“Nestled in a small neighborhood, the location is unassuming but is a neighborhood gem. They have all of the traditional Caribbean eats plus a few items that I've never seen before. The ox tails were spectacular (will go back for those) and the mac n cheese was snap! The rice and peas were a little al dente and unfortunately the greens were gritty (not in any way saying that they are all the time, just happened to be this time) but had super great flavor and perfect texture. I will need going back to try more of their selection next time I'm in Bayonne,NJ“

The jerk chicken, plantains, rice and peas are excellent and the homemade ginger beer is a real plus. Ignore the ambiance, embrace the food! “I hadn’t been to this area in about six years, and the last time I was here, this spot was a Golden Krust. Coming back after so long, I went looking for an old favorite and ended up finding a new one — Juici Patties!
The patties here are truly amazing. Tonya was such a welcoming and friendly face when I stopped by for the first time. She helped me decide what to try and assured me everything was delicious — she wasn’t lying!
After grabbing lunch on my break that day, I was hooked. I’ve easily been back for at least ten patties since! I stop by during lunch and sometimes even before heading home. The ingredients are always fresh, and the fillings are packed with flavor.
The house-made juice is also a must-try — perfectly sweet and refreshing.
If you’re anywhere near Downtown Brooklyn, do yourself a favor and take the walk. You might just find your new addiction, too.

“I had an amazing experience here. The food is truly authentic and tastes like real home-cooked Jamaican meals. The curry goat is exceptional—perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The rice and peas with the brown rice was absolutely amazing and paired perfectly with the meal.

What also stood out was the service. The staff is patient, welcoming, and very helpful. They take the time to explain the dishes if you have questions and are incredibly flexible and accommodating. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and the experience they provide.

Everything was perfect from the food to the service. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine and great hospitality, I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be coming back.

“Was recommended to go here a couple of weeks ago by a friend who lives nearby and always Door Dash from here. Ordered the escovitch meal and fried whiting for my daughter. The whiting never made it home 😊 It was crunchy and very well seasoned. My daughter ate it all in the car. Thank you to the server for giving her good pieces. The escovitch, I should've gotten a large. It was so good. Definitely a much different and better taste that what I am used to in Queens. I will definitely be back“

The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“I went here and tried their oxtails and rice and peas, which the oxtails was so fatty for $25. The Rasta pasta with your chicken was delicious. The chicken was so juicy and tasteful. The mac & cheese was OK out of 5 I’ll give it a 3 it is better than a lot of Jamaican restaurants that sell mac & cheese. They do not know how to cook mac & cheese but all I all theirs was ok.

The fried chicken was OK. And I also ordered my Aunt oxtails and rice and beans which my total came up to $100. Plus I got two of a juices for eight dollars which I did not like so $16 went down the drain. The oxtails were flavorful but super fatty. How are you selling small fatty oxtails for $25 with so much fat on them is ridiculous to me. Overall, I will give this place a 4 out of 5. The only reason why they’re not getting a five is because I did not appreciate those oxtails being fatty.“

Everything we had was very authentically Jamaican, I should know because my ex husband was from there and his dear Mom was a great chef; therefore, I am spoiled when it comes their cuisine! Also as a Cuban I know about plantains and the ones we experience there were close to perfection. “Anyway, I went on TikTok craving a good plate of jerk chicken and we all know Tik Tok is an amazing guide. I saw a video about irie jerk and KNEW I had to try it the same day. And I did. Since then I have been a regular at irie jerk. I have always had a great experience and my chicken is always up to par. I truly appreciate the copious amounts of sauces available! My favorite combo is the sweet chill and chilli jerk. It gives me the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. Since the closing of the jerk spot on church and 94th I haven’t found a place that gives the same jerk chicken taste it was popular for until I found irie jerk.

After reading all of the reviews, let me say the time of day in which you purchase food makes a big difference at ANY and EVERY food establishment. There are busy days and there are slow days. This will directly affect the food quality. Additionally food is subjective, what I look for in jerk chicken may not be what the next person looks for.

“First off, I want to say that I never planned on stopping in. I was in the area because I was touring and Dean greeted me with a smile and a wave from the window. When I came back around and let him know I was interested in the menu options, he started tell me about his discounts and promotions. Unfortunately most of those things were meet, and I'm vegetarian so I asked if he had any vegetarian options and that I was hoping for patty and plantain.

He told me he did have callaloo+ kale and an ackee patty. He made them himself, and even gave me a complimentary drink. I chose sorrel, one of my favorite drinks growing up.

He packed them neatly and gave me some extra bag so I could carry it, and when I finally got to the house I was able to take a bite of each patty. At least I planned it to just be a bite.

When I tell you the flavors, the creaminess, the reminder of home just slap me in the tongue! I was in heaven. The sorrel was surprisingly sweet and delicious and I had to force myself to stop drinking it so fast. If I hadn't been so hungry and the food wasn't so good. I would have some pictures to show y'all, when I say I tore that food UP. I did not get paid for this, he did not ask me to write a review, but the food was just so.dang.good.
