“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“A lovely small place in west village.

The octopus from the appetizers was quite a good portion and was cooked perfectly.
The beet salad was a no for me. I felt like it was cut too small and a bit overdressed, so I couldn’t really taste it.

They also have a good wine selection, so I may come again for that octopus and another glass.“

“After a cold and windy morning, not being able to get into one of the morning shows, we ran across this little restaurant by accident for brunch. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! The day couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to try one of his delicious Italian recipes this holiday season. I highly recommend the Little Owl. I certainly will be going back in the future!“

“We ended up at this shop almost by accident because my wife doesn’t use TripAdvisor—she uses NoseAdvisor, which may be the best advisor of all!

We had no idea what to expect. We live in France, so we’re used to those triangular-shaped pastries filled with spinach or whatever, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover this place.

The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The young woman who served us was brand new, so she was understandably a little inexperienced, but everyone was very nice.

I did read some reviews mentioning that the line can be extremely disorganized and slow—and that is definitely true! We were getting increasingly impatient because we were very hungry. But there’s a reason it takes time: they prepare all the accompaniments—the eggs, pickles, spices, and various other side dishes—freshly.

And in the end, the food was extremely good. We really loved it and thought we had made a great discovery. I even asked family members who live in Manhattan about the place, and they all knew it and confirmed that the food is excellent.

So, be prepared for a somewhat chaotic line and a long wait. But sometimes it’s worth waiting for a good thing. We would definitely come back!“

That might actually be where the citrus is from. However, the hummus is not overly salty! You can actually taste the Chickpeas and they use good ingredients as well as olive oil for the hummus too! The chicken? Is in NO way shape or form dry and it's actually seasoned! It's juicy and normal is it overcooked. The olives? Brothers and sisters I HATE olives by themselves, rarely on certain foods. But these olives are not overpowering and stealing the flavor profile, it just adds more depth to the flavor bomb of the Greek chicken Pita! The feta? What could be bettah? Seriously though if you can see this picture you should've seen that they don't skip on the feta either. Again the flavor is ALL the way there but not overpowering. While the texture is almost creamy. Probably with assistance from the sauce but still, it's not overly dry! 10/10 Would recommend & I will be back! Now the facility was spotless, the cleanest "fast food" I've ever seen. The staff? Phenomenonal, personable, kind, attentive to details, and downright superstars that make that place run like clockwork! Wooooo wo weeeee wo!!! If you haven't been here then you've got to go!! I went there for dinner Friday night, with my friends to celebrate my birthday - everyone working there made such an effort. I really appreciated the birthday dessert and candle.

“I went there with my boyfriend and his father during a trip in NYC and we weren’t disappointed. My boyfriend had the kofta kobab which had a very meaty texture. His father had the wild mushroom kobab and I took the braised "beef". Everything was delicious, including the dessert (ekmek kataifi) which wasn’t too sweet, just perfect 😊“

“This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites! Not only is the food so flavorful and delicious the staff and service is also so wonderful. And when I say the food is delicious I mean literally everything! There is not one thing I wouldn’t recommend. They never disappoint. Even the atmosphere and seating is just so beautiful. The prices are also unbelievably affordable for such good food! This is a restaurant I would recommend to anyone even if they didn’t like Mediterranean food because they have something for everyone and nothing is neglected. “Okay people one dish i had was so good first time trying fried liver, 😵 and let me tell you it was so good 👍 very happy the waiter told me to try it. And I recommend everyone to try it.
I also had lamb dish that was very fresh and tasty 😋 along with Turkish beer 🍺 sitting in the back for the skyline view makes for great dinning experience.
