“Wow, what a CUTE tea shop. I love tea, so I was so happy to finally visit this shop on my trip from CA. The shop is small but has plenty of seating. The vibe is quaint and elegant while still feeling welcoming and approachable—some high-quality tea places can sometimes be very snobbish which is a turn off.

Everything here feels so thoughtfully done, from the decor and music to the menu layout and the small traditional Taiwanese snacks served alongside the tea. There’s something for both a tea connoisseur or a tea curious beginner.

You can really tell how much love and care went into creating this space. The service was kind and welcoming as well. The staff Queenie and Nadira were fantastic. ✨🫶🏽✨

“Such a wonderful experience at Jin Yun Fu Tea Shop! My husband and I did the Horizontal Tea Flight and tried the oolong, pu’er, and white tea. Each one was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully explained. After each pour you start to see the true form of the tea.

Olivia was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. She made us feel completely at home from the moment we walked in. The entire atmosphere was so zen and calming. Even with the busy street outside, it felt like we could truly slow down and just be present.

We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something intentional and special. We def want to come back for the Song Cha experience.“

“Orchid Tea Cafe is the best place to have lunch or dinner with a small group of friends! My friend brought me to this place for dinner and it was so cozy and vibey. The owner is so sweet and the way she interacts with her customers and how regulars come in to chat with her shows how much she loves what she does and how passionate she is about her business. While eating me and my friends played one of the board games they had available and had such a nice time eating and chatting in the establishment. Would definitely come again!“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “First time trying matcha, Jody and Richell were so kind! Walked me through the menu and helped me decide which drink to try first .. because i will be back for more!! There are so many to choose from. You can really taste the quality and flavor in the drink. I tried the “Earth Glow” it was a 10/10 for first time matcha trying.“

“Had a lovely morning tea at Paquita! The space is quaint and fields a little bit like a Victorian time capsule. The tea is priced extremely fairly and it seems like so much pair has been put into every utensil and cup. I had a pot of the mint chai, with a side of milk and honey, and it was delicious! I also had a slice of the Matcha loaf, which was a highlight. Highly recommend for a casual, but thoughtful the experience— feels like you’ve happened upon a little gem.“

Our party had some dietary restrictions (one gluten-free/celiac and one vegetarian) and the team was so thoughtful about accommodations so we could all enjoy the treats. It was all delicious, and the decor/atmosphere was so peaceful and beautiful. The service was amazing as well, and we all agreed the tea service was offered at a really good price point, especially for NYC. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!“

“I came to the shop to buy one thing but ended up leaving with many teas. They were all great choices that went over well with my friends and family. The two ladies who worked the front seemed to know a lot about the different teas, superb answers. Tied bows around my tea pouches and everything. get the Siam basil or the Ashram is you like tasty herb tea. I Hoping they get the tea boxes back soon

A+ Grade A Standout Memorable Attentive Harmann speaks multiple languages , knows the menu inside and out and is incredibly knowledgeable about Laduree . I was transported back to the flagship location in Paris 👌🏿🙌🏿🇫🇷 This is hospitality ! He created a great experience for me and recommended items for brunch and to take home as gifts ! He truly deserves to be recognized. Keep up the great atmosphere and global standard of Laduree !“

“Every neighborhood in NYC deserves a really good cafe...and I think Poetica serves that role for Windsor Terrace. Poetica has all the essentials for a good cafe -- great coffee, a pleasant atmosphere, large seating area , and a clean working bathroom. All of this is capably managed by Nozima, the location supervisor who is super friendly, creating a very welcoming atmosphere for friends, families, students and remote workers. When a latte costs 6 dollars, the coffee has to be good, and Poetica's coffee is consistently good. Making really good coffee is tricky so the Poetica staff must be well trained. This location also makes delicious breakfast sandwiches and salads and serves fresh baked goods. And for early risers, this locationa always opens at 7:00 am sharp. Overall Poetica is a great asset to the Windsor Terrace neighborhood.“

“This place has made the best cookie and brownie combination ever. I love getting brookies in Brooklyn Heights from Alice's Tea Cup to Go. Plus, I have been to Chapter I in Manhattan where they made a tasty salad and a delicious Alice's Croque Madame sandwich. Here's hoping we can all still support local business for Alice's Tea Cup whether it's still around in Brooklyn or Manhattan.“

“Found this Gem on our way back to Jersey and it was a lovely find. Had a great variety of Teas! But of course I had to have the Nutella Latte once I saw it on the menu. “Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. Lovely small intimate setting too where we felt our custom was welcome rather than feeling just a number as we were one of just 3 tables there. Would we return? Absolutely!“

“A cute cafe with beautiful pastries that taste just as good as they look. The pastries were both visually appealing and delicious.

The space inside isn’t very large, but there is seating available if you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee and dessert. A lovely spot to stop by for a sweet treat.“

“The owner was very friendly and was able to explain the different kinds of tea to me. I'll warn you that it's a bit of an eccentric place: you'll be asked to take off your shoes when you go downstairs, and you won't be allowed to take photos because "it's technology" (the reason I was given). His philosophy of tea is too new-agey for a coffee drinker like me, but I didn't mind that so much, really. I did appreciate the atmosphere. Once you step outside, you'll forget that you had just been on a city sidewalk within seconds. I saw some beautifully crafted clothing items and inquired about their purchase, but they aren't sold over the internet, which bums me out because I'd have to come back all the way to Brooklyn to buy them.“

“Chai Spot is the ultimate third space, and one of my favorite places in NYC. I am a frequent flyer here. I come all the way from Brooklyn. Every time I have come to do work, create, or savor a delicious homemade chai with a friend, I have always found a seat in the back. I appreciate Chai Spot's intentional atmosphere. Soft music and soft lighting create a soft atmosphere, where friends sit comfortably and enjoy quiet conversations. I cannot say enough positive things about this hidden gem in Lower Manhattan. One of the city's best kept secrets (selfishly, I hope it stays that way!)“
