“I’m in the area for just one night and needed to figure out where I could get a quick dinner. I saw Sophie’s Bistro and after getting a recommendation from a colleague, I made a reservation. It’s a really casual place; not pretentious in any way, but the bartender was both talented and conversational and made something off menu to enjoy. For dinner, I decided on French Onion Soup and Steak Frites and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Besides this, the bread service they bake in house is amazing and I learned about the owner and how he treats his people and that made me even happier that I came in. I wish we had a place like this where I live; I would be there all the time. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but next time I’m near Somerset, I know where I’ll do dinner. I’ve been living in the area for about 15 years now and just randomly tried this place one day, and let me just say it not only exceeded my expectations but blew them out of the park. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is nothing short of simply the best. I would highkey recommend trying their freshly house made pizzas, they’re finger licking good as well as their pastas which are chefs kisses. I’m genuinely amazed at how not many people know about this restaurant. The owner is the sweetest woman I’ve ever met, we talked for 15 minutes just about her business it was 2 minutes before they closed and she offered me all of the left over pizza they hadn’t sold that day FOR FREE. I’ve found my new favorite go to Italian spot.“
