“There is not much variety of food, the atmosphere is good but there is no place to give celebration surprises, I didn't like that. I went to celebrate my first year anniversary and I couldn't give the surprise because they didn't do that there. That's what I liked. I'm quite disappointed.“

“The closest you will get to Dominican food without being in Dominican Republic. The sangria is also extremely strong, which is an amazing thing. Absolutely love this place, strongly recommend everything on the menu especially the rotisserie chicken, best chicken ever, my go-to spot every time I cross the GWB. 5/5“

“Delicious and authentic Puerto Rican food. The yellow rice is soft and tasty; it is very well made. The pernil is also very well cooked but does lack a bit of seasoning, it still taste good but I think they cook can add a bit more seasoning to it and it will be PERFECT! I always feel like I am back at home whenever I order from Mis Raices.“

“I had one of the greatest dining experiences at this restaurant a few weeks ago. Everything I expected from a great restaurant was available here. We were greeted at the door. Decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and professional. The menu had a ton of options. We decided to go with the mussels and skirt steak. Just amazing. Mussels with fresh and steak was cooked exactly how we ordered. The bread was so delicious we ordered twice - slightly toasted and warm and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping with broth. Sangria is perfect and very refreshing. This is the type of place I will be returning to very soon!“

“Blast from the past Spanish style restaurant with stone and tiles and wrought iron trim that evokes old Madrid. Tapas are serious eating here, as the crowd of locals will testify. Croquettas are creamy and full of ham, delicious olives, yummy crab cake, cheeses, Iberico pork, paellas. Their large menu has many options and hearty portions. Fun night out for your taste buds...“

“Love love love this place. In my opinion is the best authentic Columbian restaurant. Their mini empanada beef or chicken are a MUST!! You can't have just one. They bake everything onsite. I've had their grilled chicken and it's juicy, plus tostones (fried green plantains) and sweet plantains, salad bowls are amazing! I always look forward to going back. Parking- It's street parking, no meters but it's on a very busy street.“

“My new favorite place for authentic Dominican food! I can’t believe we live like 2 blocks away and never came here before. I do wish there was more seating but hey there was enough for us! The place is clean and the staff is welcoming and respectful. The food was phenomenal! I was ready to go back for dinner. I will definitely become a regular at this place. Thanks for providing such quality food.“

“We could not be happier with how our evening turned out at Olar Noso.A pretty place located right off of Tappan road, there’s ample parking and not a long wait time around 20:00 to be comfortably seated. The restaurant is spacious, lively but not noisy, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Liv, our server, was on point with giving explanations and suggestions on the entrees. We absolutely loved the Salad: I think it consisted of: shredded ricotta salata, pear, pomegranate, arugula, walnuts, and farro (wheat berries), yum, a perfect symphony of flavors which has become one of my favorite dishes. The three of us ordered to share, we commenced with the Gnocchetti "Little pillows" of goat cheese and ricotta with hand-crushed organic tomato, caramelized eggplant, basil, ricotta salata, we found it to be a perfect combination of flavors with every bite. Next were the pizzas; Soppressata pizza topped withtomato, mozzarella, Soppressata, chili oil and honey (the added honey complimented the chili oil). Next, I was outvoted to try the pistachio pizza.. I’ve never had this in my life and asked Liv (as a fellow foodie) for guidance… with mixed reviews, it was decidedly my least favorite, however, it would be interesting to try it with pistachio nuts in a 60/40 blend (in a Vitamix) with ricotta as a spreadable topping (similar to the way a Nutella pizza is prepared). The food was amazing, you can tell their heart is in courtship with creativity by their constant pursuit to invent new and well balanced entrees (with lots to choose from). It’s great to see the way the restaurant blends locally sourced and seasonal ingredients into new creations bringing the farm to table experience for their patrons to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.“

“Definitely a seafood lovers destination. The wait time can be long sometimes but its well worth it. I'd rather wait for excellent food than get mediocre food on demand. The staff is awesome and so are the owners. Its always a pleasure going there to eat. See you guys real soon. (Getting hungry)“

Duck empanadas, Spanish octopus and the squid ink paella - WOW! Everyone working here is super nice and has a passion for the great food they are serving up. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“This restaurant does seafood right. The paella was perfect, as were the soccer shrimp. The appetizers consisting of fried calamari and shrimp in garlic sauce were excellent. The unsung hero of the meal was the fresh baked bread that allowed the delicious sauce to be sopped up like sponge. The only real downside is the dining room that lacks any real character or vibe.“

“I came in here with my mom and we ordered a bunch of empanadas. The service was really fast, even though we ordered about 15 or so. Without us even asking, they organized everything so that we knew which empanadas were which. The empanadas are pretty good. After pandemic restaurant and service not same anymore, and more expensive. Definitely go back.“

“This is a restaurant specializing in grilled chicken. I have only gotten takeouts from here so I cannot speak to what the restaurant atmosphere is like. The food portion is generous an prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. I usually get the half chicken. The chicken seasoning is good and I like the smoky grill flavor, but I find that the meat can be quite dry and tough.“

“Excellent food, although the portions could be larger. We had sangria, fried calamari, Arroz Pescador. The service was truly out of the scale. Flaco even sang “Happy Anniversary” to us with a complimentary flan and candle. He was funny (dropped by our table on purpose just to say a joke or two). Really lovely person.Parking: Easy“

“I have been going to this small place for years. If you want to feel like you are eating at your abuelas house, this is it! The owners make you feel like you are at home. The cheapest prices in the neighborhood. They catered my last event & I could not believe the prices. To add on the owner added a nice surprise to my order - Just so thoughtful! I just love coming here... from the smell of home made food when you walk in, to the culture.“

“This is a typical Dominican restaurant in the Bronx, however, there food is slightly superior to those in the neighborhood. The chicken and beans taste better then most sorounding spots and they have great specials. The prices have hiked a bit, but with inflation it is expected. “We were at Cravings Tapas for a live music performance by Gizem in early March when te restaurant was reserved for I’m guessing 80-100 diners. This bistro is full of warmth and hospitality was top level, starting with its owner Ms. Stani and her dedicated wait staff. The portions are as generous as the variety offered on the menu, ensuring that every diner leaves satisfied. But it wasn’t just about the food for us; we enjoyed Gizem’s live music which added another layer of charm to our experience. With performances ranging from French and Turkish melodies to English classics and even Persian and Indian songs, it was so much fun. Back to Craving Tapas: everything was delicious! And we tried over 15 different items from the menu at our table of four. Last but not the least is about the kitchen staff: kudos to its hard working crew and the chef for pushing out hundreds of tapas to dining room full to the brim without any delays. Not an easy feat. Very well done! See you soon. Oh and it’s BYOB.“

“The atmosphere was great, loved all the lights and the overall layout of the place. The music was way too loud though. Had to text my date to communicate we couldn't hear each other lol. The food was bangin tho. I had the empanadas, my date had the lobster with steak. Our waitress was excellent too, took our orders very accurately and swiftly despite how noisy it was. She was knockout too very pretty. The music itself was awesome too, a few decibels down would've been golden. Great experience overall, Shoutout to the staff!“

“I've only been here twice, but so far so good. My only complaint is that I wish they'd open earlier. I have to be at work by 8am, so if they opened at 7am instead of later I might be able to get breakfast here too. Also, they're not very transparent with pricing. Idk how I spent $17 on a dinner for 1 person. And the second time $13.“

“I can't believe I lived in Washington Heights for so long and never visited La Casa del Pollo. The chicken always smelled so good but I never found an occasion to go. I was feeling a bit homesick for Dominican food today so I decided to stop by on my way home since it was on the way. While this the rotisserie chicken, they also sell other platters. I'm not sure if the menu changes daily but they had a display of cooked meats and rice ready to go. All of the meat, including grilled and stewed chicken, roasted pork (pernil), steak and meatballs all looked appetizing. They don't have the prices listed in the window so you have to just ask since it's not by weight. I'm sure they have a menu somewhere but when I walked in I just had to ask the lady at the counter. She took care of me right away and packed up a lunch size platter of the pernil (note that lunch platters are available even outside of "lunch" time) and a whole rotisserie chicken meal. Both meals were huge portions, enough to eat multiple times easily. It was an incredible value for the price. When I got home to eat it, the chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful. My fiancé devoured the pernil and Moro too. He loved it. Overall, this place isn't anything fancy by any means but the food alone makes it worthy of five stars. It's super delicious and affordable. I will definitely be back.“

“* Tasty and affordable menu* Great for quick bites to go* Fresh ingredients* Friendly staff* Can get busy during lunch hours* Not a lot of seating (maybe 4? at the window)* Parking may be difficult (for both free and metered)I really wanted the Cuban sandwich, but they had run out of roast pork and kept apologizing... ? I opted for the Philly cheesesteak and loved it! It wasn't overwhelmingly large or greasy. As for the chicken avocado wrap, they peeled the avocado right there! ? It felt healthy and quite filling.Parking: We had to park on another street across from the deli.“
