“I have always found the food to be of very good quality. They are very consistent in whatever they prepare. Food is ready on time. However, on a recent visit I was very disappointed in one of the four dishes that we ordered. We ordered a fried calamari appetizer and very few pieces were included given the price of the appetizer. Additionally, the presentation was quite poor. For this reason I am dropping my rating one star.“

“We came across Empire Schezuan by googling one night, and never looked back. It is our go to! They are so friendly and accommodating (food allergy) on the phone every single time. The food is ALWAYS amazing; never oily or greasy. Everything tastes high quality every time we order. Delivery is always prompt, food is hot, driver is SO kind. I highly recommend this restaurant!!“

“Used to be my go-to Chinese place a few years ago. Went basic with general tso combo to test the waters again. Food was decent. Portion and container shrunk considerably. Same shape but shallow. We notice. Overall not bad. Not sure why so many places just can't get this dish crispy“

“Food is good. We ordered 2 different sushi and chicken katsu. One of the sushi was served raw (as most sushi are) and I can't eat them cause I am BF-ing my baby. We told the staff and they cooked them for us. Good food and descent price. The atmosphere is good and quiet for a date night with my husband.“

“This is hands down my favorite local sushi spot. Whether you sit in or order take out, the food is always delicious. My favorite roll is definitely the yellowtail special. It has yellowtail, ikura and avocado. I havent see any other sushi place do this combo before but its def a must try. The ikura here is flavorful and the uni is also fresh! Service is great even when its a little busy. Definitely stop by if youre passing through the area and have a sushi craving.“

“I have only ordered delivery here, door dash to be exact. Everything I’ve had here has been absolutely delicious. I’ve had the ribs, the shrimp tempura, pork fried rice, general tso’s chicken and chicken and broccoli. All were absolutely outstanding and that’s takeout! Imagine sit down. 5 out of 5 stars.“

“Came here with friends and was surprised to discover a great sushi place with such tasty rolls tucked into a strip mall I have been to countless times.This is no hidden gem to the locals, the restaurant is always crowded, with a line out the door at times. “Sono has always been our go to for delicious fresh sushi. Tonight there was a delay with our pick up....it's lent. We get it - they even gave us 2 free sodas to apologize. Then 2 hours later they send us an apology text. Honesty and apologetic. Now that's a classy move!“

“Food is very good. All the fish and everything was super fresh. Got the salmon tataki, beef sashimi, a couple of rolls and the beef sukiyaki. Would definitely recommend the beef sashimi, it's very fresh. The sukiyaki was also a huge portion! Would also recommend the spicy scallop hand roll! The service was really good! The staff is super attentative and kind.“

“My friend and I went here for an early dinner with my nine year old daughter and my friends two year old toddler. We love Asian , especially sushi, so we're always excited to try a new spot. We had never been here before and we were the only people there at 6 pm on a Friday. Take out ?? I dunno. The food was great !! My friend had the link salad and roll, some dumplings and a special roll. I had the avocado salad which was huge and two special rolls !! All was fantastic and service was friendly and speedy !“

“overall i highly recommend this place. you aren’t coming here for the service but that’s ok. the food is always fresh and tasty and super cheap. i recommend both the sushi and hibachi. i also recommend making a reservation because they get really busy sometimes.“

“Food always good. They don't take to substitution much. If you want friend rice instead of white rice it's an upcharge of $3. Overall a Friendly atmosphere and what's great is, it's BYOB.Parking: Several paid parking lots all within 2-5 mins walk“

“Upon arriving to the place there is plenty of parking, which was great! The outside doesn’t do the inside justice, very nicely organized and clean establishment with beautiful inside decor.We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly and took care of us a party of 4.I ordered the yakitori as a starter , it was delicious and tasty, perfectly grilled. It came with a peanut butter sauce which was really good , just not what I personally like so I swapped it for spicy mayo which was also delicious and had a nice kick.I started off with a drink and got an old fashion, it was tasty and strong! Just how I like it!I also had a seaweed salad which was perfectly seasoned.I then ordered two specialty roles the hot night and the ocean king (I swapped the mango for cream cheese).Both rolls were huge and I can say this is the best sushi I have ever had! You can taste the flavors were fresh and so were the ingredients!For dessert we had the vanilla, strawberry and green tea mochis which are all a must try!Will be a returning costumer.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed“

“I've ordered from here quite often. Great sushi! I always get takeout and it's always prepared really fast! The sushi is always fresh. If you want sushi takeout, I highly recommend it. I never dined in so I can't comment on that but for ordering out, I love their prices and their food.“

“I'll start by saying I've only gotten take out from here, never dined in, so I'm not sure of their dining service. They're take out is great though. The food is great. Delivery times are normal. They're also on local delivery services. They're prices are a little bit more than most for Chinese food, but well worth it. When I first moved to this area several years ago I had a really hard time finding a Chinese restaurant I liked. One of the main issues I had was finding a decent egg roll, among other dishes. This place met all my expectations and more.“

“My husband and I went there this weekend for dinner on Friday. The foods was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the portions were quite large (i was able to eat mine the next day for lunch). I got the steak terriyaki bento box and it was so good. Great local spot!“

“I am obsessed with their one particular sushi they make as a special, it’s a sashimi with smoked salmon with melted mozzarella. It is to die for. This place gets packed very fast though, I’ve even waited 10mins before the doors open to get a table and fast service. Because it’s only the wife (owner) that’s serving the tables and her husband Kazu whom is only making the sushi. So the wait gets longer as time goes on. But it’s worth the wait. Everything on their menu is delicious.“

“While it is 5 stars all around, I wish I could give 6 stars for service, the waitress was great, we ordered the clear soup (which was AMAZING), and she counted it as the complimentary soup with my Bento box, which was very nice. My lady relished the fresh and large chicken and shrimp (her signature Hibachi dish), while i salivated over the rare, steakhouse quality portion in the center of my box, accompanied with fresh sushi, dumplings and more. We both took a box home. The place was welcoming, chill and comfortable, and the service, oh, the service... We will be back!“

“This place had excellent food, the service was really great and they offer alcoholic drinks. They have an extensive menu to the bar, plus their food menu. The interior is spacious and they even had some beautiful details on their tableware and the seating. I would return here if I am going for elegant and higher quality dining.“

“I have to say, we ordered in, and it was probably the hottest food I've ever eaten, I give them a lot of credit for making it so well. Probably one of the best chicken udon I've ever eaten, and the miso soup was super super hot. Teriyaki chicken was very good, And they do it really really quickly. Great job.“

“I've been to Metropolitan Cafe many times and each time the overall experience is good. However, I suggest you pay with cash as the service charge free's for credit or debit cards are almost 4% which is pretty heavy. The other thing to know is when ordering cocktails you'll be better off getting straight drinks like scotch on rocks or vodka rocks as the mixed drinks are very light on alcohol. I ordered a Southern Comfort and Sour. The dinking was ice cold sour mix as the liquor was all but not existing. So I had a bad lemon aid for $15 bucks. Needless to say my next drink was Kettle One rocks Even a bad bartender should be able to pour that drink. So if you can get bye watery cocktails and the high service charge it's not bad.“

“Best atmosphere for dinner likes silence, good lighting and great design wall. Udon is the best in NJ. Only taste of shrimp tempura is so harder than other tempura. Don't forget. It means they thawd one slide for a while ago or something happened. It doesn't defrost at the same time. I was big fan for this business, but I disappointed current food.“
