My son treated me to lunch and chose this restaurant because of its great reviews—and we definitely didn’t regret it. The food was delicious, and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. “Fantastic authentic Korean food and also very popular in the fort lee area as tables are almost never empty throughout the day as far as I know. This differs from kbbq places as they serve more advanced level korean food for patrons. There is no grill on the table so keep that in mind. We have been here on multiple occasions and have tried many menu items with flavors that are out of this world. This is the kinda of business that will be handed down for generations if they own the spot instead of renting the space. Long live the king of all korean restaurants in the tri state area!“

We also tried their muksal gul which tastes like the viet pork chop but meat also very tender and juicy

Summer time I usually get their cold noodles and those are also great here too!!

I usually go to their original location but the fort lee location is just as good but only downside is parking is a bit hard to find here
We got free japchae which was a big bonus too!

My fave thing about this place is their unlimited free collagen beef bone soup!!

“Located inside Han Nam Market, this is by far the best quality and cheapest priced korean food i've tried in NJ. It tastes very similar to my 할머니's cooking in Gapyeong, South Korea.

They have cheap combo prices between $8-16 and serving is very big! It comes with side dishes too! They accept most major credit cards incase you don't have cash.

Plenty of FREE parking outside the market, it does get busy on certain hours.“

“I tried 101 Chicken in Fort Lee and ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. The first thing you notice is the setup — they use a robot fryer, and the kitchen is fully visible from outside. It’s unusually clean for a fried chicken place, almost like a small lab, which immediately gives you confidence about how the food is handled.

The frying quality across the menu was consistently good, and the flavors felt cleaner and more balanced compared to a lot of other Korean-style chicken spots. Here’s what I tried:

101 Potato Crispy Chicken ($14.9)
The most unique item for sure. The potato-crusted coating gives it a sharp, crunchy bite, and the flavor has a slightly sweet, tangy “tomato snack” profile. Not ketchup, but similar enough that it stands out. I really enjoyed this one.

Supreme ($13.9)
Sweet-spicy Korean style with a creamy layer. Flavorful without feeling overly heavy. A good choice if you like sauced chicken.

Original Hot Pepper ($13.5)
Classic fried chicken with a mild spicy seasoning. The finish has a light mala-style tingle, which actually worked well.

Soy Honey ($13.5)
Light, sweet-soy glaze. Easy to eat and not overpowering.

Garlic Crumble ($13.9)
Crispy garlic bits with a touch of sweetness, somewhat like a garlic bread–inspired flavor. Nice, but less distinctive than the earlier ones.

101 Tteokbokki ($13)
Simple and nostalgic — very similar to the street-style tteokbokki you’d find outside Korean schools. Chewy rice cakes with a mildly spicy, slightly sweet sauce.

Cheese Balls ($7)
Crispy outside, chewy inside, and a little sweet at the end. Great with the truffle mayo.

They offer wings, boneless, and drumsticks. I thought the boneless was the best match for their seasoning — it’s dark-meat thigh, so it stays juicy and tender. If you prefer white meat, just keep that in mind.

Overall, I had a really good experience here.
The food was consistently well-fried, the flavors were interesting without being too much, and the open, spotless kitchen was a big plus. Definitely a place I’d come back to, and easy 5 stars from me.“

“Thanks to the kind Korean cashier, my family loves shopping at this store. Even my young child gets excited to go to H Mart, putting on her shoes as soon as she hears we’re going. During our last visit, I witnessed a younger customer (younger than the cashier) giving her a hard time for no apparent reason. Despite this, the cashier kept her smile and continued helping her to the very end, which reminded me of my mom. I felt sympathy, realizing how challenging that must have been for her. I’ll continue to visit this H Mart frequently. I’m grateful to have a Korean store near my home and truly appreciate the cashier who always greets us with a warm smile.“

They have also been able to accommodate a quick turnaround time (24 hours) for most common dishes. Our small church uses them almost monthly. The owner is a hard working woman and she can initially come off as being a little standoff-ish, but I’ve had nice conversations with her and she is very nice. The food is consistently good and our church has no complaints! Our go-to dishes are bulgogi, spicy pork, japchae, fried dumplings. “The tofu soup here's the best part and really their main specialty, everything else is really just a side to that and the Ban Chon which is very simple and straightforward. Ribs more expensive over the years but also good.

Updated 3/27/22: they no longer do the rice or if a hot rice bowl, then the crispy rice after in the bowl with barley tea in it, which is disappointing since that was a great part of the meal. While they have expanded part of their menu, the prices have also gone up with a tofu soup at $14 now and the barbecue at $27. 6% off if you pay cash. And the cucumber appetizer is no longer as good, this batch was more sour and spicy versus the sweet and spicy in the past. Also had to wait about 25 minutes for the barbecue, so be aware of that when you order. The soup comes out a lot faster and we were almost done with that by the time the barbecue came out. Also in the mushroom tofu soup, they no longer put enoki mushrooms, probably due to cost. Same as of 9/16/2022. But BBQ came a lot faster.

Banchan today on 12/2 was too salty. Varies on batch I guess?

The banchan was good today 4/2/23, and ramen serving was large. The squid stir fry didn't have the rice cake this time? Cash has a 6% discount.

“Best Korean chicken in Fort Lee! We ordered the Green Onion Chicken with a large combo. The chicken was perfectly crispy and hot, and the fresh green onions paired really well with it. We also had Cheese Snowing French Fries, they were also great and well-seasoned. Highly recommended!👍“
