“Have been looking for a Thai restaurant that is closer (than trudging down Route 17 to East Rutherford) to my home with easier to find parking…..and boy, did I find it. Lovely restaurant, with a decent sized shared parking lot. Wait staff is friendly, helpful and will guide you should you have any questions, or need recommendations. Shared a Fried Pork Belly salad, that was outstanding. Pork was crispy and delicious without being super fatty. Salad was enough for 4 starter portions or two very nice sized larger portions. I had a combo of shrimp and calamari. Five nice size shrimp and a substantial portion of calamari rings along with the veggies was a large portion. Other diner had a noodle soup with duck, which was, again, a rather large portion and was equally outstanding in taste. At most of the Thai restaurants that I have been to, they use the pepper symbol to indicate heat level. I found theirs to be much lower than what I am used to. My standard is a two-pepper level which usually brings tears to my eyes. Their pepper levels seem to be less intense, as I barley felt the heat. That, however, would not keep me from returning. This was a thoroughly enjoyable Thai meal which I had been craving. We skipped dessert since our entrees were so plentiful.“

“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“

Excellent service plus a nice view of the water -- at least before dark. Compares favorably to some of the better Manhattan restaurants. To be sure, is it as good as say, Le Bernardin or Jean Georges? Of course not. But you'll get a first-class dining experience for probably half the price, without the hassle of traffic and parking.“

The service is great - the owner is welcoming (even once escorted our toddler to the c-store next door to buy some candy) and all the wait staff is great, especially Jason who is incredibly kind. Food is excellent quality and fairly priced for how good it is. Pastas are cooked perfect al dente. Great meat dishes especially the pork chop french cut. The desserts are quite good as well - love the coconut cake. Because it's not huge it isn't quiet but we've never found it to be uncomfortably loud and it has a great ambience.“
“I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and wanted to pick up some brekkie. I found Bagel Nosh close by. It was a Tuesday at around 9 am. I called ahead for pick up and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes, and piping hot. I ordered a sausage and cheese on a toasted everything wheat bagel, which hit the spot.l. Some places will only give you one sausage patty even when you don't order it with egg but this one came with two. The bagel itself was pretty good and they have more options than most places. It's a pretty heavy/greasy brekkie but you get a bang for your buck here, and it's nice for a once in a while treat.“

“This was a laid-back, divey type of bar that supported the Packers as there was memorabilia throughout the inside. There were a few tables with mostly high tops surrounding the bar as well as outdoor seating with televisions. The menu had a few unique bar features along with over 140 wing flavors. Two types of wings and the special empanadas were ordered. The wings came eight to an order and seemed to be of good quality. They were meaty and large too. The sauces that were picked were awesome sauce ($14) and the Pickle Me Elmo Pickle Dressing ($15). The awesome sauce seemed to be a yum yum sauce but could not be exactly sure as the menu did not provide a description and just stated 'don't' ask - It's awesome." Regardless, it was very tasty. It was not spicy at all if unfamiliar with yum yum sauce. The pickle sauce was decent. I would have preferred more of the sauce present, but it was okay at best. The special empanada consisted of hot sausage and mozzarella. There were two to an order and they were big. The overall empanada was extremely crispy. There was plenty of filing and it seemed to be more of a chorizo texture than sausage, but it was still great. Will I go back? Definitely.“

“A very friendly place to go for your pub food. The beers are rotated often and they run extremely good specials. I genuinely enjoyed my overall experiences but the food is only solid. The menu is smallish but it covers enough options so a large group could find happy choices. I have eaten there four times and I have sampled most of the menu via my meals and sneaking a taste from others in my party. For me the downside to the food is the lack of the little details that takes a meal from "serviceably enjoyable" to genuinely tasty. Examples: Onions were not caramelized when requested. Cheesesteaks do not make it to both ends of the bread. When crispy fries were asked for they have not been delivered half the time. Little things. But they do make a difference. Luckily, they can be easily fixed. Regardless, it has a relaxed atmosphere and it serves great beer without pretentiousness.“
