Unfortunately, it was evident that they were understaffed (maybe it was just this one night? Things happen). The person who sat us was also the server, food runner, and busser; with all these responsibilities, it was impossible to be as attentive as I know they could have been because they were very sweet and polite. “The food here is excellent! I love when a chef has seasonal menus. We arrived the first night of their ‘Spring menu” and it was amazing. I had the crab cake appetizer and the scallops for my entree. The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. The hostess, the staff, and Chef were all so friendly and welcoming!“

“Step into déjà vu restaurant in Garfield New Jersey and enjoy the allure of Balkan food. I started off with some great appetizers and I highly recommend the melted cheese dip. I really enjoyed the chicken rolls wrapped in bacon and stuff with provolone cheese. Don’t skip out on dessert, then Nutella and banana crêpes are homemade and a must try. I also enjoyed a very delicious strawberry margarita. The staff was very attentive, and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The spot is great for a girls night out, date night, a family dinner. “We were looking for seafood in the area. My friend suggested this restaurant. Excellent choice. I had the lobster cognac, melt in your mouth taste with amazing sauce. My son had the filet of sole. Again great flavor and texture. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I will go there again!“

“This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“

Cooked right and in a thinner sauce with a little zing but not overpowering.Our dinners were the Godfather Trio (Veal, Shrimp Parm and Eggplan Rollantini) and the 16oz Sizzling steak.The Italian Trio was a good portion and had a nice sauce, very filling and a very reasonable price.The Steak was better than some steakhouses and "higher-end" restaurants that like to charge $40-$60 for it.The steak was PERFECT! And for a price point under $30 is one of the best bargains you can find! Flavor was amazing and cooked expertly!We finished with coffee and the Chocolate Mousse Cake & Cheesecake. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. On this trip I had the French toast with freshly squeezed orange juice. I realized half way through I didn’t photograph the meal (which was out of this world) is why it’s half eaten! “I've lived in Ridgewood for over 10 years and have been past this place many times and kept saying that I would stop and grab a burger here. Last night my fiancée and I finally dined in. The food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, especially top with their secret sauce and the sweet potato fries were delicious, with a side of garlic aioli dipping sauce. The atmosphere reminded me of being in a bar but with a hint of the calmness of a winter cabin in the woods. What made our experience top notch was the service. Kim was our server and she made our first time very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. Also, live music can be very loud. I wish they'd dial the volume down a tad on their speakers.“

The caretakers explained to us the importance of a repast, which is a gathering of mourners to assure the families are fed after the process. I am so glad they steered us to the right place. Joshua the manager, was so attentive to my needs. I wasn't familiar in planning for something like this and he made sure this process was painless. We did the buffet in the private rooms. The staff was outstanding and the food was impeccable. I will be forever grateful to Fire & Oak for their undivided attention. Many thanks to the entire team.“

Our bartender was friendly and he made fantastic cocktails. We ordered an app, two mains and a side dish to share. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous for the price. We both took home leftovers. But...minus one star for lack of attention paid to clear away our plates (or any of the adjacent patrons plates) as the next courses of food came out. There simply was not enough room on the bar top, and no one was clearing it away. The place needs a dedicated barback on weekends.“

“My brother and my nephew love going to this pool hall, however every time we go they stop it playing only rap and bad rabbit music, before there was all kinds of music where there was a good atmosphere, but lately the music leaves a lot to be desired .
