“Sushi & Kimchi has become my new favorite comfy, cozy, and cute hideaway in Rockland for when I want the best tasting and authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine. Gina (owner) and Julie (waitress) are both absolutely lovely! Both Gina and the restaurant remind me of what I recall to have been the first Korean/Japanese sushi house in Bardonia, NY that I grew up up dining at in the early 2000’s and up until I moved out of state in 2008. Unfortunately, that location is no longer in business, but Sushi & Kimchi definitely gives all the nostalgic feels! The foos is always fresh and absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the service is always on point, and you’re welcomed each time with a warm welcome from everyone! It’s a little hidden gem in a parking lot off of Route 59 in Nyack that winds down in the late afternoon and is calm in the evening. The perfect place to go for an overall relaxing experience that will have you leaving full after having enjoyed every last bite! I’ve also ordered through DoorDash and the presentation, temperature, taste and overall quality were all solid as well. Thoroughly impressed!

“I stopped by for a late lunch take out and I was pleasantly surprised.
First, the interior while not large is cozy and very inviting, complete with nice Japanese wall art, and even a stove heater in one section with many Japanese ceramics like tea pots on display.
I ordered a Chicken teriyaki lunch box (bento) - (Entree, $14.50, 4/5) - I was happy with the heft of the bag and upon opening it, food was hot and fresh. California rolls were good and 2 pieces of shumai were crispy and nicely seasoned. Rice was the right portion and chicken was fresh-tasting with good quantity of teriyaki veggies. Some pieces were a bit tough and the seasoning overall did not really permeate, but I didn't mind. I mean, it's lunch special so you can't really expect too much. I was nicely satisfied with this bento - not too much, not too little, and at a great price.

I used to do yoga right next door for years and had never gone in, but now I would like to dine in because they had that nice, cozy and authentic Japanese sushi house vibe that was so inviting + of course, good tasting food at reasonable price. I'll be back!“

“I had an amazing experience at Masago Sushi in Ridgewood, NJ. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The prices are also such a big factor since its so low for such big portions. But what really stood out, was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick without ever feeling rushed. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. I would like to acknowledge the service of Ashley. She was so nice and really made us know that we didn’t make a mistake going here.

The atmosphere is also a big plus! Warm, clean, and relaxing, with a modern touch that makes it perfect for a casual lunch or a nice dinner out. You can tell they put care into creating an inviting dining environment.

It is not often that you find a restaurant without any criticisms, but then I found Blu. The dining and take-out experiences are how all food establishments should be run. “Best Sushi in Yonkers. All the rolls are absolutely fresh and decadent. The quesadillas are excellent as well. A fun mix of Sushi & Mexican. A must go to if ever in Yonkers. I even dare say it is the best sushi in the Bronx. They are located less than 1/3 of a mile from the Bronx border and they deliver to the surrounding neighborhood in the Bronx. The guy who took our order is very amicable. The sushi chef prepares the rolls right in front of you. It was a great experience.“

Free food! Yes they give you things for free. Free platter of salted edamame. I took my leftovers home, because I couldn’t finish my huge lunch portions. They wrapped everything beautifully, included free miso soup and sweets in the bag. They also gave me extra soy sauce wasabi and dishes as well as utensils.

Free probiotic drink after your meal.

“Enjoyed a really good dinner meal 🥘 at this restaurant - MATSUYA Japanese Steakhouse in Saddle Brook, NJ. I started off with an Avocado 🥑 and Crab 🦀 Meat Salad with Wasabi Dressing. Then a nice hot bowl of Japanese Miso Soup 🥣. Then went into that Entree - Sea Scallop Teriyaki with Fried Rice 🍚. Yes this place was slamming!!!!!!! “A great dining experience here. Loved the handrolls, homemade Udon noodles (!!), unique and interesting appetizers, fairly big portions for Japanese food, good service and minimalist decor. The dessert special on weekdays is amazing but they're huge, hope you saved room!
I'm going to deduct 1 star for the mediocre Sashimi over rice, which isn't quite chirashi but also not as flavorful as poke.
They also have a ton of non-alcoholic beverages and byob (wish we knew that before going tho.) Also, there doesn't need to be 2 different pork katsus (pork loin vs pork tenderloin), why not replace one with something new or inventive? But yes, they're delicious regardless. Can't wait to come back.“
