“Wow, what a CUTE tea shop. I love tea, so I was so happy to finally visit this shop on my trip from CA. The shop is small but has plenty of seating. The vibe is quaint and elegant while still feeling welcoming and approachable—some high-quality tea places can sometimes be very snobbish which is a turn off.

Everything here feels so thoughtfully done, from the decor and music to the menu layout and the small traditional Taiwanese snacks served alongside the tea. There’s something for both a tea connoisseur or a tea curious beginner.

You can really tell how much love and care went into creating this space. The service was kind and welcoming as well. The staff Queenie and Nadira were fantastic. ✨🫶🏽✨

“I went on a trip to New York with three of my friends who are all tea lovers like me. None of them had ever had a traditional tea ceremony, so I had to take them and try it out! I had a great time learning with them, and absorbing the information the owner gave us about the tea, the culture, and the practice of making real, good tea. Nothing like what you get in a cafe, its quality is beyond good! Though if you take sugar and milk in your tea, dont expect it here. Its traditionally made, traditionally drank! Just the tea, atmosphere, and educational yet zen vibes. I dont live in New york, but I'll certainly buy from Jin Yun Fu again! I wont go back to brewing and experiencing tea any other way 🫶“

“If you want to re-experience early 2010s NYC, where AI slop and gentrification and loss of basic subway etiquette were yet to be a thing, Orchid Tea is the best I can recommend. The decor is cozy and cluttered in a way no Instagrammable boba shop would ever allow. The food is fabulous. But don't come here if you're expecting to be in and out by 20 mins tops. Stay. Enjoy the atmosphere.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “Julian, Khadiza, Orchid, Mikka, and the whole team here are so wonderful! Delicious matcha, great plant-based options, excellent pastries and amazing seasonal drinks. The service is fantastic and they make a point of getting to know their regulars, which makes it such a lovely way to start the day. We love having this place in the neighborhood. Highly recommend the earth glow, the strawberry matcha, and trying whatever the seasonal drink special is— I have yet to try one I didn’t love!“

“Had a lovely morning tea at Paquita! The space is quaint and fields a little bit like a Victorian time capsule. The tea is priced extremely fairly and it seems like so much pair has been put into every utensil and cup. I had a pot of the mint chai, with a side of milk and honey, and it was delicious! I also had a slice of the Matcha loaf, which was a highlight. Highly recommend for a casual, but thoughtful the experience— feels like you’ve happened upon a little gem.“

“Hard to find, I navigated to the cricket store next door. The gentleman here was so helpful with making recommendations and the teas are fairly priced. The atmosphere of the store was so fun I wish they did tea service here, but when we visited it was only open for retail.“

“Poetica became my go to coffee shop for studying. The place feels so cozy and comfortable, honestly like home sometimes, and it helped me a lot during residency and board prep.

Nazeema is always so welcoming and kind with everyone. She remembers her customers, asks me about my daughter, work, and studies, and always serves amazing coffee with a smile. You can tell she really cares about people and gives attention to everyone.

I really wish I found this place earlier. I would honestly drive there every day to study, and I also love bringing my daughter there for brunch during weekends or school breaks.

“This place has made the best cookie and brownie combination ever. I love getting brookies in Brooklyn Heights from Alice's Tea Cup to Go. Plus, I have been to Chapter I in Manhattan where they made a tasty salad and a delicious Alice's Croque Madame sandwich. Here's hoping we can all still support local business for Alice's Tea Cup whether it's still around in Brooklyn or Manhattan.“

A+ Grade A Standout Memorable Attentive Harmann speaks multiple languages , knows the menu inside and out and is incredibly knowledgeable about Laduree . I was transported back to the flagship location in Paris 👌🏿🙌🏿🇫🇷 This is hospitality ! He created a great experience for me and recommended items for brunch and to take home as gifts ! “Wanting to take my daughter for a special treat whilst in New York for a few days we booked afternoon tea in the Pembroke Room at the Lowell Hotel after knocking back the Plaza after reading a few dodgy reviews. So pleased we did as we spent over 2 hours enjoying every moment. The service was excellent as was the food, especially the warm scones. It’s a shame the cream was “Devonshire” rather than the traditional Clotted Cornish but other than that it was perfection. Lovely small intimate setting too where we felt our custom was welcome rather than feeling just a number as we were one of just 3 tables there. Would we return? Absolutely!“

“This is a stunning tea room with baccarat crystal chandeliers, a nice selection of teas, finger foods that are not just pretty but actually delicious, especially the scones (not dry at all, more like a dense moist shortbread). We sprung for a bottle of champagne and caviar as well. A really nice relaxing, luxurious way to spend an afternoon away from the typical midtown experience. I will plan on coming back sometime to visit the bar maybe before a show. It's beautiful.“

“A cute cafe with beautiful pastries that taste just as good as they look. The pastries were both visually appealing and delicious.

The space inside isn’t very large, but there is seating available if you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee and dessert. A lovely spot to stop by for a sweet treat.“

“Came to this location a few times for drinks and they’ve been mostly pleasant besides the super long wait times, but that’s expected at most heyteas especially when it’s crowded. For July 4th there was a promotion where if you ordered 2 drinks you get a free magnet but apparently you’re supposed to order in person in order to get the free magnet which is really confusing especially since it wasn’t mentioned on the advertisement outside the store or even on the app… Also because ordering on the app always seems more convenient considering the wait times and the very little space in the store. Kiosks weren’t working at the time. There’s no seating or tables this is a grab and go heytea spot. Overall the drinks taste pretty high quality but definitely one of the boba spots I don’t come to regularly due to the wait time and price.“

“My mother and I had breakfast here and I am thankful that Jessie was our server. She brought extra joy to our morning and contributed so much laughter to our meal. When I told her I was picking up my wedding dress after breakfast, she gave us complimentary champagne and pastries to celebrate. I cannot wait to pop in and see her again! “The owner was very friendly and was able to explain the different kinds of tea to me. I'll warn you that it's a bit of an eccentric place: you'll be asked to take off your shoes when you go downstairs, and you won't be allowed to take photos because "it's technology" (the reason I was given). His philosophy of tea is too new-agey for a coffee drinker like me, but I didn't mind that so much, really. I did appreciate the atmosphere. Once you step outside, you'll forget that you had just been on a city sidewalk within seconds. I saw some beautifully crafted clothing items and inquired about their purchase, but they aren't sold over the internet, which bums me out because I'd have to come back all the way to Brooklyn to buy them.“
