“Love that Olivia's has so many glowing reviews, because she deserves them! It's true - this is the best ice cream I've ever enjoyed. And not just the ice cream, but the chocolate sprinkles are top quality.
You never thought about cheap v. quality chocolate sprinkles before, have you? And right now, I bet you're greatly underestimating how much of an impact can good sprinkles really make to a cone? All the difference, my friend. Like comparing a lightening bug to a lightening bolt.
We are creatures of habit, and haven't ventured beyond the vanilla, or my favorite, the vanilla-chocolate swirl, soft serve with sprinkles, but man oh man, when it's this good, you don't need to reinvent the wheel. That said, after reading these reviews, I am very eager to expand my horizons! The chocolate is superb, you can taste it is distinct from the vanilla, unlike many other soft serve cones, let's be honest.
All this would not be as sweet, however, if the woman who works there wasn't the a lovely, down to earth person, but she truly is.
And clean! This place is immaculate! Peek inside, you'll see what I mean. Just top notch all around. I'm such an Olivia's fan!“

“My brother, sister and I went there for a birthday treat for my sister. The french fries were some of the best I have ever tasted. My brother liked his burger. We all enjoyed our shakes. I got fudge shake vanilla ice cream. Service was prompt and delivered to table.“

This is not your ordinary ice cream shop but please do not let that deter you from trying them out. Just expect to be a bit adventurous and go for it. They are a small batch artisan style shop with many unique flavors to try. We also grabbed 4 pints of other flavors to take home and try. The owner was awesome, explained all of the flavors and offered samples. The inside was very cute with a good amount of seating for an ice cream shop. “Went to Fresh Tiki Bar in Somerville for ice cream and wow, did not disappoint. It’s rich and creamy, you can just tell it’s made with good ingredients, not the cheap stuff. Not overly sweet either, which I loved. The tropical flavors were a fun twist, definitely not your average ice cream shop. Portions were generous too, no complaints there. Staff was super friendly and fast. Great little spot for a hot day, already thinking about my next visit. If you’re around Somerville and want something sweet, this is the move.“

“After many friends telling how good AMA is I decided to grab a pie and meatball parm sub to give them a go. My words will not give their food justice but it is delicious. Napoletan done the right way. Not to mention the owner is beyond good people. Greeted me outside while I was waiting for them to open and then offered me an espresso while my food was being prepared. “The most flavorful hard ice cream! The Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffle? ::chef's kiss:: We mixed it with the cappuccino (great coffee flavor!) and my non-sweet-eating husband ate his half. The kids had a handful of very colorful chocolate dipped waffle cones to choose from and enjoyed their delicious colorbomb on the bench outside. They got the crazy vanilla (because rainbows are fun to eat!) and it was not only pretty but also had a really nice vanilla flavor. We'll definitely be going out of our way for this stop again! Also, special thanks to the counter staff for being extra patient with us.“

“Jason is honestly one of the main reasons going to Rita’s Ice is such a good experience. From the second you walk up, he’s friendly in a way that doesn’t feel forced or fake—he actually seems like he enjoys being there and talking to customers. What really stands out is how helpful he is. If you’re not sure what flavor to get, he’ll give suggestions or let you try samples without making you feel like you’re being annoying. “We recently had my daughter’s soccer team lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I spoke with the manager on duty the evening prior and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Service was amazing as was the food. We sometimes have issues splitting checks because the girls want to sit together away from their parents but they handled it with ease. I’m still dreaming of the delicious ice cream that was the cherry on top of a great experience.“

“What a truly wonderful experience it was coming here. This nice young lady that works there was very polite. There was a bit of traffic building up in there behind me, but she was very patient with me as I surely took quite a while to order a few things for my family members. Everything was clean, and freshly organized. She even made sure to reassure me that the utensils were all cleaned properly because I tend to get a bit skeptical due to the possibility of cross contamination. The ice cream quality was great! Much better than most other places in this area. I never asked for that young lady’s name but she wore a lot of bracelets, and had black nails just like my daughter, which I complemented! I will be back in here for sure!

“Visited Kwality Ice Cream and had a really great experience! The Badshahi Kulfi Falooda was the standout — rich, creamy, refreshing, and full of authentic flavors. The pani puri was also super tasty with crispy puris and a perfect spicy-tangy pani. The paan was fresh and made for a nice finish.

Special mention to Madhuram, the owner, for the warm hospitality and friendly service that made the visit even better.

Tip: ask them to mix Pudina and Khata Meetha pani with a little black salt — it takes the taste to another level! Also, if you prefer better flavor, request room temperature pani instead of very cold :)

“The ice cream and Italian ice taste the same at this location as every other location, which is good. The problem is the selection. I was just at a Ritas in Pennsylvania and they had at least 8 different soft serve ice cream flavors, including cake batter and pistachio among others. This location always only has vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Pistachio is my favorite and I got that when I was in Pennsylvania. I also noticed the other Pennsylvania location had more Italian ice flavors as well.“

I get a double affogato, yet this time I received a cup of melted gelato with 2 cold shots of espresso mixed in. Morale of the story- don’t go if there is a young gentlemen there, or they need to train him because the method was wild. Scoop of gelato with one shot of espresso… proceeds to make another shot of espresso, adds more gelato to the already melted gelato and shot of espresso, and then adds the second shot on top. I received 2 bites of gelato with my cold shots of espresso. For an almost 10$ desert, I am quite disappointed“

This compact ice cream place has a good collection of ice cream flavors and a modest seating space with limited chairs and couple of tables.

The staff are friendly and they also sell celebration cakes. The reason I’m giving this place a star less is because I didn’t find the cream of couple of flavors sweet enough. I tried Pecan butter and Rum and Raisin and wished they hit a sweet spot but they didn’t.

The parking is spacious as it’s attached to the shopping center.“

“The staff member was friendly and patient, especially while I asked questions about some of the menu items.The wait can be a bit long, especially if there's a delivery order(s) and there's only one person there, which is understandable, though.Be advised that the hours listed on their website aren't always updated (found that out the hard way, after checking the website, heading over there, all excited about ice cream -- yes, I need to get out more often lol -- only to find the door locked because they'd closed an hour before and, while the sign next to the door had their updated hours, those same hours weren't on their website ??).The ice and Concrete we bought were a bit on the sweet side so if you or anyone in your group have dietary restrictions, or simply prefer to go light on the sweets/aren't used to very sugary foods, try getting a smaller size (they also have sugar-free options; however, some sugar-free sweets can taste even sweeter than those made with actual sugar/other sweeteners).Their mango ice was quite good, with a very smooth texture (it actually tasted like mango, a very sweet mango, intensified, and the ice itself had a finely-grated texture, not chunky).Their Apple Pie Concrete was also good (custard ice cream with apple pie filling and pie crust pieces mixed in). I'd wanted to try the pumpkin pie one, but they were out of it, sadly.Again, both the ice and the Concrete were quite sweet so heads-up on that. Bought the mango ice for my mother, who's a huge fan of mango, and, while it tasted a lot like mango, she complained that it was too sweet for her taste (and she doesn't like custard/things that smell of eggs so I couldn't get her an ice and custard ice cream mix, to temper the ice's sweetness with the dairy from the ice cream, which was also quite sweet).If you've never had custard-style ice cream, it's basically a thicker/more dense version of ice cream, not as watered down, and is made with eggs (so, if you distinguish a bit of an egg-y smell, that's why).I look forward to trying some of their other flavors/varieties/toppings, but will definitely try a smaller size next time. Thankfully, they also offer a baby size (though not in the Concrete), which is also good because, as another reviewer mentioned, they can be pricey.Be aware that they melt *very* quickly. Both the Concrete and the mango ice started to drip on my way to the car and it wasn't even that hot outside (plus, it was nighttime). Part of the issue was that the ice/custard had gone onto the rim of the cups/lids, before (or as?) the plastic cover was put on, so it melted off the rims and onto the cardboard cupholder and, then, onto my hand. That part wasn't as pleasant.As someone else also mentioned, some of the ice creams have an open top lid and that ought to be re-thought, especially while still in the midst of a pandemic. Closed packaging is easier to disinfect. I'm already exercising the good will/faith to purchase something not made at home (and that can't be heated up, either) so it'd help to make the packaging a bit more sealed (perhaps, use taller cups that can handle the overflow that the raised plastic lids allow for right now and then have a sealed plastic lid, without any openings). The ice's lid was a raised, solid/sealed one; however, the Concrete's lid had the raised/domed, open top-type of lid (even though the spoon they serve it with isn't the one used to mix it, as at other places so it doesn't seem necessary to have it be open at the top). It'd also help if the spoons were individually wrapped.I hope they take these things into consideration because I'd like to go back and try some of their other flavors.“
