“We passed by this restaurant last week on our way to Irish Rep Theater and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful find! It is a charming restaurant with an attractive open kitchen and nice counter to watch the action. Tables are well spaced and comfortable. From the moment we sat down our server, Milos, could not have been more hospitable. He knew the menu well and was helpful with suggestions on both food and wines. He was professional and efficient and welcoming. The food was outstanding. They have a happy hour with delicious oysters and a nice variety of spreads and other small plates. A meal could easily be made at happy hour. The food was beautifully plated and delicious and of note the sauteed shrimp were perfectly cooked. There is much more on the menu we would like to try. We will be returning with a larger party next time to share many delicious plates. A wonderful addition to our NYC favorite spots.“

“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“Cute spot for an intimate dinner or sitting at the bar. I had bread with arahova feta butter, which was good. For the main, I had the cavatelli with pesto, which had nice strong notes of basil. My husband had the tagliolini al Amalfi limone, which had bright notes of lemon balanced with saltiness from the cheese. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate mousse, which was delicious — rich, not too sweet, and ample portion for sharing. The cocktails are also good.

“If you’re in DUMBO, Brooklyn, you have to visit Meatup! The food was absolutely amazing — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of rich flavor. You can really tell they care about quality.

The atmosphere was cozy but modern, and the location in DUMBO makes it even better — such a nice area to walk around before or after your meal. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

“After a cold and windy morning, not being able to get into one of the morning shows, we ran across this little restaurant by accident for brunch. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! “Had dinner here on a Friday well before closing. Upon arrival we noticed the restaurant was not terribly busy which was a plus figuring service would be faster boy were we wrong.

The server took our order and did not return once, a different server brought out our food. We have to flag a person down to get the check and observed our served just sitting at the bar or smoking, we waited for about half an hour. It really felt like we were bothering our server.

The food was wonderful though. I would give it one more chance.“
