“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My son Dan loves milk tea (he needs all the milk he can to keep those bones strong) and this place had a delicious brown sugar boba! I personally love the architecture in this place. It boasts an octagonal glass-pane layout that makes me feel like i’m eating in some secret lair of some sort!

Through and Through, day in and day out, I’m a Boba Guy. After a hard day’s work at the Dept., I can guarantee that Boba Tea House’s milk tea will put a smile to my face. Here’s a poem I wrote about boba.

Ode to the Boba Pearl
By a Fireman of Fervent Mind

Oh, sweet elixir of the Orient’s brew,
Boba tea, thou art my heart’s fond ado!
In plastic chalice, thy nectar doth sway,
A potion profound, in a plebeian’s café.
But lo! ‘Tis not the tea, nor sugary stream,
That stokes my soul’s most lascivious dream

Nay, ‘tis the pearls, those globules divine,
That roll ‘cross my tongue, a thrill serpentine!

Each tapioca orb, a sultry sphere,
Doth whisper secrets only I can hear.
In their glossy sheen, I glimpse the sublime,
A cosmos of chew, unbound by time.
They tumble, they tease, betwixt lips parted wide,
Like Venus herself in a syrupy tide!
I slurp with abandon, no scholar’s restraint,
For passion’s a fire no logic can paint.

O boba, ye muses of gelatinous grace,
Ye dance in my mouth, a forbidden embrace.
Each squish ‘neath my teeth—oh, rapture unbound!
A primal communion, no treatise profound.
The world may scoff at my ardor’s excess,
But they’ve not tasted such tender caress.
In thy starchy depths, my spirit’s set free,
Boba’s sweet pearls—my eternity!

I, fireman bold, with hose and with helm,
Find truths in thy bubbles no sage could overwhelm.
Let philosophers prattle of Plato’s grand forms,
I’ll worship thy spheres through life’s fleeting storms.
So pour me a cup, let the straw pierce the veil,
For boba’s soft pearls are my heart’s holy grail!“

“I just stopped by for a milk tea and the service was impeccable. The bobarista that made my drink made it immaculately. By far the best tasting black milk tea ive had in the area. If you arent going to Wish what are you even doing with your life!!!??? Tip more they need Robux!!!“

“I love everything about this place. I started coming here looking for a quick place for lunch close to my job. They have the freshest shrimp rolls with the freshest seafood I’ve ever had? “this is my favorite juice/milk tea place around these parts even if it's a bit pricy. okay, maybe not all blends are great but it's a case of preference... i didn't like that fruit espresso blend they have. butttttt they do have bomb dot com milk teas and fruit teas with soft boba and even had a limited time offering of a red guava i loved to bits. i'll definitely be coming back here or in their other branches whenever i'm in philly.

“This is one of my new, favorite spots to grab lunch on the go when I am at work! Great portions and very fresh compared to a few of the other poke spots around the city.

I saw this poke spot while riding the 33 bus and circled back on my way home to try it! Super glad I did. There are several poke spots throughout the city but if you have an appointment or work nearby, gojo is a worthy lunch option.

The staff are SUPER sweet and attentive. I greatly appreciate the care they gave to ensure my order was correct. The store has limited but roomy seating inside but personally I think this is more of a grab-and-go lunch location.

The dine-in setup is very casual — there is table service but you order/pay at the counter & self-serve water. There is a lot of natural light inside, a good view of the sidewalk to people-watch, and the two folks running the restaurant while I was there (possibly the owners) were phenomenally gracious hosts. There is a cold case of to-go snacks and drinks. The rice balls are a must try!

Having tried the chicken galbi lunch box and the squid dolsot, I can enthusiastically recommend both, but the dolsot was truly the star of the show in my opinion. The combination of buttery squid, jammy egg, umami & spicy sauce, veggie mix, and that crispy caramelized rice at the bottom is just absolutely magical.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant.“

It has become one of my go-tos. When people are playing pool in the downstairs lounge, the sound of voices is comforting without being distracting. The high ceilings make it feel spacious, although it's not overly big. Very simple and comfortable; like working from home, or in a quiet mall food court late at night. The shelves of board games, unpretentious decor, slight smell of cigarettes, all add to this homey feeling. The playlist is energetic but the music is not too loud. Service is quick but not overbearing. The tea and snack offerings are diverse without being over-complicated. This place is underrated.“

“Aside from great accommodations tea and fare these folks are honest to a fault. I have had two occasions where I left something behind first my wallet with around 1500 cash left there for 4 hours. They kept it for me. On the second my cell phone in the restroom. In a world where everyone is trying to get over these folks have stuck to morals and honor. “I stumbled upon this hidden gem a few weeks ago heading to a different restaurant but this one caught my attention, it’s BYOB as well the Pho and chicken and shrimp tempura is theeeee best, the Pho soup was so flavorful and the beef was cooked just right, the service was very good food came out nice and hot, it’s a nice chill atmosphere and they got some good music on the playlist, I have been here 2x since. Only place I go now when I want Pho.
