So much on this plate that I had to take half home for dinner! Oh and the lemon and lavender scone that I had as a morning appetizer was the last one. “Fantastic local pub with an extraordinary staff. The food is delicious and the selection is greater than your basic bar food. The chef always offers something unique. “We were greeted quickly, they had our rez listed, so we were escorted to our table right away. There were several tables with guests, but our waiter came over right away with water & menus. The service was great, the food was delicious (especially the short ribs and the Josh wine) and by the time we were ready to go, we were the only ones left. Definitely will return for another memorable dinner.“

“Dinner was lovely! Our server, Abby?, was excellent. Appetizers were outstanding (mushroom soup, creamy mushrooms on brioche, and the long hots with mushrooms). My cauliflower steak was fantastic, and my husband's sablefish was very tender. Dessert was a delicious chocolate bread pudding. Cocktails were very good as well. Sauvignon Blanc was ok. “Not sure why I waited so long to try this place but glad I finally got around to it. Warning: make reservations or be prepared to wait on the weekends. We arrived an hour before our reservation and enjoyed some drinks at the bar. Speaking of, be prepared to stand in a rather small, crowded space. But drinks help you forget about that. I tried the grapefruit cocktail and they certainly didn't water that drink down. Next up, the main event! We started with the pork belly fries which were tasty and perfect for sharing. I got the burger with short rib which was delicious. The service was fairly quick and friendly; honestly I was shocked they didn't rush us out considering it was nearing closing time. I'd return to try more burgers but I'd prefer lunch or a weekday since parking here is very limited with barely any street parking in sight.“

“I went in today for lunch with a good friend who is fighting cancer and haven't seen in a long time. Her stomache is very fickle and she did amazingly well with the food. It's definitely leaning towards fine dining. Linen table cloths, linen knapkins, polished silverware, white glove service without the gloves. Our sever observed us without being intrusive. He only served the next dished when we stopped eating the first one. If you're accustomed to being entertained by your server, this is not for you. If you value uninterrupted time spent with your guest while still not being neglected, this is for you. I actually like it when the server is vigilant but not overbearing. I want to enjoy the food, take in the atmosphere and speak with my friend, and our server allowed us to just be present. We never had to ask for anything. It was brought out at the right time, our needs were anticipated and we were greeted by Chef Jason, who greeted every table. I recommend the truffle oil fries, beet salad and hand held chicken pesto. The presentation of all three dishes was beautiful. Thank you so much. It was a really good experience.“

“The food and ambience were top shelf.  I had been there before previously with a friend eating at the bar and always thought it would be great to have my wife there on a special occasion. So we celebrated our anniversary last night and it filled in as the perfect place to do so. “

“Went last night and everything we order was amazing. I got a sandwich and the chicken was freshly fried. Also got what looked like a fried calzone filled with chicken and mozzarella then topped with vodka sauce, it was on another level. We also shared the special which was chicken leg that fell off the bone and was season perfectly. Everyone there was super nice, great atmosphere and people! Definitely will be going back.“

“This is my second visit to The Dinky Bar and Grill in Princeton which offers great views of the campus. We were going to see a play at McCarter and it is so convenient being across the street. The Dinky has an intimate vibe. Being the original Train Depot the feel of the place is still a train depot which I love. The menu is limited but certainly enough to choose from. There are shareable plates as well full entrees. Very good food and drinks. Our server Kayla was amazing. She needs to be recognized because she was extraordinary. A very busy place pre theater but Kayla never stopped smiling Great experience all around. Will definitely be going again.“

“I love this restaurant so much! I went last night with some family and we had an excellent time. Our server was fantastic and the food was incredible. I got the house salad and their delicious fries which are my favorite. I also was able to get a nonalcoholic margarita which was tasty and made my dinning experience much better. “Had brunch here with friends. Very cute place, and the food and drinks were tasty. The server was nice as well. Main reason for not 5 stars is that the tables are small (so takes some shuffling of plates if in a group) and are so close you overhear the conversations of every table around you, and they hear yours. Not ideal for a gossipy girl brunch or flirty dates, but otherwise we really enjoyed the experience. Would eat here again for sure - I had the scallops and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.“

“If you want good,authentic Greek without needing to go to a "high end" restaurant with "high end" pricing you found it! Jimmy's has always been consistently excellent with the food they have served me and my family. The service is fast and attentive and they do a good job making you feel welcome. The restaurant is nestled in a strip mall and when inside it is nicely decorated and comfortable. The Gyro platters and Mixed Grill platter are extremely good and the portion sizes are nice as well. The Lemon Potatoes are cooked perfectly and are addicting. My favorite side dish and if they come with the meals even better. The spinach rice is also highly recommended if you choose that as your side or have it with your meal. Always go back to this place as I haven't found a Greek restaurant close to them in the area.“

This bar is proudly #14 on NJ.com's Best Dive Bars list. I really like this place, wish it was closer to home. We used to find it by the giant satellite dish they had outside. I once tried to kiss a girl who worked here. She was so horrified she ran into the street. "Nooo..." Good times. Recently renovated before Covid. Bar top is lacquered plywood with a knotty pine fascia and walls. No foot rail but the floor is burnished (scorched) plywood. Stools are metal frame backed with cushion seats. Open 11AM to 2AM. “We enjoyed our Valentine's Day lunch at Tommy's. Inn.recently opened at his new location. I had a chicken quesadilla and a side salad of mixed greens and my sweetie had a bacon burger a fries. Very good and reasonably priced. Thanks Tommy!! We'll be back.“

“My husband and I tried Hamilton Tap and Grill for the first time today. Our waitress, Stacey, was very friendly and efficient. I mentioned that the roast beef that I ordered was too well done. The manager came to our table and said he was taking my sandwich off of the check. We will be back.“

“I've only ever gotten take out for breakfast, never dined in. First off, portions are insane for the omelet!!! You get more than your money's worth. Staff is always kind and patient. I usually get grubhub deliveries from here. And I can say they always remember who you are. It is fun to go and get food for myself. Not a grubhub pickup, and see the look on the one girl's face when she panics and sees there isn't an order. Nope just for me, I'm eating today ?“

“This could be a top of the line hoagie. I went with the Ham/Salami/Provolone. All it needs is a little more meat. The flavors are there. The bread is pretty good, being fresh with a slight crunch. But they are skimpy with the meat portions. A little more will go a long way. I would definitely go back, though.“

If that's your perspective than I'll feast on your prejudice at Iron and Ivy, an under the radar gem at the Forrestal Marriott in Princeton.A very low-key garden setting offers you a chance to converse using your inside voice while grazing through a menu running the gamut from burgers to a very tasty steak -- all while avoiding the restaurant scrum in downtown Princeton replete with time limits and credit card surcharges.Iron and Ivy is a nice change of pace and a secret that I have misgivings about revealing. We discovered this place via tiktok and wanted to check it out. the food was delicious. the truffle fries could've been a bit crispier, but the breakfast burger was everything! our waiter, Max, was super accommodating and sweet as well. he even let us in on his barista surprise which was also tasty. definitely recommend.“
