What really elevates each dish is the sauces - there's always incredible flavor depth and they really complement the other flavors on the plate. The fish tacos have a cashew nut sauce that balances the mango, the red snapper has a creamy coconut sauce and spicy sauce that are great together while the fish (tempura fried), cashews, and garlic chips give you crunch and texture. Yes, like others have mentioned, it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. The food is consistently delicious and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband loves their tacos and burrito, and I’m a big fan of their elotes, tacos and taco bowls. Even my 79-year-old mother, who normally isn’t a fan of Mexican food, loves theirs. That alone says a lot!

Their tres leches is also incredible. I’ve sampled a lot of tres leches cakes in my life and theirs easily jumped to the top of my list.

Beyond the food, the customer service is just as impressive. Two of the owners, Jay and Kike, are always so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They even offer delivery, and their driver, Juan, is just as awesome! In this day and age, it’s rare to find a Mexican spot that’s both authentic and Latino-owned... and Just Tacos is exactly that. We’re more than happy to keep supporting them!“

“As a Hispanic person in a predominantly white town like Westwood, the rate on this store does not match their true authenticity. This is what a true Mexican restaurant is like and the ambience matches that as well. The food is incredible and despite its look I promise you this is as close as you can get to a perfect taco. I recommend a classic bistec taco and a tall glass bottle of coke. This is extremely refreshing to feel and see my culture up close and feel close to home even here in Jersey. “Came for Taco Tuesday! Place was very nice. Sat at the Bar, the bartender was very attentive and margaritas were on point. My girlfriend had a regular margarita before the food came and a passion fruit margarita after the food. We started with chicharron con tostones and guacamole. Was apprehensive to try the tostones as I’ve never had them, glad I did. Tacos Tuesday is $1 tacos for chicken, steak, and carnitas. Minimum of 5 and you can mix and match. We had a combination of all 3. They were very good, maybe just a bit too much onion, but you remove some. We also had the Birria tacos! A must have.“

“I can't say enough great things about Defiant! Last week we hosted a small wedding reception and it was perfect. We were able to do anything we wanted with the space we had (we didn't rent the entire place, just a few tables). The food was great, as usual! The beers and other drinks were great and the price was so reasonable! We were able to use all the games at the brewery, and we were even able to play Terminator 2 on the projector which was a major bonus. The staff was truly wonderful which made everything even better. The owner, the cook, and the bartender were all so friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have a casual, and intimate wedding. Thank you guys SO much!“
