The owners are extremely kind and will always do their best to make sure the food is good and you enjoy yourself. I’ve been looking for some authentic persian food for a while and this is easily my top choice in NJ. Seriously if you are ever in the area and are considering going here it is well worth it.
The food is cooked fresh when you order so take some time to enjoy the atmosphere and menu. They have everything from homemade cultural teas to fantastic kebabs and desserts. Don't miss the crispy wings, especially with the delicious mango habanero sauce! Their menu has plenty of other options. It's a small place, so it's probably best for takeout.

My mother and I drove here from an hour away for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and Alhamdulillah, we enjoyed our time immensely.

We found street parking easily right outside, the ambience and atmosphere is lovely,, the people were kind and took care of us with a smile (they treated everyone that walked in like family!), and the food delicious from soups to meals. The pita was soft and delicious, perfectly made and enjoyed immensely by us Pakistanis who live on roti! The salad had the best spicy kick and the shrimp meal we ordered was absolutely wonderful - coming from someone who married someone that grew up at the shore and just as picky about seafood now, this cast iron dish was cooked to perfection. I wanted to bring it home for my beach boy to try but it never made it home (Astaghfirullah 😅). But it's okay cuz we're coming back to get some more,

“I've been coming here for years!!! The most authentic Greek food I've had here in the states. Everything on the menu is a hit. The food takes about 10 minutes if you order in-person. Everything is fresh, tasty, and quality. There is limited seating indoors but plenty of additional seating outside to immerse yourself in the Montclair streetscape. The owner, Efi, is extremely accommodating and professional. She cares deeply about the quality of food and service. I can't recommend this place enough. Fair warning though: you will crave Efi's Gyro after trying it!“

I placed a large order consisting of kebab platter, shawarma cheesesteak sandwich, mixed grill platter, tabouleh salad, stuffed grape leaves, baba ghanoush, cheese borek, and basbousa, accompanied by pickles and sauces,for delivery for 4pm. Not only were they punctual but the food was delicious and reminded me of my days in Egypt where I grew up. Furthermore, at around 5 pm I got a call from Moe, the owner to ask me whether I was satisfied with the order and to let him know how he could make it better… That goes way beyond quality service !! I highly recommend his restaurant and wish him the best of luck !👏👏👏“

“Goes this place doesn't have a higher rating on Google is beyond me. The falefal is a 5 o ut of 5 The rice is the best I've ever had. It's both soft and creamy almost! I'm having the lamb shish kaboblan special. It is juicy and not chewy. Nothing is ever over salted here or overcooked the many times that I've been here. I even drive here for lunch 20 minutes away, even though there's Middle Eastern places a few minutes away from my job. The beef liver is great. Here the baba ganoush and hummus are tasty. Not oily. Very good lentil soup. It really tastes homemade!“

“I came across Karen bakery randomly while looking for bakeries in the JC area. The store is unassuming and the smell of fresh baked bread hits you as you enter. It was amazing to see the carts full of freshly baked carbs. There were no menus so, it was a little confusing trying to figure out what to get. Ended up getting a bag of buttermilk bread and a box of basbousa (sweet semolina cake). The buttermilk bread was gigantic! Probably measured at least 12"x12". It's a flatbread with many layers, seems like it would be good to dip with soup or use as a wrap. The basbousa was satisfyingly sweet, with a gritty texture because of the semolina but would pair very well with some tea for an afternoon snack. Can't wait to return to try out some other baked goods.“

Service: Mohammad served us, he is a very funny guy. Knew how to keep a conversation while also keeping things professional and making us laugh. 10/10.
Atmosphere: Pretty simple inside. Just chairs and tables and the food serving bar. Still a very nice place.

“These guys are the BEST!!!!! Every single item in the menu is sooooo delicious!!!! I go there quite often since I discovered it!!!! The price is very fair. They only accept cash and Venmo however, so if you don’t know that prior to arriving- it could be a little turn off. However, there is a local shop with an atm nearby where you can withdraw cash from!!!! I do not recommend leaving only because you don’t have cash, because the food is AMAZING!!!!!! You can eat outside, they have a few tables and chairs!!! I usually go there for take-out!“
