“My only complaint is that the lone worker today, when I was paying with a credit card (without tap) took my card and tried to use tap. Before she took my card I was going to put it into the card processor. When I pointed out that it doesn’t have tap, she (2x’s) typed my card information into the register screen and it was declined (plenty of credit was available because I got gas with it shortly after). I then used my debit card which she just took from me and again tried to use tap (again not a feature on that card either). She was finally able to put my card information for the debit card and it went through. If she had let me put my card in in the first place there would have been no problem with the original transaction attempt. I feel some of the staff might need better/more training on using the register.“

Dogs are a common visitor so if you don’t like them or are allergic you may want to make sure you find a seat away from our fury pals. It’s one of my favorite places in the area to hang out and witness some pretty good jazz and meet up with friends. LIC is a bit more modern and might be low on the history and charm of many neighborhoods in the city but 5th does a really great job of starting the area’s own vibe and identity.“

Not only is the food authentic and delicious (yakitori and sushi are to die for!) but the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and the staff is like family to us. The sake selection is also on point! You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“I had an amazing experience at Sahara’s Turkish Cuisine! The soup, Iskender kebab and Gyro were incredibly flavorful, with the kebab perfectly tender and rich in taste. We also tried an appetizer platter, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

To end the meal, the baklava with tea was absolutely perfect flaky, sweet, and a great complement to the tea. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that made the experience even better.

“I came here because of their amazing 4.9 rating on Google Maps, however, I was not amazed by their food. I got curry puffs to start my dinner. The puffs were nice and flavorful. The outside was light and flaky, and the insides were well seasoned with nice texture. The sauce came with was too sweet to my liking. Personally I prefer eating it as it is. I pad see ew with shrimp and added beef($5). The flavor was nice and the shrimp was fresh and clean. However, the beef wasn’t so good especially when I paid $5 extra for them. It was too dry and chewy.
Overall, it’s a standard Thai restaurant. The food was nice but nothing special about it.“

Their Dutch baby “Primadonna” pancake and lobster roll are to die for. Much of what is on the menu it’s imported from Italy of the finest ingredients. It’s always fun to take the ferry across from Manhattan to the Pepsi Cola Sign and walk a couple of blocks. They can accommodate large groups, children, pets, wheelchairs, (you name it) at their outdoor seating. Run there. 😊💕“

If you're not in the neighborhood, it's easy to get there on the subway (it's right between the 40th St. and 46th St. stations on the 7 subway line on Queens Blvd).“
