Had the tuna tartare- think they can sauce up a little bit and hit with a " vehicle" ( tostada, etc), but overall, fine!! And surprisingly fresh for the area. Grilled Caesar- fantastic. Croquettes ( jamon) more my husbands thing but the sauce was good and I totally enjoyed ! Staff is sweet and super excited to have you. Ambiance is gorgeous. And honestly- food, room for improvement but definitely a major highlight of the area.

For those of you submitting bad reviews, shame on you. I have to take a guess and say 1.) you think you have taste because you lived in Murray Hill for a couple years, did a stint and Hoboken then made your way to the suburbs of Jersey. News flash, it's northern Jersey. You should be appreciative this place is putting an effort in to offer a more elegant experience than the harvest restaurants and chipotle around town. These people are trying, and we should be encouraging this type of development in our town as much as possible. OR 2.) you're so violently upset by the costing of tapas that you blow their whole rating on that, you aren't the target audience.

The service was lackluster unfortunately I don't know if the person was new but we ordered a bottle of wine they brought it to our table open which is not customary. And poured the wine directly into a carafe without us checking the bottle. Service at the end we were handed a bill We were not asked if we wanted dessert or anything of that nature.“

“We had an exceptional experience. This was our first time dining at Capital Grille, Whippany and it was perfect from start to finish. The food was perfectly cooked. We each got steak and it was cooked exactly as requested. The sides were delicious (creamed spinach & roasted mushrooms), the shrimp cocktail was one of the best I've had. The presentation was beautiful. We were never rushed, the pace of the dinner was relaxing and enjoyable. Our server, Luisa G. was wonderful! “We went to celebrate Thanksgiving at Seasons and we were blown away. The food was fenomenal! Portions were huge and a price was reasonable. They were busy, but the service was outstanding. “This is the first 5 Star restaurant we have found in NJ since moving in 1991 from Manhatten. Four of us went this past sunday evening. Everything was 5 star,including food; Niavh's (Irish name pronounced as Nieve) service; and the personable manager, Dave. Gorgeous wood and glass. Great Ambience. Easy to park. “Unexpectedly great. We arrived without reservations on a holiday Monday for a light dinner while traveling thru Morristown. My husband picked this place and we arrived as-is, clearly underdressed. I figured that since it was a Westin hotel that we could pass off as travellers.
The menu had just changed over to the Autumn menu - hearty, earth items like Fall mushrooms, truffle crispy gnocchi, beets salad, foie gras etc. Lots of items to choose from. Our favs were the Fall wild mushrooms and the Caesar Salad. Kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and wings. They rated the fries 4.5/5 (which is really great).
Ambiance: my youngest commented that this is one of the nicest hotel restaurants he's been in (granted he doesn't remember half the places we've been). For a corporate business hotel, the restaurant is very comfortable and warm. Attentive, friendly staff. Decent wine selection and autumn cocktail menu. Plenty of banquet seating along the wall with 2 tops to have a nice solo meal and people watching. On the upper platform of the dining room dedicated for group corporate dinners.
Overall a solid upscale corporate, group restaurant venue. Still comfortable enough for a casual meal. Just be aware of the cost. It's definitely priced as up market.
