“I ordered a Thai tea through the kiosk, but when I received it the taste was a little off — more bitter/sour than I expected. I asked about it, and the worker mentioned she had noticed the same thing earlier when she tried it. She kindly added more sugar, but it still wasn’t quite right for me, so I asked if I could switch to another drink.

The two girls working there were super professional and accommodating — they happily offered me a different drink instead. The new drink I got was delicious!

“Bubble bubble! Bubble tea! Quick on the go bubble tea! Location: it is located in Fort Lee, there are few seatings inside but better to order and go. It will satisfy your bubble tea craving! Service: I just ordered and go, no interaction. Food: I almost taste all the flavors but my favorites are: TARO: as always this is good! Taro with bubbles is great! THAI ICED TEA: this one is good too! Thai experience! EARL GREY with 3 J’s: this is one of my fave because it has 3 jellies on it! DIRTY BROWN SUGAR: one of the newest flavors! It is good because not your usual sugar! STRAWBERRY TARO: good too, make sure only 30% sugar because it might be sweet. COFFEE MILK TEA: good, taste more tea than coffee! Price rating: 4 out of 10. It is so cheap! Well all recommended! But personally love the taro and earl grey with 3Js.“

“Mochi Mochi Cafe is an amazing place to go, and as a regular, I am in love. It is very family friendly and the owners are amazingly kind. The food is great and at a good price. It has a ton of options for everyone and I would 100% recommend!“

“Probably the best bakery in Fort Lee, NJ area. The breads and pastries are good! Location: It is located in Fort Lee. Huge parking so its convenient! The interior is okay, great display of breads that you can just pick on! Service: pay and go, not that much interaction. Food: The breads are delicious, fluffy and still good after few days. CAKES: they have themed cakes which I like, everything is delicious and cakes are light. MATCHA CROISSANT: I don’t have a picture tho but this is good! You can taste the matcha well! BOBA TARTS: actually it is not bad, the boba were topped on a eggy tea infused cream filling. I wouldn’t order it again to be honest. Lol Price rating: 6/10, not that bad for goodies. Definitely will come back for more! Been here multiple times! The cakes were amazing! Light and fluffy!“

“We had the Jersey Tomato, the pesto pizza without chicken and the Snow White. They were all so good! Pizzas are about $20 and feed 2 people with good size slices. The drinks were great too. I had the sparkling pineapple ade and it was crafted with a pretty sprig of rosemary and a an orchid. The kids loved the boba tea - they made the coffee on with decaf for us.“

“Always love to stop by Machi Machi to get some tea. They have many options: milk tea, fruit tea etc and toppings. The tea is rich and strong aroma. Not the cheap tea bags you have in the diner.

They also have donuts, sandwiches, tanghulu (fruit covered in hardened sugar). All are very good. I have tried all of these over the years.

Quick service. Usually there’s no wait. It’s a take-out place. You can order it by kiosk or at the counter.

There are 3 seats with wall decorations if you wanna post for social media. Overall a good spot for tea and snacks.“

“Edit: Thank you for the reply. I visited the shop again on a Sunday afternoon and I was positively surprised by the rapidity of the service (less than 10 minutes wait). The drinks were very good and tasty too.

Good menu choice, however I have been here twice and both times I waited an unacceptable long time (40+ minutes) for a single simple drink. The pick up process is unstructured and unreliable. What's the point in waiting if you cannot even receive your drink. Strongly not recommended.“

“This is a hidden gem in the Lower East Side. They make pretty good boba but I want to talk about the interior. The nostalgia in here is amazing. Everything looks like it was personally selected. The the curation of this place is sick. I got the Grapefruit Delight. I was skeptical of trying it because I thought it would be tart but it was actually smooth. No tartness at all. With amount of lychee. Not to discredit how good the boba but this spot is fire to me and I would just chill in here if I could. Whoever did the decor needs a raise lol. “I’ve been wanting to come here for the past 2 months here. Last night, finally I was able to come. I am shocked that they’ve been in business for more than a year and I just found them now?Being an avid bubble tea lover along with my kids, I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is a hidden gem in the heart of JSQ. The owner is very down to earth and a people person. You won’t step out of that place without a smile. She will make your drink according to your preference. You can make as many adjustments as you’d like and she will do it with a smile.

We ordered 2 Oreo shakes and a latte bubble tea. I ordered them in M size, but she gave me in L size? and still charged me for M. My kids loved their Oreo shakes and I very much enjoyed my latte. I can’t wait to go back and try the other bubble tea flavors and the waffles and crepes.

I got a strawberry matcha which tasted really good, but do note that the strawberry is highly concentrated and may overpower the matcha if you prefer a stronger matcha flavor. I usually make a mad dash here after waiting in the Wah Fung line and the owner is always courteous to let me eat outside food in his store, which he doesn’t have to do. There’s lot of chain options on this block (KFT, Molly a few steps away, etc) but I always come back here because the tea is great (I love the Oolong Peach!) and not corporate-backed. “I’ve visited Modern Tea Shop before, and was super happy with my drink (rose milk tea). Today I decided to try it again and go for a different flavor! They have a lot of floral-inspired teas which is unique and a great reason to go. I got the matcha jasmine milk tea (oat milk) with boba (50% sugar), and thought it was 7/10. The oat milk wasn’t as creamy, so it caused the drink to be a bit watery unfortunately. Also, the jasmine flavor was not very pronounced, either due to the way it’s made or the sugar level I chose. Not sure I would get that drink again, but would recommend the rose milk!“

I always appreciate free milk substitutions (lactose intolerance is a lifestyle at this point). I really liked how pronounced the tea flavors were and it wasn't too sweet at the regular sugar levels either. The prices are on the lower end compared to other bubble tea spots in this area.“

“I came here because of their amazing 4.9 rating on Google Maps, however, I was not amazed by their food. I got curry puffs to start my dinner. The puffs were nice and flavorful. The outside was light and flaky, and the insides were well seasoned with nice texture. The sauce came with was too sweet to my liking. Personally I prefer eating it as it is. I pad see ew with shrimp and added beef($5). The flavor was nice and the shrimp was fresh and clean. However, the beef wasn’t so good especially when I paid $5 extra for them. It was too dry and chewy.
Overall, it’s a standard Thai restaurant. The food was nice but nothing special about it.“
