“I grew up near Gao Sheng and have been eating here my whole life. I’ve traveled all over the US and abroad, always trying Chinese food to get a taste of home—and nothing comes close to this place. The flavors, the consistency, the comfort… it’s unbeatable.
My go‑to order: Singaporean noodles (mild) and General Tso’s with chicken fried rice. Perfect every time. I usually dine in and swear the goldfish are the same ones from when I was a kid—it’s part of the charm.
The family that owns this restaurant has been serving the community for decades, and I’m genuinely grateful for them. No matter where I go, Gao Sheng will always be my Chinese food.
Pro tip: Singaporean noodles are on the menu as number 42 “Singapore Mei Fun”, (I think) —ready in about 10 minutes. Just ask for Singaporean noodles they know the deal.“
