“The poké bowls were freshly made and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. I loved seeing the selection of unique, imported, drinks and snacks. Sweet potato cheesecake anyone; yum!! I look forward to trying some more new treats the next time I visit and cannot wait to eat here again.“
“I love knowing your chefs are a delivery app or phone call away every winter, J and L. I love cuisine history, and this is a special shoutout to the Birria. If you want to stay warm in the winter, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the empanadas, nachos, and horchata were a hundred and ten percent genuine Hispanic/Latino recipes. I remember around 2016 when Tijuana Birria was all over Instagram, but nobody could find it in America. Well, if some of the best Al Pastor in NJ is in Ocean County at Montes, J and L has some of the fastest, fresh, tasty beef birria tacos in East Rutherford and North Jersey if you're like me and have to eat dinner and work after night falls. Thank you for staying open late enough to deliver whenever my night shifts go into overtime. Good food can feed a family or last multiple meals. You have great portions for the price, and I'll watch for sales and specials every week. I'll be ordering again in the summer with some Coronas or Modelo. Five stars, amigos. ??????Vegetarian options: Large selection made fresh to order. Check the menu or ask for help: they're friendly and supportive even during busy hours. ??Dietary restrictions: molé/sauces were Fuego?? Potential customers with heat sensitivity should select their flavors or inclusion in the app interface.Kid-friendliness: Niños friendly ???❄️☃️“
“It's busy, it's Times Square, but worth the wait though.LCHF/Keto eaters should order quesa tacos. Not on the menu but they will readily grill a slice of cheese on both sides and fit it with the usual ingredients to make a taco in a cheese tortilla. Reasonably priced.Fantastic experience. I will be going back often.“
“This is my favorite Los Tacos No. 1 location because it's right next door to their seafood restaurant. I was able to have my favorite, a grilled chicken taco, along with a spicy shrimp taco and fish taco from next door as well. I was in taco heaven.“
“I want to thank the managers Luis P and Rodrigo ABecause of the recipes they shared with me so I could open my taqueria in downtown Manhattan, those sauces are a delight and I will finally be able to make them the same, not to mention the exquisite flavors.“
“THEYRE THE BOMB ?Los Tacos No.1 is an absolute gem in the bustling streets of New York City.Despite the crowds of tourists, locals, and imitators, this taqueria stands out as the best of the best. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the enticing aroma of sizzling meats and freshly pressed tortillas. And let me tell you, the taste lives up to the hype.Today, we indulged in the adobada quesadilla on a warm flour tortilla and the classic adobada taco "con todo" on corn tortillas. Each bite was a burst of flavor and freshness that transported us straight to the streets of Mexico. While the prices may be a bit higher than what I'm used to paying, the quality, freshness, and flavor more than justify the cost. In fact, I'd argue that it's worth every penny.Having lived in New York City for over 30 years, I can confidently say that Los Tacos No.1 ranks among the top 10 taco spots in the city. It's a testament to their commitment to excellence and dedication to serving up authentic and delicious Mexican street food.Whether you're a tourist or a local, Los Tacos No.1 is a must-visit destination for taco lovers in NYC. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.“
“Honestly the food is AMAZING! AMAZING !!!!! BUT ...... The environment is not the best. It's tight, too serious, the food isn't the fastest and it is pricey. but I will say the food is worth it. I would just love the ambiance to change. Then it would be perfect. Absolutely perfect!“
“After being delighted by our first Los Tacos No 1 experience, we headed to Los Mariscos for our last food stop before leaving NYC. We ate it on the bus, so my memories are a bit blurry. The ceviche especial ($7.50) was delicious! I loved the crispy tostada and the savory citrusy flavors. I think there could've been a higher seafood:vegetable ratio, but the flavors and textures made up for the sparse amount of seafood. I tried the tacos a bit past their peak, but they were still pretty good. Overall I think I prefer the meats I had at Los Tacos, but it's hard to compare since I didn't have the seafood tacos fresh. I definitely want to return and dine in!“
“This place is a fantastic cocktail bar! ? Donna serves a wonderful selection of cocktails ?, wine ? , and alcoholic drinks.? Definitely try the Hall Pass cocktail! The staff ?? is super friendly and the service is quick. ⏲️ The ambience ? is great and the place is nicely decorated. ?️ I wish I came here sooner!“
“I'll keep this short and to the point: this is the best burrito I've had in the city hands down, and it's not close. Everything fresh and phenomenally seasoned, the lengua is succulent, the al pastor just the right spicy-sweet mix, I can't wait to try a few more meats. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. As far as ambiance, getting in and out of there in record time is all you really want from a food truck. The best.“
“Ive been here a couple of times and as a LA native, this place definitely makes tacos that remind me of home. There is only outdoor seating so I would keep that in mind if you plan on visiting during colder weather. But The tacos were delicious and I got way more queso and chips than I was expecting. They were sold out the last time I stopped by so that should give you a good idea of the quality of the food.“
“Amazing restaurant ! Food is a chefs kiss! I order the. Crispy Cajun Salmon sandwich with a side of salsa when I want to be fake healthy haha! Staff was very welcoming, I will be back!Kid-friendliness: Place is located at the Hugh and plethora restaurants and options with table and chairs“
“Best tacos in New York CityWhen I come to New York, all I think about is Rostaco. It's really delicious here tooTacos and Consome are steamedIf you see it while passing by, be sure to try it!!!This is a really good restaurant that locals know!!!“
“Amazing and authentic taco spot!! The staff was super friendly, the service was relatively quick, and the food was so good. Honestly one of the best Mexican spots in the east village! I got this Al pastor burrito, which was great, and my buddy got the tacos. He said they were the best he's had in a while. Don't hesitate to try this spot it's phenomenal!“
“Recent dinner at Tacombi definitely hit the spot. The tacos are packed with well seasoned meat, the crispy fish was nicely dressed with slaw and sauce, the salsa are delicious and pack a nice little punch. The tostada was crispy with a flavorful avocado topping and the quesadilla just barely visible under the mountain of Al pastor. My michelada was nice but I'd give the agave wine margs a pass if you're a marg purist. Juan Carlos took great care of us. On hand just when we needed with what we needed, friendly, and left us plenty of time to chow and digest before sending us on our merry way. We really enjoyed the little cabana - it's nice when the COVID inspired street cabana matches the good vibes indoors so even the dog can enjoy the night out.“
“Sloppy and yummy Mexican tacos. So so so good! The taste was great, so flavourful. The soup next to it was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. Price was a little steep for my understanding but maybe that’s just the area. Friendly staff, cute atmosphere and great taste. What a dinner! Be prepared to get your hands dirty!“
“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!“
“I had a lovely and memorable dining experience. I ordered the Spring rolls (which were delightful by the way): fried goodness served with lettuce wraps and julienne veggies. Super fresh and No guilt! My server, Alex, was what made the night! Although the spring rolls are served with fish sauce (delish!) Alex told me about the restaurant’s homemade soy sauce and offered to bring me a sample. What an amazing flavor profile: I happily alternated each bite between the two sauces. Sweet than savory—repeat. Also fun is the speakeasy style restroom and the sign above the toilet gave me a chuckle: “seat yourself.” Thanks for making my Friday night, Alex and 5Spice!“
“I was so happy when this place moved into the area, because there are very few good options for Mexican food, or at least there were. This place is really amazing there meat is fresh, their vegetables are fresh and their tacos are really great. The staff is super nice. The taco al Pastor here might be among the best in the city only because the pineapple is cooked on the grill and it’s really nice. That charred caramelized pineapple as a real beautiful flavor. Reasonable prices too.“
“This has become my favorite spot on St. Marks Street. I often come here for tacos and tostadas when I’m in the area. The tostadas have crunchy shells with moist and tasty beef. Everything I’ve had here is full of flavor and delicious. Always fresh - the taste and texture is just right.“
“I’m addicted! The menu is simple, the food is flavorful and well presented. Service is wonderful and great value. Casual setting with beach-y/food truck vibes vs a restaurant-proper. I suspect that this place would have a lot more foot traffic if it were in town near Bloomfield Ave or Watchung, but I’m happy to have it so nearby in Upper Montclair, and I hope they are a long-standing fixture here (have seen a few places coke and go in this spot). The food here stands out miles ahead of a couple of nearby Mexican options, albeit smaller menu.“
“We recently had the pleasure of dining here today. This restaurant brings out the food of its people with great prices. The tacos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are truly authentic. We tried the fried pork, beef birria and chicken birria tacos and churros they were excellent. The tortillas are made fresh daily. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a wonderful meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food.“
“This is without a doubt the best banh mi in town. The bread is utter perfection, the ingredients always fresh, and just the right level of spice. The staff are very friendly and the owner is actively involved. I had a problem with my order, which he personally resolved. I was very impressed why his commitment to customer satisfaction. I will be a customer for life. Keep up the great work!“
“This place is super bueno. I recommend the tacos, sopes con carne, tortas, and of course the chips and guac. Their food is made with love! Very good burrito. Order was on time. I also had the mole de callo soup, it was good but i need to try the pozole.“
“I was feeling down and needed a happy moment or two. Found both with good food and great drinks at Street Taco. I was in the neighborhood and saw the sign out front for happy hour. Mood lighting accentuated with bright colors, and not too crowded. Just my vibe. There's a bright orange VW van in the back that serves as the kitchen counter, and the best part- Bad Bunny is in the drivers seat! There are big murals, brick and wood decor. Stepped up to the bar and it felt cozy. I ordered a Passion fruit jalapeño margarita $9 and mini nachos $6 (which were not so mini) off the HH menu. Loved the margarita. Sweet but not overly, with a spicy kick. As for the nachos, they were big enough for two me's, because I had leftovers. Needed to try one more thing, so I ordered a mini Brussels Sprouts Taco $3 and a Tecate $5 from Arturo. He was a lovely bartender. Friendly and attentive. Especially when he included me in a smooth tequila shot. That was nice. Parker from the restaurant was sitting at the bar next to me and made my glum, lonely night into a much better one. Chelsea and Andi rounded out the bar scene. With a disco ball, Street Taco Bingo, Taco Tuesday specials and a DJ on the weekends, Id have to imagine it gets rowdy here. For a Sunday night, it was quiet and perfect. I'm looking forward to coming back!“
“Saw this place in social media and I knew I had to try it, so I did and it did not let me down. The concept is a blend between mexico and India but the food if absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended to try! They have two locations, one in Hells Kitchen and another in Greenwich Village.“
“The churros are good, and I really like the mushroom tacos. And when I got mushrooms in my burrito bowl. The chicken taco was a bit spicy for me. I wish I can ask for no spicy things when I get delivery, but there isn't the option to request adjustments or changes via door dash.“
“The chicken tikka masala and the naan feels authentic and is just a comforting but binge worthy meal to have. Their tandoori chicken wings are quite good as well. The naan tacos are better than the roti tacos cuz the rotis just disintegrate when you add all the toppings. Love all their chutneys as well!“
“Their service and tacos is crazy good, because they make it simple but fantastically perfect. Their whole thing is tacos only and nothing else, because they don’t need anything else to prove how good of a taqueria they are. Only authentic taqueria in the area I’ve been to that their tacos come out fresh, hot, delicious and fast all for $10 for 4. Pura calidad y nada mas“
“Tried their birria tacos, tacos al pastor and the horchata and everything was perfect. Everything was fresh and delicious. Probably some of the best birria tacos I’ve ever had. The customer service was also very good. Definitely going back!!“
“cute restaurant, bangin tacos and tostadas. wish we had this back home ?Vegetarian options: took the veggie tacos with black beans to go, had some extra guac, the sauces are spicy but delicious (to my painfully white palate)i actually had to wait like half an hour after getting the food to eat it bc planning reasons that are on me and the food still was delicious.“
“Top notch! I was skeptical of the high ratings since many of the places we've been to in Manhattan have been higher rated than I would give them but ZAZA'S has earned it. The turkey bacon was the best I've ever had and the French toast was divine. My husband also said it was 4.5 stars for him, the highest rating he voiced for any place we visited this trip.“
“I had a lovely and memorable dining experience. I ordered the Spring rolls (which were delightful by the way): fried goodness served with lettuce wraps and julienne veggies. Super fresh and No guilt! My server, Alex, was what made the night! Although the spring rolls are served with fish sauce (delish!) “Mandatory tip of 20% if you spend over $100 with a credit card. They don’t tell you, so a lot of my friends and colleagues were double tipping for over a year - the staff doesn’t say anything. Otherwise, best vibes of any bar, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing music, amazing ambiance.“
“Chef Juan is a magician in the kitchen, producing great tasting creations. Leeland spoiled us with an ultimate sampler table spread. Bite after bite my taste buds went crazy over the food. Everything we had was delicious. Try the pineapple salsa you'll love it. If you are ever near the lower Manhattan area, stop by. Thanks again Leeland and his crew for a memorable night.“
“The tacos were delicious. Just pick one. You won’t be disappointed. It’s more of a take out place. A few tables inside and out. The people working there seemed like they all had a gun to their head. No napkins in the dispenser and there was no hurry to fill it although a steady stream of customers were in and out. It happens I guess. Take out is the way here.“
“This is a quiet unassuming spot. It's great for takeout and has delicious, hearty soups. They have a pretty good, well stocked selection. Their sandwiches are amazing and the prices are reasonable. Overall very filling, healthy food and a great spot to get lunch on the go. The staff is also very friendly, helpful and efficient.“
“The flavor, the freshness, the ingredients are an explosion of exquisite flavors, the sauces are delicious, and the waters are very refreshing and low in sugar, they are exactly the same as a Mexican water, and the hot churros are delicious.Everything is fresh, you can tell that theTortilla is made fresh and when you order it fried it is a spectacle, its cronchi is very very deliciousWhat I obviously recommend are the most delicious tacos in all of Cliffsade Park and its buff surroundings.“
“I was looking for a restaurant that serves Mexican food ? due to the face the only other one I been too is like 40 minutes away so we decided to find one closer to home before going to work n honestly I was amazed how nice we were treated and the food was delicious I mean I still full and the serves and cook ask if we would like veggies in are food due to the fact we don't eat meat and the price was cheap so thank you for serving us a delicious meal I will be coming back againVegetarian options: They can make anything Vegan-friendly if you don't eat meat.“
“I’ve been coming here for years (even back when it was in Hoboken). Best Mexican food you will find anywhere in the area. Each item is more delicious than the next. The flavors are incredible, the ingredients are fresh and top shelf. Every time I eat here, I fall in love with the food. DELECTABLE!“
“We drove right past it but THANK GOD we were able to turn around and get to it the food was heavenly juicy hot and suuuuper tasty the cook we spoke with was amazingly patient as he could see we wanted the entire menu but didn’t know how to order it lol the man was a saint and got us exactly what we wanted we were in such disbelief that such amazing tacos came from such a small spot but it’s clearly a top shelf establishment and will continuously recommend this place“
“The torta was excellent, the space clean and tidy, and the service was great. The cashier and the staff in the kitchen made sure to explain the sauce spice levels. It seems like a small family run business and the pride they showed in their storefront and food was mirrored in the flavor of the food.“
“My husband and I lived in Harrison in 2019-early 2020 and this was our local taco spot. We were obsessed. We moved due to the pandemic and to this day we haven’t found better tacos than these. We compare every taco we ever have to these, hoping to find some that will compete and they never come close.“
“Unfortunately I am attempting to finish this review in 2024, long after visiting this establishment so I do not recall my visit here besides giving it 5/5 stars. So in my very trusted book of ratings, I absolutely enjoyed this spot and the food was amazing. So I'll be back and do a better job reviewing next time.“
“Place is not bad. First time we went was for my wife's birthday. We were excited for Birria tacos. The consome was not bad. My wife enjoyed it. Taco shells are crispy and cheese was just the right amount. Meat was good portion. The place is very small. Its my only complaint. The waitress is good but there's only one in the place so if it's busy it's hard for her to tend to every table but she tries her best. They should add ground beef as part of their meat options. I would recommend this place if you're in a mood for some good tacos.“
“I believe Tacombi is doing great in the way they hire their staff. My first experience with Tacombi was at their location at 79th street and Amsterdam Ave. Their manager was a Latino man, who I observed going out of his way a few times to help on the floor and to greet customers even delivery workers. Unfortunately I do not remember his name but he must still be there since he does an amazing job.At this establishment, I ate both a chicken and steak quesadilla. The chicken and steak were flavorful and it is something that I would definitely order again.I also visited Tacombi on 70th street between Third and Second Ave. This time, I only went for a beer but I observed their hostess working the floor while taking care of the delivery workers. Every interaction was completed with effectiveness and a smile.Kudos to Tacombi and their belief in customer service.“
“taco truck right outside vital that seems to be open late-ish (00:30 on a wednesday). pretty nice chicken burrito. satisfying size and i’d rec the hot sauce on the side. nice owners. i’m interested to try some of the other stuff they have tooTakeout: Yes“
“Authentic Mexican taqueria; excellently marinated meats; quick service. Protein cuts are standard variations of chicken, pork (al pastor with the pineapple was chef's kiss), beef, with some vegetarian and pescatarian (shrimp, fish) options as well.“
“I was having an active weekday morning and I wanted some good breakfast tacos. Hearty and fresh. I came across this food truck outside the New York Times building and the pictures depicted on the side do not do it justice for what I received. The tacos were heart with meat, eggs, veggies, some spices. As I type, I crave them.I could feel like there was real New York love embedded in this food. I would not want to go anywhere else.“
“The food is AMAZING !!! was a last minute thing and we are so happy we went ! Taste so authentic, and family owned. Out family had an amazing time ! Fries , Barria tacos , horchata, burritos.. all recommended! We will be back to try there pupusas. “
