“Stopped by the newly opened Gigi’s in Long Branch on my way to the beach. First off, loved that they have a parking lot which didn’t stress me about finding a spot cause I was going to have that adventure when I headed to the beach. I ordered the grandma’s pie and garlic knots! The grandma’s pie had pesto on it and I am a s***** for pesto!! Love the crust style being crispy. Hands down the best garlic knots I ever had! Don’t sleep on this place. It’s 3 blocks from the beach, easy parking and they deliver. I look forward to some pasta dishes on my next visit! Other key likes of mine was the aesthetic, it’s beautiful Inside but decorated to make you feel outside. I was very impressed with the kid friendly atmosphere of the chalkboard wall, beanbag seats and they even have juice boxes on hand for the kiddos. They also accommodate our tweens and teens with a pizza wing mural for their insta! They really thought of everything. The whole staff were so accommodating and genuine. “Been going to Max’s since I was kid & they were on the Boardwalk. Still the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Also love their crispy onion rings, steak fries, zucchini fries & sweet potato fries. Other menu items look good however I cannot go to Max’s without getting their famous hot dog!“

“R Bar is always a joy! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, so it's nice to step into R Bar when I'm in the gumbo, second line band, gritty state of mind. The drinks are fabulous (Fireside Chat) and the seafood gumbo is the best in the land. Service is always great and do catch the Ocean Ave Stompers there if you ever get a chance! It turns into a mini Mardi Gras! It's one of those places where you want it to be popular so it thrives and stays around for years and years, yet you don't want it to get too popular so that it becomes snooty like every other popular NJ restaurant. The room upstairs was very spacious for our group of 40 people. It was nice to have our own bathroom and bar. The servers were friendly and attentive and also very helpful. “First time at Charlie’s of Lincroft after frequenting their Bay Head location for years. The experience was 5 stars all the way around. Food was excellent and our server Heidi was top notch! “We’ve been going to Illiano’s nearly 36 years. It’s been great since day 1. We usually do takeout and find the pizza, subs and garlic knots to be the best in Monmouth County. When we moved out of town about 3 years ago we tried to find something that was comparable and closer, but that didn’t work out so make the trip back just about every Friday night. We highly recommend them!“

“Crashed a private event and it was just my style. Might be stuffy in comparison to the bar around the corner, but otherwise seems like first class classical music and comfy couches for a celebratory drink. Can't comment on the food.

“Just stopped in for happy hour and had a mango crush and their shot of the week (passion fruit lemon drop). The drink was delicious and super sweet and yummy. The shot came in a church communion cup, given that it’s more of a mixed drink than a shot, for $5 it’s not really worth it.
Other than that, it’s right on the boardwalk and the vibes there were great.“
