“I liked making my reservation online. The hostess brought us to the booth I had requested. The re-vamped large room is cozy. The lighting is a little too low though. I had to use my phone light to read the menu. Our server was challenged with the 6 tables he was serving. So, the service was not as good as usual. I had 4 of the largest shrimp in my shrimp cocktail. I thought the presentation was a bit odd though. The extra large, round bowl full of ice, seemed like a big waste of ice. The smaller loaf of bread was very tasty. The steak house salad came in a new elongated bowl, which worked well. My petite steak looked lonely on the big plate. I don't know why my friend had his large baked potato served on a small square bread plate. It was hard for him to eat. The food was good. It's too bad the prices have risen like everywhere else.“

“What can I say. Have been a customer for many years nothing has changed but the year and date. Still the same Steak goodness Wedge Salads and French Onion Soup. Service is so on the money nothing less than perfect. The ambience is unique and original giving the feel of an old time classic place.“

“The place is a vibe and I thought the drinks were excellent. The food was a bit of a hit & miss. The wedge salad had thick dressing just dumped on top like an afterthought, and you had to cut your own salad. The French onion soup was a small beef broth with a side of a grilled cheese & onion sandwich. I thought both of these “deconstructed” appetizers missed the mark. The Essex roll was great, as was the burger. Crudo was fresh and delicious. The hanger steak was good, and avocado lox toast was okay. Kids items arrived quickly and were generously portioned. Our server was nice, but seemed new. Served the yogurt parfait without a spoon. Shortly after, the soup arrived, again without a spoon. Didn't think the kitchen could make an omelet instead of scrambled eggs (as part of the eggs and toast). Got one of the items wrong, but didn't offer to remove it until we asked. I had different expectations for service, but it didn't ruin our time. Overall, I'd return. Next time, I'd come for the drinks and sushi.“

“My visit to Outback on Rt.46 in Parsippany New Jersey was one of the most pleasant experiences of my entire trip. My waiter's name was Lucas. He was friendly, professional, helpful, efficient, polite, patient, mannerable and had great expertise about service and was knowledgeable about great foods listed on the menu.. He treated me with such dignity that I felt special actually I felt regal. He is an asset to Outbank Steakhouse. Thank you Lucas, I will be referring relatives to your restaurant. I had traveled for 7 hours to New Jersey to attend a funeral. This type of service made a sad heart glad It was a healing experience.“

“We went for Happy Hour and tried 4 appetizers. The beef empanadas were a good size, filled with beef and veggies. Was delicious. Come 4 in an order. Also tried the Yuka cheese sticks and I loved them. Soft and go great with the creamy side sauce. The jerk shrimp was also delicious with the warm bread it brings. Wings were good but a bit spicy for me since currently I cant eat anything spicy. Overall was a great meal and our waitress Brianna was very attentive. Will definitely be back.“

“My frist time there all was good, but this time just Wow. The steak was very under cooked and very over seasoned. The amount of peper was enough for 4 steaks. The service was rushed. Got dinner before we finished the appetizers. The dessert tasted old. Not sure if I will give it another try ! Sad because the frist time I was amazed.Well tried it again and food and service was very good. Will try again and update it . Maybe last time just had wrong cook and serve“

“I went with my daughter on Sept. 9th to celebrate my birthday and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great, the staff was friendly and the guests that sat with us were so sweet and friendly. We had lots of laughs during dinner. Thank you again to my princess for making my birthday so special.“

“An unforgettable dining experience! I'm a regular at Black Bull for their steak, but this time I ventured to try the halibut from their specials menu, and I'm thrilled I did! It was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The pistachio goat cheese was a standout, simply exceptional.“

“Good steaks and sides, at decent prices, but the service was very slow in a not-full restaurant. Took nearly 40 minutes for the waiter to take our order and another hour or so for the food to come out. Waiter also disappeared and did not check on food after it came out/check on us much at all until we got checks.“

“Took my sister, a steak lover, to Rare for her birthday! Did not dissapoint! My husband started with the French onion soup which he said was amazing. My sister and I had crab cake appetizer - one of the best I have ever had. Hubs and I split porterhouse which was delicious. Her man, not a huge steak fan, got a filet mignon and practically licked the plate. Sis had the cowboy steak and noted it was cooked to perfection. She said thanked us for the “best steak” she has ever had“

“Had dinner with a friend before a show at MPAC and had a great time enjoying our split appetizer and cocktails. Dinner of scallops and salmon were cooked expertly and tasted great. Wine with dinner added a lot to the meal. However I lost track of time and needed to get the attention of staff to pay the bill and get to the show on time. The attentiveness was perfect, the bill was paid in minutes- I was super impressed.“

“Best service from beginning to end food was great my best Mother’s Day dinner. Appetizers in time steaks just hit the spot and sides broccoli was my very favorite. Felt like a queen. At some point there was a very rude customer demanding for food screaming at staff went in the kitchen cursing. I understand people have no manners. My table was on the other side off the dining room and I was able too hear him screaming.“

“I usually come to the Franklin Steakhouse & Tavern on Sunday's during the football season. They have a long bar, plenty of TVs, a huge drink menu with beer on tap and weekend specials. This time I came for lunch. I ordered the ribeye sliders ($10.99). It came with three sliders. a festival of French fries and a cup of horseradish. I like my steak medium rare. I do not like steak that I have to fight with because it is too chewy. I like the steak to come out hot. This ribeye was to my liking in all those criteria. The French fries also came out hot and were thick enough to taste the potato. The horseradish could have been less creamy. Add a little more ribeye and this would have been a 5 Star. Service was quick and professional, but it was only about 3 pm. The restaurant is clean with basic simple furniture and chairs. Take a look at my photos. Prices are reasonable and for certain items on the menu, cheap.“

“We celebrated a birthday dinner and everything was great. What put our dining experience over the top was our server, Nick T. He made recommendations for an appetizer and entrees that were delicious and nicely prepared. He was attentive and efficient and delivered us service with a smile. It’s hard to find great service these days, and Nick T was TOP NOTCH! Restaurants need more servers like him. Thank you for making our dining experience so enjoyable!“
