“Went Friday night of Labor Day weekend which was our first time. We did not have reservations but were able to get a table for 3 right away! It was somewhat early which was a good thing because the joint got packed after time! Mario but with a D was our server and did a great job!! The food…Amazing!! Not sure about the reviews that say small portions, I was plenty full when we left! If you’re looking for a ton of cheap food go to Golden Corral!! I had the chicken parm with rigatoni which was excellent! My daughter and wife loved their dinner as well! Great French fries!!! My only complaint was the wood chairs!! Slightly uncomfortable after some time and I was afraid that if I ripped one the picture on the wall may have fallen!! The chair being uncomfortable could be just me due to pulling a hammie in a dance off at Aston Barnaby’s back in the day!! Thanks for the memories!!“

“Great food & service! I got the bow tie pasta and it was incredible and my fiancé got the steak and said it was great. Staff was super friendly, however, there were these older drunk men at the bar (about 5 or 6 of them) and they were being so loud, cursing, and just carrying on and making a huge scene. I literally had to yell at my fiancé who was sitting RIGHT next to me. They ruined the whole vibe and experience. The staff did nothing to quiet them and they were just so freaking obnoxious!!“

“This place is such a VIBE....The food was phenomenal, we had the watermelon salad (oh my lord, the flavor in this was outstanding, so glad I tried it), the lobster gnocchi, and the lobster, shrimp and scallop Fra Diavolo - both excellent dishes! The complimentary bread and olive oil plate that came out before our meals was also exceptional, full of spices and flavor. We booked on Resy and were seated immediately upon arrival. The food came out quickly and the service was excellent as well. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive, and the manager and chef came to our table during our dinner to check in. The additional staff that refilled our water and cleared our plates were also very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale and the view of the marina is spectacular. “Last night was our 1st time there, and I must say, it was OUTSTANDING. We had chicken Parm, 9th street chicken, Veal Milanese, and Linguini w/chicken. All dishes had excellent presentation, very hot and huge! Food was delicious. Atmosphere was a bit tight and loud especially if you want to have a conversation, but overall we really enjoyed it. We will be going back and recommending this restaurant. Going to try the Pizza as that looked great!“

“My family and I had frequented La Fontana (Strathmere) for over 20 years. What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.“

“I ate here for the first time this summer when the first place I tried to go to had a line. I don't care how good the pizza is, I refuse to wait until a dozen or so people are done taking their time eating before I get seated. So I decided to come here and got the last available table without a wait.
Because one of my kids only eats plain, we had to get a plain pizza. It was gigantic. Biggest pizza I've seen before. The paper plates we were given were not quite enough to hold a slice, so we cut the ends off and finished them with the rest. It tasted good despite no toppings, and you can watch them make the pizza if you want.
The way you get your food is different, though. At the other pizza place we went to before, a waitress comes around like at a restaurant. Here, you have to order what you want where you walk in, and then sit down. They bring the pizza to your table, but be sure there's room. Not a big deal, but if you're not used to it, like we weren't, you could spend some time waiting for someone to take your order, and that person won't come. You have to get your own drinks to take with you, so be sure you have your entire order ready to go and pay for after you grab a table.
Between three of us, we couldn't finish the pie we got, so had to take the rest home, and it was fine the next day with a little oven reheating. Just be ready to have almost no room at your table once you get the pizza, as it's huge.“
