“I stopped here on a whim driving home and I’m so glad I did. Super friendly workers who asked how I was while they were making my order and one even brought my bag of food to me as I was waiting by the front door.

We ordered the Chipotle Chicken and Chino’s Special subs to go (hero sizes). Both were incredible! The CC had a really nice kick to it and complimented the crispy chicken cutlet very well. Chino’s Special was my favorite - a messy sub with a generous helping of turkey meat with a runny egg.

My family of 3 wished we had more space in our stomachs to finish everything. The hero sized subs are large, and absolutely worth the price especially with similar restaurants charging the same, if not more, for a mediocre sub. We will be back for more!“

“Yesterday, TO GO, had two scrambled eggs with American cheese on an untoasted plain croissant. Ordered with no salt, pepper, ketchup. Drove to ShopRite Pal Park, exited vehicle with bagged sandwich and a cold can of seltzer. Unwrapped foil - PERFECTION! Warmed croissant, melted cheese (they use 2 slices!) and soft, fluffy scrambled eggs! Ate half, shopped, returned to vehicle, finished sandwich - still warm! Many thanks!! “It was my first time there but certainly will not be my last. The cashiers knew we weren't from there but super super nice. I had THE BEST quiche I have EVER had. I joked that they sprinkled crack or something on it because I wanted to buy the WHOLE pie . It was beyond fluffy and delicious. It was mushroom, caramelized onion and cheese. I also has a side of bacon and home fries plus a hazelnut latte. It was less than $30 and beyond filling. I took 1/2 home because it was so much food. I didn't think to take a pic before I started eating, so no, that's not the whole quiche lol. As someone born and raised in New York, I’m always on the hunt for a solid bagel spot and Curley’s Bagels caught my attention. It’s a grab and go place, but the inside is surprisingly beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Definitely more elevated than your average bagel shop.

When I walked in, I was impressed by the variety. They had tons of specialty bagels, options with avocado and eggs, and even gluten-free bagels, which is a great choice for anyone with dietary needs. I was tempted to try something creative, but I decided to stick with a classic: a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese “my personal favorite”. Lol

The woman at the counter was super kind and helpful, and the overall vibe from the staff was warm and welcoming. Even though it was busy, my bagel was made quickly. I also grabbed a coffee, which had a nice bold, dark roast flavor. They offered oat milk, almond milk, and half and half something for everyone.

Biting into the bagel, it was everything I wanted: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with generously spread scallion cream cheese full of flavor and fresh herbs. Honestly, it felt more like a luxury bagel experience than your typical deli stop.

I spent about $9 for a bagel and coffee, which is a bit on the higher side, but the quality made it worth it. Plus, it was within walking distance from my doctor’s office, so it felt like a great find in the neighborhood.

Even with everyone waiting, the vibe stayed chill, the bagels are baked fresh right there, and they crank them out as fast as you order. “Apollo’s Lox Bagels are incredibly delicious and definitely among the best bagels in NYC. The hype is truly justified.

The bagel rolls are delicately toasted, and the salmon and cream cheese combination is perfect. A real treat!

Luckily, the shop in the East Village isn't as crowded as the location north of Washington Square Park. We didn't even have to wait 10 minutes on a Friday at 3 p.m., which is practically a world record in NYC. The team is quick and appropriately friendly.

Since there's hardly any seating, it's best to take your bagels to go and eat them in the chilled Tomkins Square Park.

“Every neighborhood in this partisan city has its best place that makes bagels fresh all day and serves them with cream cheese, lox, or whitefish. This is that place for Greenwich Village. The bagel has gorgeous texture and there’s always something hot—straight out of the oven. This isn’t just round bread, this is a proper NYC bagel. Live dangerously: Get the pumpernickel.“

“One of the best bagel spots in Manhattan. Leon’s Bagel nails the classic New York bagel experience — fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of chewy. Their Classic Lox Sandwich is a must-try.

There’s no indoor seating, but they do have a few limited outdoor spots. If the weather’s nice, I recommend grabbing your bagel and coffee to go and heading over to Washington Square Park — it’s just a short walk away.

They also sell some great merch, though I do wish their house blend coffee beans were available for purchase — the coffee is that good.

Definitely worth a visit, even if it means taking a small detour. A real gem in the heart of Manhattan.“
