“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“I was always fond of dive bars so this was a pleasant experience. It’s a small bar so very intimate so you’ll get to know other patrons. Pretty much exactly what you would look for in lower east side during your college years looking for cheap drinks and conservation.

Crowd is friendly and it’s easy to park there actually if you plan on being the designated driver. I was here for a private birthday party so they will set up the bar for you and host an event. David’s is fun.“

“The band, The Gyst were fantastic. They are a professional band, sound great, and I drove 3 hours to hear them play. The place and people loved them, I would suggest having them play at your establishment more often. The food was also phenomenal.“

“O'Donnell's Pub has the best Guinness I've ever had. (And I have been to Ireland). Most places must use the wrong gases, or don't clean the beer lines and it taste almost grassy. Not a O'Donnell's. It is smooth and just fantastic.“

“Had a great late lunch at DPS Tavern in Garfield, NJ with my husband and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few appetizers and everything was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The service was excellent, super attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, and the people there were just great overall. We’ll definitely be going back!“

“We had such an amazing experience at White Horse Tavern. Even our picky daughters (when they want to be) had a great time. We took them out of school for an adventurous city day and we were looking for a kid friendly place to eat in the area. This was it. Do they have a children’s menu? No but they have what kids on a picky day would like, starchy foods like a pretzel and chips with guac. We did think they had Mac and cheese but we were told that was only on the dinner menu. Whatever, we made it work. Kids got to eat and us parents were able to eat and have a drink. Hands down the best dirty martini I ever had. They knew EXACTLY how to work with Bombay Saphire… not many places do. My husband had the burger with blue cheese and he states it was the best burger he had in the city in a very long time. I had the Clam Chowder pot pie. It was excellent. The broth could have been thicker but I wasn’t mad about it. At some point the chef came out to introduce himself and ask how our food was. The girls gave their thumbs up and we were so happy to praise him on his skills. We all left with our bellies full.“

We’ve been dining at The Front Porch regularly for the past 12 months and not only is the food creative and delicious (Asian fusion pub food, so YUMMY!), the staff is super friendly and the drinks are awesome. “It took a minute for a waitress to notice we had seated ourselves at an outdoor table, but about the time we decided to leave she showed up. The Cajun dry rub wings were excellent and honestly no heat (yay). We don't like wet wings. The guacamole was authentic. The cabernet was a California brand,Murphy Goode. We like Argentina wines so obviously we thought it watered down and not full bodied, but it was smooth. I would eat here again and it was very popular. The dressing for the veggies were watered down (ranch and blue cheese), but again the guacamole and dry rub wings were A++“

“Karol's Pub is a hidden gem. They sell Zywiec, which is great Polish beer, smooth and incredibly potent. The walls are covered with cartoon murals, there's a pool table in the back, a dart board, and an awesome digital jukebox. Karol himself is a great, easygoing funny guy. The bar has plenty of regulars, and DJs on Friday nights. They don't sell food, however they have menus from nearby pizza places available and you can order delivery to the pub.“
