I have had okay service by some and great hospitality from others (the owner and Jemima, I believe is her name, have both given excellent personal service). Either way, the food makes up for it.I've had the pork griot, which is so delicious. Many places you get fried pork, you might be chewing for days; theirs is tender and flavorful. I just had the fritaille platter with the pork and everything included was fresh and delicious. I've also had the fish, chicken, and beef patties made with homemade puff pastry. They were all fresh and SO FLAKEY. Perfect puff pastry. They're also well-priced and a good value. Don't hesitate to try them, it's always busy for a reason!

“This place is right next to the Hamptonn Inn in Elizabeth which is pretty convenient. It wasn't super busy and they sit you down quickly with some good drinks. “Arrived on path and searched “food near me” saw the pictures of the wings and immediately decided to go here and it lived up to the rating. Everything was delicious, the wings were perfectly crunchy but still very juicy. The sauces were great with garlic parm being my favorite. The chimichurri burger was excellent and the beer batter rings were delicious. Ice cold beer would’ve took everything over the top but a jarrito was a great second choice. Will definitely come back whenever I’m in the area.“

“Calos Restaurant never disappoints! My absolute favorite is the linguine garlic with chicken and broccoli (yes, a custom order and they always get it perfect 🙌). The calamari is hands down the best, and they even offer a gluten-free option! And let’s talk about the drinks… Omg amazing. The mango lemonade and mango tea are my go-to favorites. 🥭✨ The arugula salad is to die for, and if you’re looking for a weekend treat, their brunch menu is pretty great too! I’ve had the Chicken parm here several times and it never disappoints. Great red sauce, generous portion, and reasonably priced. My friends had the bronzino and chicken milanese which they both loved, and they are food critics! The staff is always friendly and attentive. We feel lucky to have such a gem in our neighborhood. I was not disappointed in the slightest with my experience. The staff was super awesome and friendly. The show and servers were extremely organized and helpful. The experience is most definitely all there and I would go back again.

The merch there is also very very cool.

“Highly recommend! We had our wedding at Galloping Hill Golf Course in the summer of 2025. The day was everything we could have hoped for and everything went so smooth! We worked with Emily throughout the process and she was great to communicate with. Any questions were answered right away. We wanted a venue that had both inside and outdoor options and loved that it had a covered patio for use all night. Ellis was our day of coordinator and both of our bridal attendants made the day run so smooth. Our guests loved cocktail hour and dinner. There was a great amount of food we went with the seafood station, pasta, Brazilian, and Chinese. We also did the breakfast sandwiches to go for the end of the night! The golf course made great photo backgrounds as well. We had the best time and would do it all over again if we could!“

From Mike who sat with her to get it all on the calendar and get the ball rolling to all the individuals who were preparing the room when we arrived to start getting all the decorations up and all. Tara supervised all the servers and made sure they were on top of everything - and they were. Shout out to server Madison (sweet girl). And, the food was *absolutely* delicious!

“Visited a restaurant for the birthday party in May 2022. Clean, welcomed staff, good service, a lot of parking on the street. We placed an order. It was not too long, which is good because the reservation was for 6:30 pm and everybody was hungry. Appetizers were delicious especially both types of calmers. 3 people ordered NYS trip stakes. OMG! All 3 stakes were stingy. Nobody finished the stake. Medium and well done came up the same. Black color even tongue was black after eating the steak. It's because when cooked the steak did not clean the grail. Also, I recommend checking your receipt. We found 3 items that we did not get on the table for a total of almost $80. One of them we never ordered, and two newer ones were delivered to the table.“

“Terrific and nostalgic fare. Got Turkey club for my meal with their delicious French fries. The sandwich was good enough to conquer my hunger and I only ate half. Took home the leftovers. My husband had the classic burger with French fries and it was huge and cooked to perfection. He said it was juicy and full of flavor with all the toppings. We both liked that the French fries came in a metal cup container because it kept the temperature longer which allowed us to eat them warm. I chose the green tea iced tea and thought it was perfectly not too sweet. Hubby got plain iced tea and it was unsweetened and terrific too. Prices are comparable to the area with tip just under $60.“
