“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! Lol….authentic Jamaican food is definitely a big plus for this location. They give you many options aside from their famous rice and peas with a side of chicken. They also have a variety of soups on their menu. Their prices are very fair and for that reason I will definitely be back, and this time for some good ol’ oxtails! “They hooked me up! Delicious food; good portions. I usually get oxtail from Jamaican restaurants. I'd say it's one of the top of the restaurants I've eaten from.

That said, oxtail is generally an expensive meat to buy and can be hard to cook right. So, it can be difficult to find places like this that give you a decent amount. And I've orderd from them a few times, so I can say their potion size is generally consistent from what I've seen.“

“I have been going to Alice’s for about 5 years now. I am so happy with the food especially the stew peas jerk chicken curry goat and oxtails. Even when I was trying to lay off the rice for a bit they would try to accommodate me if they had extra food (yam etc) left over from breakfast to substitute for the rice. Whenever I have visitors I get them food from there. Even persons from Jamaica love his food especially the Jerk chicken. The owners are very kind. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed. Oh and a nice surprise is that he uses oxtails in his stew peas meal 😬“

This is a hole in the wall spot! Our food was DELICIOUS! I will 100% be ordering again but a LARGE chicken soup. The soup had so much flavor and the chicken just slipped off the bone! The mac also had so much flavor and was so good! The jerk chicken was a bit spicy for me but I don’t have a high tolerance to spice. My partner said it was good! He couldn’t decide what part was his favorite and said he would go back again! The service was great! Next time you get gas, help yourself to some hearty, home cooked Jamaican food!!“

“I have been eating here for a little under a year and the food has never disappointed me favorite is the curry, goat, rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. However, I have tried the fried chicken red pea soup , jerk, chicken, oxtails, curry chicken, beef patty. Regardless, what you pick you’re gonna find chunks of ginger in it, so be careful as you eat some meals are spicier than others, but all are very flavorful in my opinion. I am hoping in the future to try the salmon option when they have a fish fry in the summer. I personally do not like any Jamaican restaurants, macaroni, and cheese, so I have not tried their version at all, nor have I tried the typical African-American sides like collard greens, candied yams, and so forth. I stick to the typical jamaican options for sides. I see signs for roti too never tried that yet . Rank the atmosphere three out of five because the neighborhood is a bit rough know in the area so be mindful of limitations on parking and people randomly standing on the side walk.“

“This place has in this town for 28 years, there is a reason why they have been around so long. The owner is this wonderful sweet lady that, she is definitely Jamaican be a those Pattie’s hit different. The oxtails are succulent and falls off the bones, the plantain’s are sweet and crispy on the edges. If you’re looking for delicious Jamaica food go here, always call before you go because she starts cooking in the morning and at times the food isn’t ready until after 12pm but it’s very much worth the wait. ????The prices are very reasonable but those Pattie’s are to die for.“

“Not the older women but that lady at the counter needs to be fired. Her attitude , her appearance is sooo gross that as much as I like the food it makes me spend less money in this establishment. Asking for any more sauces, chicken , utensil can send her off the deep end and because she’s is dealing with your food you are forced to play nice. The first time I figured she was having a bad day or her husband left her for that bad attitude which I can understand but it’s every SINGLE time.
