“We had dinner at Fire & Oak in Montvale last night, and I have to give a special shoutout to our server, Michelle. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've had in a long time. There were a couple of hiccups with my filet mignon—it was first served with au poivre sauce by mistake, and when it came back, it was very rare even though I had ordered it medium. Michelle immediately apologized, took care of everything with such professionalism, and made sure the kitchen corrected it. None of it was her fault, but she handled the situation with genuine concern. The restaurant also removed the steak from our check, which was a very thoughtful gesture and completely unexpected. That level of customer service was truly appreciated. Despite the issues with my steak, Michelle made the entire experience a positive one. We always enjoy our meals at Fire & Oak, and this visit was another reminder of why we keep coming back. We'll definitely be back again soon!“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. For mains it was Beef and Ginger and Prawn Fried Rice, again both excellent. So for 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 drinks it came to 58 euros, even excellenter ?…music choice was a bit different in that it was dance oriented but wasn’t out of place. “On December 12th my law office had their holiday luncheon at this wonderful restaurant. I also ordered a tray of meat lasagna for Christmas. If you have never had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant, I suggest you run - do not pass go - and get your butt there and eat the most delicous food on this planet. The chef created the meat lasagna - a simple dish - and elevated to something that just melts in your mouth with deliciousness. LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant!!“

Throughout the years I have had many events and parties here including my businesses annual Christmas party. A lot of places you do not get to meet the owner of the family business. Evan and Victor are always checking up on guests, on the floor, delivering food, chatting it up, and being a part of the dining experience.“

My wife and I went back for the 3rd or 4th time last night and we had such a lovely time. The drinks came out so quickly and the hostess was very sweet and gave us a very personal compliment.
I did the pasta w filet and my wife had the ny strip. We did crab cocktails and blue point oysters. Martinis, old fashioned’s, gelato and sorbet finished off with espresso martinis. No complaints. The staff handled the busy Saturday evening w no issues. Will return again and its great for groups.“
