“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! “If you are like me and have not had delicious barbecue for a long time, you will probably find it quite good. It feels like a Cantonese barbecue flavor. The pork is a salty barbecued pork, and the king of kings is also a little salty. Others I ordered include beef, mutton, gluten, and chicken hearts, which were both good! I love charcoal grilling + fresh grilling. Remember to bring cash!“

“I've tried a handful of spots at Urban Hawker, but this one might just be my favorite.

I've tried their Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice and their Grilled Chicken Curry Rice. Both are so good. I can see why their curry sauce is in half their menu lol. The curry is not too spicy, and the flavors just hit. It pairs really well with the chicken, whether grilled or cutlet. They also add an immense amount of cabbage. I am a big fan of vegetables, so I always love when restaurants give generous portions of it in a dish.

I'm honestly so stoked to come back and try their Hainanese Fish and Chips (saw many great reviews about).“

“A true 6 dollar meal it comes with rice, protein of choice, salad and fries. I usually get chicken over rice with extra pita bread. Comes out to 7 dollars, best food I can get. The drink comes included. However they did charge me for a drink once a few days ago. I’m not sure why I should have asked but I just assumed it was a change but the next day they didn’t charge me it? So I think I just lost a dollar at that point. 😔 but it doesn’t really ruin my experience of this place because other food area near by will charge me 3 dollars for an empanada or 10 dollars for fries. This place I can count on being fast and affordable and always good“

I tried the combo with roasted chicken and steamed chicken, and my wife ordered the steamed chicken rice. Both were moist, tender, and full of flavor — exactly what you want from authentic Hainanese chicken rice. The portion size was perfect for one person, and the meal came with a warm cup of chicken soup and steamed vegetables, which made it even better. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back!“

“Best soy milk , tofu and tofu pudding in the U.S.! They use a type of soy beans that are tinier, not the bigger ones grown in U.S. or Canada. The soy flavor is much more packed and stronger in their soy products!

If you wanna buy their soy beans, ask them for a loose 2-pound pack.“

“Absolutely 💯 loved my visit to Wafels and Dinges. I went to the Upper West Side branch, right next to American Museum of Natural History.

The staff was very sweet, nice, kind, chatty and warm. She was kind enough to give us samples before we placed our order.

It was fifa 2026 so they had the game also on. The cafe was lucky for us because the team I support scored 2 goals while we were there at the cafe.

The price on Tyne right side of the truck isn’t the right amount . They increased the price and had a different rate on the front of the cart ..

Got felafel over rice .. felafel was fresh ….i actually liked their saffron rice . It was fresh and tasted good . They gave it with salad and some sauce on the top. Costed about 11$ , which isn’t bad . Quantity of rice was small but it was good enough ! My friends had lamb over rice and they liked it . Good experience overall …“

“Best Tamales in NYC area can be found right here in upper Manhattan,145 street and Broadway.I have been eating Rajas con queso for over 10 years now,those are my favorite.These are hand made tamales and tend to be hot when you buy them.You can either eat them right away and enjoy a softer texture or wait a bit and they get harder but the taste is always consistently amazing“
