“We had dinner at Chef Vola’s on 9/17/25 to celebrate my Birthday. What an excellent dinner and experience. The service is wonderful and our head waiter Anthony is a great guy who provides the best service. The food is beyond comparing it to another restaurant. My wife had the salmon with special sauces that she said was the best she ever had. The bone in veal parmigiana was the best I have ever had by far and there is no comparison. We had the blush pasta which also was outstanding. Our sincere gratitude to the Chef Vola staff for making my birthday extra special.“

“My husband and I happened to read about Vive Bene while looking for a place to go to dinner for a rare date night. I need a place that offers gluten free items and this place popped up. I checked out the online menu (which does vary slightly from their new menu) and was sold! Not one single thing disappointed. Drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert all tasted incredible - dessert made from scratch 😋!! The staff were all incredible, friendly, and attentive. Our server, Bailee, was the best! She was very attentive to my food allergy and fantastic with recommendations, and we felt right at home with her! The water stayed full as did our bellies 😂. The atmosphere was also cozy yet had an elegance to it. 10/10 recommend and we can’t wait to go back to try another meal!“

We had just returned from Italy and were reminiscing with some friends about the food and how it compared to the freshness of the meals at Sunday gravy. But toward the end of the meal you could tell we were being rushed… and then the hostess confirmed that our bill was paid and then actually asked us to leave 😳. Because she had tables waiting. How embarrassing and disappointing. No where on the online reservation did it say we had a time limit.“

The food was delicious — I ordered the cheesesteak with raw onions and a side of French fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The cheesesteak was flavorful and fresh, and the fries were crispy and so good! The service was just as wonderful as the food. My waitress was so sweet, kind, and attentive. The service was fast, made me feel welcome too! The restaurant itself was super cute — beautifully decorated, very clean, and such a pretty atmosphere. “I've now been there three times for lunch. We split a burger and cheese steak on the first visit. Both were excellent. Owner Gus brought out a couple of slices of pizza for us to try. Both were so good, I decided to go for the Eggplant pizza on my second vist. I was there again yesterday with a party of three, a pizza, eggplant parm on a seeded roll, and an amazing chicken cutlet sandwich. Highly recommend for food, service, and friendly staff.“

“My husband and I brought a friend to dinner. Everything was perfect, start to finish. Burrata toast is my favorite appetizer and my favorite entree there is chicken Francaise, both were perfect. My husband had a seafood appetizer which is his favorite and his favorite entree chicken Marsala, he is always pleased with them. Our friend had eggplant parm appetizer and chicken Parmigiana entree and he raved about both. All the servers there are top notch! We've dined there many times and we are never disappointed.“

“Any Chef who can get me to like Risotto, which I normally do not, has a round of applause from me! Tried the Salmon with black herbed risotto, and was not disappointed. I thought I would be adventurous 🤷‍♂️ my favorite salmon dish I ever had. Cooked perfectly! And, I not only tolerated the Risotto, I loved it as well. Service was quick. Atmosphere is 1930's like, which they should really go all in for.“

“I work at Absecon Family Dental and I had to run to the UPS store to return something and I decided to pick up something for myself and my son. Didn't want to cook, I drove around and spotted Napoli Pizza Grill. I walked in and it smelled amazing. I ordered a Sicilian Margherita Pizza. It was the longest 55 minute drive, especially on an empty stomach. I love this gem of a place, it took me back to my hometown NYC. I love this place, they were welcoming and the place is so clean. “Our office is very close to Johnny's and we go quiet often. The owner Johnny is always there and sometimes you will see him walking around the dining rooms checking on things. His wife is also present usually and ensures everyone is having a great time. The food here is amazing and the best Italian on the island. I recommend the Calamari or any of their Veal specials. They also make an amazing Chicken Parm. We love the atmosphere, it is classy but relaxed. Also, they have a DJ there that is out of this world (I believe his name is also Johnny) and our office loves to come when he is there! Fun for all. I would not bring kids here, that is not the vibe at all. They are also open for breakfast, and I think that is one of the best on the island as well. I recommend Johnny's to many of the people interact with on the daily, it will always be my go to spot.“

The food is consistently delicious and the portions quite large. I have to give a shoutout to Sierra & Samantha. I have seen Sierra there more than once doing her thing as a pregnant woman. Rock on!! She still greets with a smile!! I ALWAYS get the chicken cutlet milanese salad while my husband typically gets a pasta but this time he had soup. Barrels is known for their soups. “Last night was our 1st time there, and I must say, it was OUTSTANDING. We had chicken Parm, 9th street chicken, Veal Milanese, and Linguini w/chicken. All dishes had excellent presentation, very hot and huge! Food was delicious. Atmosphere was a bit tight and loud especially if you want to have a conversation, but overall we really enjoyed it. We will be going back and recommending this restaurant. Going to try the Pizza as that looked great!“
