, she was making the food to order, and serving up drinks. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!“

“It’s on a corner, so it made it hard to find at first being by the intersection. We chose this spot due to the high rating , definitely was true. Bagel was soft and fresh and the nutella latte was really good. 10/10 so happy I found this gem and highly recommend giving a try if you can.“

“The new owners have brought a completely different level of energy and hospitality to the place. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and you can tell they are personally invested in making sure customers have a great experience. Me and my son had a breakfast and it was truly amazing.
Most importantly, the quality of the food and desserts has improved tremendously. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious, especially the baklava and Turkish pastries. Definitely worth trying.“

“Wayne Hot Bagels supplied breakfast for Teacher Appreciation Week and did a fabulous job! They were friendly, courteous, patient and worked with me to find items that fit within the budget. “If you love great food and drink and friendly atmosphere this is you're place. I travel 28 miles to come here. It's my home sweet home. I don't go anywhere else from the comfortable seating and the nicely cooled lounge and a place outside if you're a smoker. Wide assortment of coffees and teas and adults beverages. My meal was so flavorful, and filling! My only complaint was $4 for a mug of coffee seemed a little high, but maybe thats a normal price now?! (I did get “flavored”) so maybe the plain is cheaper.“
