“I visited this place on a snowy day, and they offered hot red date water—honestly the perfect drink for the middle of winter. The food was just as impressive: the Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles and the lamb paomo were both really authentic. Warm, comforting, and absolutely worth coming back for!“

“Second time to get take out from this place. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and they are fast! Food is usually ready for pickup in 20 minutes. It’s always hot and they give you plenty of sauces. Today they also gave us a free spicy kimchi, which was a nice surprise. We got the appetizer short ribs, crab soup dumplings, pork soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, shrimp shui mai, large mixed shui mai, wonton soup, and scallion pancakes. It was more than enough food for two of us and we will have the leftover for dinner. I hope they have the green beans next time, as I love those!! We will definitely order from here again!“

“This place is busy, but worth the wait! The menu system is online and looks really clunky, but with the help of Google review photos I settled on the pan fried noodles and braised pork hock (which is highly recommended). The pork comes in a dark, rich savory sauce (they mentioned after it can also come in a garlic Sichuan that is sweeter). The noodles were fresh, with soft scramble eggs and a tang I couldn’t identify. Very good. And the pork literally fell off the bone and the skin was unctuous and filled with collagen and flavor. Would’ve loved some soy sauce at the table, but all in all staff is friendly, the space is airy, and the food is insanely good.“

“This is by far the best quick/takeout Chinese Food in Jersey City. CASH ONLY, but they have an ATM inside with a $2.95 service charge. There's always 3-4 people working in the kitchen and the nicest no non-sense woman at the register. Solid pricing considering it's about the same as every other place in JC except quality is better here. Be good to them and they'll be good to you.“

“Excellent Chinese food, friendly service. Also for $38 I got sesame chicken, general Tso chicken, chicken and broccoli, 2 soups, and fried pork dumplings which is unheard of. I think most other places they would be $60-70 dollars. Great value

“Fun fact, I’ve been getting Chinese take out from Amin’s for years since my friend lives close by. Except I thought it was called Almond’s and therefore, never left a review ever. The food is always solid and super hot when we pick up. My favorite thing to order are their cheese wontons and sesame chicken.“

“Over 20 years ago I got almost every meal, every day from Old Peking. I was a super broke artist and the sweet couple who owns the place always treated us like family and fed us delicious food that literally saved us. It’s so awesome to see they are still open so many years later. I hope to go back one day and leave them a nice tip because I never could afford to leave a tip back in those days. Takeout menu and the pricing in either menu was different, takeout menu had a higher price and they had charged us based on takeout menu even though we dined in.“

There is one table inside with four chairs if you choose to eat in. Took off one star because the entree was very oily, and after eating there was a pool of oil separated from the soy sauce in the container - much more oil used than other Chinese joints in the area when I order the same dish.“
