From coordinating calls, decorating our table, marrying us, to keeping us on schedule. Andre had our whole group raving about how great the food was. From the appetizers to the cake, we really couldn't have asked for better. On top of it all, the location is STUNNING! The staff helping to serve us were so friendly and pleasant and together they all helped make sure our wedding day was the best day of our life. “We celebrated a milestone birthday in the dining area next to the terrace with delicious food and great service. The bar had a large selection of beer, wine had a dozen options, plus mixed drinks. The staff let me taste a couple beers before I chose one to go with my calamari appetizer which was very large and well prepared. I do think the standout appetizer was the tuna which had an amazing citrus flavor. For my main I had the sea bass while most of the others had streaks. I thought it was delicious and the rice delicious. Maybe a tad too much butter for me, but no complaints. I skipped desert but the chocolate cake and apple tarts looked amazing. Service was top notch, my water glass was consistently filled and the staff present but not too much so. A great late afternoon dining experience.“

“To be fair, my rating is over 4. It's more like a 4.6 since 1 of us 6 mentioned a slight negative about the flavor of her chicken. And our per person cost was about $50. I expected that, but that's okay. The sights outside were very nice. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves which is a plus. If you have a boat, you can actually dock it at the Windlass and order a meal. They also have several cabana looking coverings along the dock which can be reserved so you can enjoy your meal there. My wife noticed that the seating can glide forward and back.“

I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a crumb cake, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was easily one of the top five breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had… perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The crumb cake was the ideal sweet follow-up, soft and not overly sugary.

The guys working there were really nice and welcoming, giving off that genuine small-town friendliness. Service was quick, casual, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

“We have eaten there several times and it is always delicious. We want to give special appreciation to Rachel, your manager, for her special caring and sensitivity to our needs. In today's world, where one struggles, especially if old like we are, to speak to a live human being, when you are able to converse with a person who is actually listening to what you said, this is rare. Add to that delicious fresh food and you have a winner. Tonight we had fresh large shrimps with a most delicious home made cocktail sauce. Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow. We live in town, and are happy to see the names of so many out of town visitors appreciate Chesapeake Tavern.“

“Just used cafe Pierrot to cater a sprinkle I was hosting. Everything was amazing! Placing the order was extremely easy- I sent an email and someone called me right away and quickly responded to any email questions I had. Everyone enjoyed the food and LOVED the cupcakes. Was able to pay in advance online so all I had to do was send someone for pick up the day of the party and everything was ready right away I think food is one of the hardest parts of planning a party. Never know what to get or how much. Being able to simply give them a number of guests and all I had to do was decide which type of salad I wanted, made this part of the party so simple and stress free! Love the one stop shopping aspect where I could get my food, sides, and even cupcakes all from one place. The spread they provide is the perfect mix and they provide the perfect amount, for an awesome price! Definitely recommend using them!!!“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. “Great little pub with delicious food and attentive servers!!! We came here because we were attending the Panther Valley Prowl car show and hadn't eaten. They have outside seating so after a little bit of a wait we were seated. STRONGLY suggest reservations as it is busy on weekends!!!! Full bar has everything you'd like to drink and really good appetizers to share. Nachos were really good and we asked for shredded chicken in addition to regular stuff. Really delish!!!. Guys loved the French dip and burgers. Grilled chicken Ceasar salad is so good!!!
We love this place although its a bit of a drive for us and car show season is over we will still get here for dinner.

“I invited my friends for lunch the other day and we had a fantastic time! Talk about atmosphere, Alice’s Restaurant sits high up on a hill, overlooking Lake Hopatcong. What a view on a gorgeous day! We had our starters and drinks which everyody loved. Dante was our server and he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is exactly what we wanted. An added topping, extra sauce, rare, medium, it’s going to come out perfectly. We are looking forward to coming back!“

“We had a 50 person party yesterday I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet they put out for us and I have to give a HUGE shout out to Matt (I’m pretty sure that was his name. Big smile and his hair in a bun). He was the wait staff taking care of all of us and he killed it! Super pleasant and he worked his butt off to serve us all. If you get Matt, take good care of him!!!!“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

We were nervous about how the food would be but my husband and I were shocked by how delicious it was and the guests kept complimenting it was as well. The restaurant is family run and the owners did everything to make sure it was a hit. From initial emails, phone calls, questions, and menu selection they went above and beyond. I can’t stress enough how each bite of food we had was better than the last. They out did themselves on taste, presentation, professionalism, and courtesy. They did not disappoint. The general manager, Alexis was a pleasure to work with, and was helpful with menu choices, and whatever additional asks I had. (A table area for a display, AV hook-up for a slide presentation, and complimentary drink “coupons” for my guests. The entire staff (including the kitchen) was friendly, and determined to make this a fun (and delicious) event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I give them 5 stars 🌟 out of 5.“

My husband had one of their zero proof cocktails called A touch of the blues he liked it very much! We had their calamari appetizer which featured fried lemon slices and lemon curd it was a 10 out of 10 would definitely order that again! I had the Mediterranean Steak Bowl which was incredible to say the least perfect portions, all the flavors complimented each other. My husband opted for the tarragon cod entree he liked it and is looking forward to trying other dishes on their menu. We had a very nice conversation with both the general manager and the owner.
