“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“
“The pickled cabbage was a 10/10—super simple but packed with flavor.
The Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings were decent, but the crab flavor was pretty subtle. The broth was good, though I’ve had better versions in Flushing. The filling could also use a bit more fat and seasoning for richness.
The Peking Duck Spring Rolls were fine but nothing special. The duck inside leaned a little dry.
The Fish with Szechuan Sauce was excellent—very flavorful. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal.
The Crab with Tofu was disappointing. I was expecting something closer to a crab roe / mitten crab style tofu dish, but the crab flavor didn’t really come through.
Overall the food felt a bit hit or miss, but the standout dishes are excellent.
That said, the service, atmosphere, and ambiance were all great and made the meal really enjoyable.
Would come back to try more dishes.“

“Shoo Long Kan is the absolute best hot pot! Not just in Fort Lee, but also in the tri-state area. I’ve been to the Jersey City and Paris locations and this Fort Lee is just outstanding with noteworthy soup base and super friendly service!“

“We had the Mala Xian Guo (spicy hotpot) and it was great overall. I wouldn’t recommend to put the bean curd roll and fried dough to it because it melted when it was cooked. An uncle was working all by himself when we went there but it was impressive he had everything covered. I’d come here again to eat Mala.“

“Since I moved to NJ from NY 7 years ago I have been to many chinese restaurants some were just ok some not so good but this place is by far the best in Fort Lee. Today I ordered the beef with broccoli lunch special and fried jumbo shrimp. Beef with broccoli was delicious not too salty and the fried jumbo shrimp was fried to perfection and their tartar sauce was delicious!! I'm planning to order more variety the next time! I definitely recommend this place.“

“We seriously love this spot. The food is always fresh, clean, and super tasty without being heavy. You can tell they really care about what they’re cooking. No MSG, not overloaded with salt, oil, or sugar. Even the fried chicken comes out light and golden, not greasy at all (the clean oil makes such a difference).
What I appreciate most is that the dishes aren’t drowned in sauce. Everything tastes balanced and you can actually taste the ingredients. My family and coworkers always feel happy and healthy, never that weighed-down feeling you sometimes get after eating takeout. This place is our go-to, and will always be our go-to even after we move and we recommend this place to everyone.“

“This place is sooo good, by far the best malatang place in the area. It is new, clean, spacious, and the ingredients are super fresh. The service is very attentive - unlike other malatang places, they even cut up your vegetables for you! Highly recommend. Will be coming back on a regular basis.“

I feel like the staff's service training is good.
I live in Little Ferry, so Gyeonghoeru is further away,
I'm leaving Chapter XX on Palpac now, and even if it takes more time, I'm going here.“
