Bagel Twist & Deli has the look, feel, and energy of a dependable neighborhood joint. For breakfast and quick sandwich meals, this unassuming restaurant has become my go-to spot.

Inside, the space is fairly large, with an L-shaped counter that receives orders, displays deli offerings, and daily bagel and roll availability. There's also a small counter space in the corner of the restaurant for those dining in.

On most mornings, I've placed orders for basic breakfast sandwiches, and I've been generally happy with them. But don't stop with breakfasts. Most recently, I took a chance on their fun sandwich menu, many of which sport fun names like 'The Vegas' and 'The Batman'. I ordered the latter, and found it to be a hearty sandwich. The grilled chicken breast was warmed, the vegetables fresh, and I enjoyed that they offer macaroni salads as one of the side options.

While I wouldn't say these are the best bagels in the land, or the most innovative sandwiches I've ever had, I'm hardly disappointed with my meals here. Service is fast and all orders are prepared fresh. Business has been brisk every time I've stopped in, with both in-person and phone orders quickly queuing up . I see this as another sign that there's a larger crowd that trusts this restaurant with their morning and brunch orders.“

“With a name as generic as Bagel Shop in NYC, you better be good. Any concerns regarding quality were quickly dispelled when we walked through the door. The place was packed. We ordered a very basic selection of bagels and assorted spreads, nothing fancy. Overall, the food was great and the coffee was too...piping hot which is a plus. This is clearly a solid local spot with a well deserved reputation. We are glad we visitied and would return.“

“The SMB absolutely blew me away. I thought it was a perfect balance of salty, sweet, light kick of spice. The beef was season so perfectly and was soft and tender. The egg was super fluffy and I really enjoyed the kimchi to add another flavor profile. The bagel itself was also delicious - light crunch on the outside but soft and chewy inside. Perfect texture and honestly it was such great value for a huge bagel. The owner gave out free rice balls because the wait was getting long and those were delicious too.“

“This small business is just wonderful. The food is delicious, the bagels and sandwiches are so fresh and tasty and the bagels are large. I purchased here a few times via the TGTG app and purchased bagels and their delicious home made assorted flavor cream cheeses. “This was my second time visiting this café. The first time we tried the bagels and really enjoyed them. This time, we ordered an Italian hero, but it honestly didn’t impress me. I know it’s a simple dish, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The lettuce was served as a whole leaf instead of being properly chopped, and the sandwich was quite dry—I had to ask for extra vinegar to make it better.

The service is good, but this is definitely a place for bagels. I wouldn’t expect much from the rest of the menu.“

“I always get great service in this place. The food is fantastic (especially for the price). Their salads are made fresh on the spot... they cut everything fresh as they need em... they don't store the lettuce pre cut in tubs like most restaurants do. This is just an example of what sets Ben's apart from most places. “A must-try bagel spot in Manhattan.

Apollo Bagels is often recommended as one of the best places for bagels in New York, so we had to check it out.

We ordered the smoked salmon everything bagel, and it was absolutely delicious.

The bagel is made with sourdough, which makes it slightly less chewy than a traditional bagel, but I really liked the flavor and seasoning. It also looked beautiful—just as good visually as it tasted. It is served like an open face sandwich.

I do wish they had been a bit more generous with the smoked salmon.

That said, Apollo Bagels is definitely worth a visit. You’re very likely to enjoy it.“

“B&B Bagels was such an awesome surprise during our stay in NYC. We walked over from the Ronald McDonald House one morning feeling a little overwhelmed by the city at first, but this place instantly made us feel at home. Everyone was genuinely kind, caring, courteous, and so generous — like we’d been stopping in every morning for years.

And the food… wow. I know “it’s just a bagel,” but seriously, these were incredible. The bagels were toasted perfectly with just the right amount of chew, the cream cheese selection was amazing, and the lox were absolutely delightful. Even the black coffee was perfect.

Most importantly, my daughter absolutely loved the rainbow bagel and it completely made her morning.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome, the great food, and for turning a simple breakfast into such a comforting and memorable part of our trip. We’ll definitely be back.“

“34th Bagels & More was one of our favorite bagel spots during our time in Midtown Manhattan. While in New York we made it a point to have bagels every day, and this place definitely delivered that classic NYC bagel experience. Located right in Midtown, it’s a great quick stop whether you’re heading out for the day or grabbing breakfast before exploring the city.

The shop had a nice local neighborhood feel with a huge selection of fresh bagels, spreads, breakfast options, sandwiches, and coffee. I went with the onion bagel with jalapeño cream cheese, and it was perfect. The bagel was fresh, soft on the inside with a nice chewy texture, and the onion flavor really stood out. The jalapeño cream cheese added just the right amount of spice and creaminess without overpowering the bagel.

One thing you immediately notice is how fresh everything tastes. The portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere had that busy New York breakfast vibe that makes the experience even better. If you’re staying around Midtown Manhattan and looking for a solid authentic bagel spot, this is definitely worth checking out.“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. “I stopped into Knead a Bagel this morning and had to leave a review because it was honestly one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had in a long time.

Rima offered to make me a special lox bagel, and wow was it good. I’ve had a lot of lox bagels, but this was genuinely the best one I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly balanced.. the right amount of lox, cream cheese, and toppings. Nothing was overwhelming and nothing was lacking. Every bite was perfect.

What really stood out, though, was Rima herself. She was so sweet, friendly, and welcoming. You can tell she cares about the food she’s making and the people she’s serving. She completely made my morning and turned a quick breakfast stop into something memorable.

“Easily the best chicken over rice in the Manhattan area. The chicken shawarma bowl was jam packed with flavours 🙌 especially the rice. Good quantity for the price. Special mention to Ahmed who made our first experience at the cart memorable.

The quality of the food is great, tons of cream cheese options! the restaurant has a few tables, they are quite small. It gets BUSY quickly, so finding a spot in rush hours isn't always easy. I've seen the line wrapping around the corner but they are also very fast.
They have another location as well in UWS, and I once placed my order for pickup in the wrong location and they managed it internally and still gave me my lunch. Absolutely love this place.“

“Broadway Bagel is good for a lot of things but it's better to tell you what its not good for because it's smaller. their pastrami, very chewy & fatty. I got a wrap & was horrible because I was fighting with the pastrami to bite off a piece & then getting fat in your mouth is disgusting. At times when I get a breakfast sandwich with bacon it's like that's when they choose to hide fatty bacon instead of giving you well cooked bacon. How does an establishment do that to their customers? The tuna wrap w/ French fries, I usually order but now they're adding lettuce when before it was onions & avocado now they're putting celery & adding lettuce. why did they mess with such a great sandwich? Certain staff I work with like their blueberry pancakes, homefries, BLT. But like I said too many times I bought a BLT & it was filled with a lot of fatty bacon. I look at my food before I eat it. They used to have different flavors of OJ, Mango/Pineapple, Strawberry/Banana/Orange, but now all they have is regular OJ. They're changing how they made stuff and they changed the working crew so all I can say is I mostly get breakfast. It's hit & Miss for a lot of things because I like my food the way anyone having a business should make the food for their customers; with love & as best as possible.“
