“Scoop to My Lou is the genuine depiction of your friendly neighborhood ice cream shop. It was truly such an amazing ending to my partner and I’s lunch date in East Brunswick! When we walked in I couldn’t resist to poke around at all the ice cream flavors in their display cases as well as other fun goodies they had in their to go fridges like ice cream pints, ice cream pies, and ice cream cookies! You can’t help but feel like a little kid all giddy deciding what flavor you want! Worker Chelsea greeted us with the sweetest smile and the most amazing customer service by giving us an ample amount of suggestions and samples of the flavors they have. “I'm lactose intolerant...This place is worth the stomachache. Their Hershey ice cream is to die for. They serve sundaes and cakes and an apple pie cake? Both were rich and creamy, and were a delicious treat. While the Viking Vanilla was more of your typical vanilla ice cream, the Strawberry Fields really stood out as high quality as it contained pieces of actual strawberry inside...probably the best strawberry ice cream in the area. Although it's cash only, the prices are reasonable with generous portions, with a kids or regular size more than ample size to satisfy any sweet tooth craving. I'm happy to support small businesses like Gil & Bert's, and recommend them to others.“

“We just found this place a week ago my son comes into the store to purchase our low-fat or sugar-free yogurt. He was skeptical at first because it's hard to find a good yogurt place since we used to a place in Brooklyn New York that was fabulous. The owner helped my son with the various products that were either low sugar no sugar or low fat. We both must say that the peanut butter we consistently get was absolutely delicious we were very impressed with the quality and the taste. I know it seems a little pricey but with the cost of everything today it doesn't seem out of place and with the quality it's worth it my son signed up to get the rewards because we're going to be coming to this place very frequently“

“Cozy shop with really cute aesthetics. They do soft serve on tea and have ice cream! The teas are reasonably priced. The matcha was very good. Toppings choices aren't as numerous as other places but that's ok because they have ice cream.Parking: It's a little tight since it's the strip malls part of Edison. There's a light to make a left out of it so it's not very hard to get out. Just not very many spots. Unknown if there's parking in the rear“

“This was my first time having a mochinut and it was absolutely delightful!!! Their taro mochinut has been my favorite flavor so far. The texture is sooo good. It's both chewy like mochi and doughy like a donut, the perfect mixture of both! Not too heavy and not too sweet. And their variety of flavors is amazing and unique! I can't wait to go back and have some more. I can tell the staff there work hard to pump out all these donuts and with such quality too! Please keep doing what you're doing!“

“Super good! Me and my siblings went during the night a few weeks back when it was really nice out and the place was packed!!! The workers were super attentive and very apologetic about the wait time (which we understood since it was INSANE) the ice cream was absolutely delicious. I got the baileys flavor and was blown away by it! I will be coming back as much as my bank account and doctor will allow ? “I've been in here a twice since they opened and this place is great. They have a wide selection of bubble tea options as well as ice cream (rolled) and other snacks. The first time I came, I got the lychee slushie with tapioca boba, which was really good. Next I got the chocolate chip rolled ice cream with m&m's, which was pretty good too. The owner is very friendly and actually remembered me when I came in the second time (maybe a month in between visits). They have a loyalty punch card for ice cream and drinks and several games in their retro seating area. There are some old school games and a little plastic axe throwing area which would be fun for kids. If you're looking for a yummy treat, give this place a try. It's their second location and the owner is very friendly, serving up tasty treats.“

The combo was the most effective way to order a little bit of everything since the jars included cake and ice cream and you can add a milk tea for just $1. “Best soft serve I have ever had!!! Honestly... I can't say enough good things about this place. To say I was pleasantly surprised I'd an understatement. I got a soft serve swirl with cookie dough bites and it was delicious. The ice cream is perfectly creamy, and the vanilla had an almost marshmallow-y taste to it. It also sort of reminded me of the cream inside an Oreo. Perfectly balanced between creamy and cold- it didn't taste watered down or too "Icy". My mom and my 16 month old also agreed. (Ok, my mom agreed. My son was a fan but he doesn't quite understand just how good it was yet.) My son didn't finish his, so we brought it back with us to upstate NY. Yes, it was good enough to save in the freezer at our hotel and then to shlep back home so I could enjoy one more time. And also so my husband could try it since I couldn't stop raving about it. Also worth noting- I'm very impressed at their variety. They have lots of soft serve and hard ice cream flavors. I hope I have another work trip that brings me back, cause I will be dreaming of this ice cream until then!“

“I messed up and never finished booking with them for the preschool that I run. I didn't realize until day of, and thought I was going to have over 100 disappointed children and 30 disappointed teachers. Rasheedah allowed me to book day of and showed up on less than 3 hours notice! She saved the day! Everyone was happy with their yummy ice cream treats! Thank you so much Rasheedah! “The doughnados here are 5 stars! I love the cake batter cookie dough here! I’m a chocolate lover, but the vanilla custard here is so delicious! One thing disappointing is today I ordered the absolutely delicious birthday cake doughnado which I always order, and the girl gave me the tiniest scoop of cookie dough! I also had the twister here with chocolate custard and peanut butter cookie dough cream ice. It was good, but not nearly as good as the doughnado. The peanut butter cookie dough cream ice was good, but not great. I’ll try another cream ice flavor next time. I recommend Ralph’s Italian Ices in Spotswood!“

“Never one to leave a review but I felt this was necessary. My mother is unfortunately not doing well with her battle with stage 3 cancer. Right now, it’s the little things that mean the world to her and for right now, it seems to be the same for me as well. Tonight my mother was craving one of her favorites, Rita’s! When I got to the window and gave my order to the woman working (large vanilla custard with chocolate sprinkles and a cone on the side) she asked me very politely, if the order was for me? I replied saying no, it was for my mother. She then asked me if I was sure I didn’t want anything and even though it was very hard to say no “on a diet” I did and told her nope, just the custard! She proceeded to put 2 cones and 2 spoons in the bag, packed it so nicely and then told me that I am a good son and that my mom is lucky to have me. I don’t need any recognition for what I do for my mom, but let me tell you when you are at your lowest and a complete stranger shows genuine kindness and compassion it hits different! “I highly recommend Magliones Italian ice (makers of Little Jimmys) to any who want to start an Italian Ice business! Before we formed our own company (Sea Breeze Italian Ice), we were selling Little Jimmys, under their name and logo. We still use their ice to this day, and will continue to do so, as long as we starve Ice! They make the best Italian ice in the entire industry, and everyone living here in ** who grew up in the ** area, knows that name!“

“I’m giving 5 stars although I did not like what I saw tonight. I was in line with my kids and this man with his wife and kid were at a window. The man was yelling at the employee and from the beginning he had a very nasty attitude. Even if something was wrong he had no right to scream at this young girl who was trying to help him. Never in the years i’ve come to this rita’s have I seen someone act this way especially with the amazing workers they have. Props to the other girls inside who tried to laugh it off.“

“This is a cite place. Didn't know about it. You can be served inside or out. There is a decent size seating area to eat. They have a great selection of ice cream and toppings. I'm usually a sprinkle guy but decided to try the cotton candy and simple soft serve vanilla. It was really good. I do plan on going back for the hard serve ice cream, seeing as there are flavors there I have not seen and would like to try.“

The ice cream itself tastes like it's bought from a supplier - not made in house, so it doesn't taste special. What you see is what you get here; there aren't any hidden gems, but if you're looking for ice cream in the area, this will do. I rated it slightly higher because as of the time of this post the prices are reasonable. Tip: some years they close shop during the colder seasons.“

“I ordered a custom sheet cake for my daughter’s birthday and the store did a great job. We had a design and swapped one of the flavors out from their originals. The additional costs were very reasonable and the cake looked great! We live a bit far so I couldn’t come in person to order it but was able to communicate with the owner via email and phone.
