“Having grown up with Texas breakfast tacos I was excited to see a spot in Philly to create what I was missing from home. Bfast taco was good, flavor was def there. A bit on the pricier end for a breakfast taco, even with a homemade tortilla. Was hoping all salsas were given out as well, tried the guaijlo , had good flavor. Not sure if I’ll be a reg just because they’re pricey. But I do appreciate what they are bringing to Philly.“

“Food is great very creative I’d recommend the shrimp taco, new favorite place drinks are good too not watered down like other places. Service here is awesome. Leah is great our second visit she remembered my name she treats her regulars like we visit everyday. At one point I thought she was the owner bc she does such a great job running the place. This is now my favorite place to go.“

“Our first visit to La Ingrata and we had a wonderful experience. Co-owner Karla talked us through the menu and provided great service and conversation throughout the meal. I opted for a special of the day - pork pieces with skin still attached cooked in an amazing salsa verde, served with warm house-made tortillas, rice, and beans. So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. We started with the house-made guacamole which was outstanding, along with fresh in-house tortilla chips. BYOB meant we enjoyed the meal with our own beers. Outstanding food, friendly service, a chance to taste some new dishes and a Mexico City-style of cooking, and affordable prices - we'll definitely be back!“

“Yup! This place is great. There isn't a lot of seating but the hospitality is great here. We ordered an al pastor taco, shrimp taco, and Campechana quesadilla. Service was quick and it was nice how fresh the al pastor was. The shrimp taco was spicy which was very nice. The al pastor was very juicy. Hands down the Campechana quesadilla was my favorite thing in the menu. It was basically al pastor with cactus. I really liked the juiciness of the cactus. It was all so good that we forgot to put on our sauces. The place offers a ton of beverage options. From beer to flavored glass soda bottles to coffee. I opted for a coffee and it was amazing! They have a cafe style machine that works very well. We also got a guava soda just like you can pick up at a Mexican convenient store. The place also has to good amount of dessert which we both opt out of. There are donuts, pastries, etc. At the end of the meal we returned our trays to the front.“

“Unassumingly small, open late, and cash only. Incredibly good food. Haven't found anything on the menu that wasn't a 10/10. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.Parking: Can be difficult to find parking nearby, but that is not uncommon for the area.“

“I’ve eaten here twice, now. I thought there was no way that what I ordered tonight (quesadillas w/rib eye) could match the Bufalo pizza from two days ago. I was as wrong as I could be. I’m guessing that I will eat here 80 to 100 times this year. It’s THAT good.“

“Had a chorizo torta without jalapeños. On point, definitely delicious. Was visiting Philly from GA and I gotta say the Mexican food in Philly is so much better. The flavor of my food was unique and super delish. From the chips to the fries to the actual entree. Would come back here again if I’m ever back in Philly. Price was good too for the quality of the food.“

“I'm visiting NJ from El Paso, Texas and there is nowhere to find Puebla food :(. I ordered a cemita de milanesa de res and it was delicious ???? just as I remembered them on my visits to Puebla, the portion is huge ?, It only takes 2 servings, also pot coffee, that one lacked flavor. The place was clean, and the service was excellent from the young man who served us, very attentive, polite and helpful, I will definitely go again.“

“Everything here was 5 stars across the board — the food, the service, the atmosphere. As for the food, we ordered the birria tacos & ramen, along with a few of the HH street tacos. The flavor was amazing, I haven’t had birria so rich across the East Coast! The horchata was also amazing. The vibes were great inside, and Juana was so kind. It was a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back!“

“Love this place and go in/order here often since its local. I really like the birra dumplings and seafood eggroll. However, I recently tried their wings ordering out and was HIGHLY disappointed?. I paid $12 for soggy old meat with no flavor, yet I ordered the chipotle wings . I made my two friends try the wings bc i refused to even eat them. She said it burnt her lip and the smell made her nauseous. They were literally FUNKY. Will still continue to eat here because for the most part their food is good. However after this experience I won’t risk ordering their wings??!!!“

“My wife and I tried this place for the first time on 02/09. They actually had live entertainment! A guy singing his heart out in Spanish. It really added to the atmosphere. The food is phenomenal! Very authentic. The portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.“

“Very lively but well managed bar. Went for a Friday night show- bands were SLAMMING and the door price was very reasonable. The separated music area sounds great, but also blocks sounds well so you can have a conversation at the bar. Drinks were priced just right too, and there were food options before 10. Bar tenders were very professional and fast! After the music ends they do some music and dj events at the bar so you can keep the party going all night if you want. 5/5 stars I absolutely will be back.“

“Randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to order lunch to go. Didn't really expect much since I've never heard of the place before. But I got the Al pastor taco and was shocked at how delicious it was! An order of 3 tacos was $12 and the tacos were pretty big and filling. My partner got the tongue taco and menudo soup which he said was the best he's ever tried. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area!“

“Got some takeout and it was slammin'. This immediate area was heavily due for some really good Mexican/Hispanic food. Looking forward to dining in.Year update: It's still the best in the area and I'm always excited to eat here!“

“Service and most importantly the food are amazing. They take credit card. The tortas are normal American sandwich size. They're delicious but if you're expecting two meals out of one tortas you're going to be disappointed.Recommend the platter if you can sit down and eat. Good lunch size portion and comes with rice, beans, a tiny side salad (which was surprisingly refreshing) and tortillas. Great way to taste all their different flavors in one meal.100% a takeout joint though. there are just a few shaded chairs. no tables.“

“Wow! Can I tell you something? This place has amazing food! Fresh everything (tortillas, salsa, etc) and extremely well made. Really it’s some of the best I’ve had in Philly. And I loved the atmosphere and extremely kind customer service. Come here if you know good, real food.“

“This place is so good there isn’t something I haven’t tried yet that I don’t like. I don’t like fast food taco places but this place has so much flavor and your wouldn’t think it’s more on the fast food side of things.Wheelchair accessibility: Right on the corner, no stairs to get inside so easily accessible.“

“Had some time to kill between trains and stumbled across the food truck. I see now that they're known for seafood, but the al pastor burrito was fantastic and the service was great. Well worth the 10-minute schlep from 30th street station even with bags. (I am rarely moved to write reviews but this burrito was that inspiring!!) Thanks fellas, you're the best.“

“Ate from the truck for the first time last week and everything was awesome. I've always missed them, so I was excited to finally eat there and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and the service was amazing. I could eat there everyday.“
“I remember this corner when it was an extremely great Vietnamese restaurant... Thank goodness that it was replaced with an equally great taco business. El Metate's tacos are stuffed with well seasoned, slow cooked meats of your choice. They also make a variety of other meals from tortas, tostadas, nachos, and a few others. Fruit waters, fresh juice, and sodas are available. Pre Covid, there used to be seating inside. Now it's strictly takeout. The late hours takes the guess work out of where to go at 11pm when most places are closing or already closed. You can't miss this location. It's the corner with a mural of Al Pastor meat being sliced to serve!“

“Treat yourself to this place, it's a mixed crowd with young and old alike. The best thing about this place is the food and the Margerita towers. The service can be slow at times but well worth the wait. I can't stress enough how good the sautéed spinach is, and I never even liked spinach. The salmon egg rolls are to die for and just wow. Go here and enjoy, the food the food the food. And did I say the food ????“

“My bf and I came here to dinner tonight after some shopping and Kaitlyn… (sorry if I misspelled your name) was our amazing server!!!We were starving and I didn’t get a chance for photos but the chicken dip app, spicy chicken tacos, and chicken bowl were all great! The bowl had all the protein and goodness I was craving! So great as in… perfectly tasting, well served and quality worth. Drinks were also the best we’ve had at a Mexican restaurant in a while.. rosemary paloma was his fave! & I enjoyed the cocktail 'something smash' name, that I can’t remember. But we will be back! Thanks for a great dinner night out. Highly recommend“
