“Came here with some of my friends last week and we had a great meal. We got burgers, fries and some other meats. Now all 3 of my friends that came r Allison, bob, and Matt. They all work in an office and sit at a cubical all day. They definitely appreciate me taking them for dinner. We got here and it’s definitely a dive bar atmosphere I’m not used to that but it was a fun time. My friends gave it bad at home and me taking them out for dinner gave them time to vent. Allison said that her 14 yr old son crashed her car because she didn’t give him gas money, bob said that his wife tried to strangle him with her boot laces because he forgot to put soap in the washer and the clothes stunk, and Matt said that his husband did not pleasure him in bed as he had hoped for. Then all the sudden as we were eating Allison decided it would be a lovely time to start her period. She bled all over the chair so me , Matt and bob started to laugh and bully her. The staff was very helpful to her and we ended up just leaving after we ate. We were gonna stay for some beers but we decided we wanted to go home. Definitely come check this place out it’s worth ur time !“

“Mike's place is a slice of calm in a sea of madness. For starters atmosphere is warm, kind, and inviting. The drinks are always cold and Mike's place is a wonderful place to socialize. The bartender is approachable and respectful. There's very few places I would go to hangout and chill at. I can say that I would go to Mike's place at least once a week. Feel free to stop by Mike's place for a cold one and kick back. You won't be disappointed.“

“Morning, noon, and night, always a ton of fun. Stopped by for breakfast this morning and what a deal. Egg sandwich on a roll with sausage for $8?! Beautiful.

“JC Buddy’s of Jersey City Brunch Spot Worth Waking Up For!

We came for brunch and wow, Buddy’s absolutely delivered.

Biscuits & Gravy: The biscuits were fluffy clouds of joy… buttery, golden, and perfectly baked. The sausage gravy was rich, flavorful, and smothered lovingly over top. It didn’t drown the biscuits (which I appreciate!) but I wouldn’t have minded just a splash more gravy to soak up with those last bites. The side of potatoes? Unreal. Crispy, tender, almost like Greek lemon potatoes met a breakfast hash… and they fell in love.

Chicken & Waffles: O.M.G. The chicken was seasoned and spiced to perfection, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and not a hint of greasiness. The waffles were light, fluffy, and dusted with powdered sugar like a brunch snowstorm. Loved the option of classic maple and spiced maple syrup for a little kick. The only (tiny) drawback? I’m not a huge fan of bone-in chicken first thing in the morning, but that’s personal preference, not a deal-breaker.

Coffee & Service: Endless hot refills, attentive staff, and genuinely kind vibes. The coffee was solid good drip brew, no bitterness, and they never let the cup go empty.

And yes, one biscuit went mysteriously missing before I could grab a photo… my sister couldn’t resist diving in early. 😂

“We were here Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. We were afraid to order food because the last time, three months ago, it took a long time to bring us our food. But we decided to try again, and the surprise was that in less than 20 minutes, we had our food. And by the way, it was hot and delicious. Not bad for a Saturday night. My friends were very happy. The spaghetti with shrimp was the only miss, and the chicken Parmesan could’ve been crisper. I dined at the Grille twice, and was pleasantly surprised both times. I highly recommend the salmon meal, which is beautifully plated and incredibly decadent! It was accompanied by grilled lime! My chicken meal was garnished with fresh herbs. I was thrilled to be able to have a large selection of fresh vegetables to go with my main course. The food and beverage manager A’Quanda H. managed the entire front end of the restaurant masterfully! She bartended and waited tables in a timely manner demonstrating constant courtesy and professionalism. I give the restaurant TWO THUMBS UP!“
