“China Garden is definitely one of the best spots around if you’re looking for affordable and delicious Chinese takeout. The food is consistently good — flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. When you pick up your order directly, the prices are very reasonable. I spent about $18 for two full meals, which is a great deal considering the portion sizes.

Just a heads up: if you order through Uber Eats or other delivery apps, the total can get pretty pricey with fees and markups. So if you want to keep it affordable, picking up is definitely the way to go.

Loved learning about their deep roots, from the original 1971 restaurant in Venezuela to this NJ location. A must-try!“

“I just discovered this location and I've been eating from here everyday ever since. Today I made my order online like I always do and 30 mins later went to get my order, I was told it's not there and I overheard them saying the order was prepared and it seems someone grabbed the order. Now the previous times I went to get my order I was asked the last 4 digits of my phone number, so why did they hand my order over to someone else this time without asking for the last 4 digits of the phone number is very questionable... Anyways other than that, the food was great as always.“

Wow! Firstly, very lovely first impression walking in and being seated. I am a big fan of the robin-egg colored tableware and the Miniso Dundun chicken timers lol. The place felt very clean and fresh, upon arriving.

Food:
The broth was extremely rich and flavorful! Genuinely tasted like it was prepared for a long time (10 hours) just like they advertise! It tasted very savory and it pairs well with the chicken and the other sides! The fish maw white fungus, chinese yam, pumpkin, and hand pulled noodles were all very fresh and high quality. I personally loved how chewy the noodles were after cooking it!

Our order was 2 servings it felt like a reasonable price. Definitely satisfied with the portion size given that we felt pretty full afterwards.

Service felt very welcoming and friendly.

U can add on toppings and it comes with rice! We enjoyed it so much we are already planning our next late night visit and plan to take the fam here!“

“I ordered from this Chinese restaurant for the very first time to celebrate the grand opening of my nail salon, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! We got Yang Chow Fried Rice, General Tso’s Chicken, Shrimp with Garlic Sauce, Chow Fun, and the Orange Chicken Combo.

Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was light and tasty, the General Tso’s Chicken had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with a crispy bite, and the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce was packed with flavor and came with fresh, juicy shrimp. The Chow Fun had a great texture and was very satisfying. But the star of the night was the Orange Chicken Combo—crispy, sweet, and absolutely delicious. All of our guests loved it, and several even asked where we ordered from!

“A small takeout Chinese eatery with a fairly standard menu selection bearing high average prices. Hong Kong Express serves americanized Chinese fare. Set in a small strip mall, there seems to be adequate parking. Upon entering, the first impression is clean. Featuring newer furnishings, decor and construction. As a child took my order and payment, this is clearly a family business.
So I've only had one dish at this place. I can say for freshness of ingredients, it's excellent. For amount of meat added, average. Unfortunately my dish was extremely bland. I had to add 7 packets of various sauce and that was still not enough. As I make this dish at home, the main sauce is soy. I wish I had grabbed more.
Speaking of sauce, no sauce, forks, chopsticks or napkins were added or offered. I'm glad I checked and added on my own.
This business succeeds in 2 major ways most other Chinese places don't (freshness and cleanliness). I hope I just caught an off dish. I'd return, but until I had a better dish, I wouldn't recommend.“
