The cutlet is breaded and surrounded by a downright tasty combination of seasoning and fried to golden brown perfection in such a fashion that your taste buds will be forever mystified, just as mine have been for about a year or so now since I discovered this gem while traveling down US-46 on essential business. “I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.“

I know these folks here are known for their “best of NJ” Taylor Ham ;not pork roll ( almost forgot where I was) and cheese. I’ve had it here before and I do believe it is incredible and stands up to the claims. However… the cheesesteak they make here may not be getting enough love. “My butter roll came back just a little too crispy. I guess because I asked for it toasted instead of plain heated. But they've got tye absolute best chicken empanadas I've tasted in my life. “This is such a great place. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is great and service is out of this world. I would recommend if your sick or just a soup lover to get their chicken and rice soup. Its thick and hearty with shredded chicken. The fresh mozzarella is like 10 dollars for this small ball but worth it. They make great spaghetti sauce and have wonderful sandwiches too but I'm cutting back on bread so I can't say I've had them that much“

“YUM YUM YUM First of all Larry, the owner is the nicest guy ever. His homemade items are tremendous and never short on taste or flavor. Here is what i cannot live without. Here goes, his homemade bologna, liverwurst, spicy polish loaf, homemade hot dogs and Spanish hot dogs along with his breakfast sausage are items like you never ever had before. Thank GOD he is right in Mahwah , NJ To get these gems of food, I grew up in the 50's and feel I am back in time when quality meant everything. Make sure you stop there and try everyone of these items and you will be a customer forever. None better. Wherever you are, it is well worth the drive to indulge in these amazingly delicious meats. “The wife and I had a busy day and we were hungry. Fast food seemed to be the choice until we passed by this place by chance on Stevens Avenue. We stopped in, looked at the choices and decided to give them a try with their special and an eggplant Parm that looked real good. When we sat down at home to a glass of wine and this food, we were floored. Real food, absolutely delicious and healthy. And the price was an incredible value for what we got. We will be regularly returning. It's obvious the nice people there genuinely care about their craft. What a find!!!!So here is an update. My wife and I tried this place again. This time we brought a nice bottle of Chianti and sat down in a very, very simple decor. Forget the decor. We split the appetizer, crescentina (Bolognese) with arugula, burrata mozzarella (he made it) and San Danielle prosciutto. They are starting to make pizza so we decided to split a Margerita. WOW! We walked out not bloated, satisfied and pining to come back next week. We spent about $35 ( not including tip). Again. An value unheard of in the city. As a newbee from the city to Little Falls, I can not believe the quality of the food these two put out. It is on par with the city and way, way, way better priced. This is a place to go to every other week, if not more. WE WILL BE BACK!!!Vegetarian options: The owner told us to just tell him we wanted and they will make itKid-friendliness: What kid does not like meatballs?“

“Listen I've tried pizza all over NJ this place absolutely hits different.. Not a thin pizza or a regular its a SQUARE pizza but do NOT get this confused with a Sicilian. Everything is made to order!!! We got a Chicken parm pizza with vodka sauce well done.... They told us 25 mins. Went to pick it up and was chatting with someone who seemed to be the owner. (Didn't ask) I said this is our first time ordering from you, she said your going to love this pizza. She then said I'm sorry it's taking so long with the ricotta... My mind intrigued I said for what, she said, going in the vodka sauce..... I wish I had a picture, but we absolutely destroyed it. Huge chunks of chicken cutlets as well! I recommend not to walk or stroll but RUN to get this pizza! Highly recommend and definitely didn't disappoint I will be back. Also got a list of their specials, which change weekly/biweekly as I was informed.“

“If you love quirky places with good food at cheap prices you'll fall in love with the Road House Deli on Myrtle Avenue in Boonton! Talk about a hole in the wall place! There is wonderful Polish food made fresh, just like in Mama's kitchen if she was a good and interested cook. There's a table full of individually wrapped Polish pastries and they sell coffee, tea and food to go. Along the side wall are four tiny vintage booths so you can eat here in comfort. Today was my first time and the potato pancakes were large and tasty, the pirogies were excellent and the owner put extra onions on top just like in Poland. We also had the meatballs with rice stuffing and gravy and real Kielbasa. Warren, a frequent lunch customer (Several times a week) was so enthusiastic. He eats one lunch in the Road House Deli and takes home a second for his dinner. Warren said to try the creamy horseradish dressing on the potato pancakes. He also says he comes every Tueaday for the special spinach casserole which says is excellent. I'm recommending the Road House Deli for good home style cooking, low prices and talk about local color. There is a must be at least 60 year old phonograph and hundreds of LP albums. You choose what you want to hear, put the record on the phonograph and get the music you want without having to pay a jukebox fee. Now how cool is that?“

“I got a take-out lunch after a hike in the area. The fish sandwich with tartar sauce was very good (and very obviously made in-house with care), and their cucumber salad was the perfect side dish. I had fun browsing the shelves of products while I waited, and even picked up some German-made Nivea cream (the best!). Danke!“

“A walk into Otto's is a walk back into the past when neighborhoods had small businesses and everyone knew one another. But one thing didn't change. The high quality and authentic homemade German salads, delicious sandwiches, German specialties and frozen treats (for the Bogue Pond playground visitors) are tallied up the old fashioned way by Helmut, the owner, with a pencil on your bag. There's even an old hand-cranked cash register to make your change. I've been a customer over 30 years, and highly recommend. We need more places like Otto's Deli.“

“Nice bagel and breakfast place. If you get there early before they run out, the bagels are very fresh, moist, and delicious. The many different flavors of cream cheese are always good.For lunch they have a really delicious Mediterranean chicken wrap. They also have a beef Gyro, but I have had better.“
