“Stopped in 90min before closing, around 5pm. First off, everything on the menu sounded really good and my wife were kind of torn... The owner literally immediately engaged us and was like "tell me what you're feelin?" - this gentleman steered us to sandwich paradise ?

We decided to split a large classic Italian sub with a couple changes and ended up with a 12" sub (but I'd bet someone it was more like 14") with ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone. Added lettuce/tom/oil/vinegar/mayo with salt n pepper and some oregano. The cost was $17.05 ($8.50 all in with tax each if splitting) and this bad boy was plenty for the two of us!

They *only* use Boars Head meats/cheeses and let me tell you, it absolutely SHOWED!! High quality ingredients result in a high quality product and this was no exception! It was the absolute best f***ing sandwich either of us have had in a long time! This guy was a true artisan and master of his craft!

Stop in and get an Italian sub and I promise that not only will you not be disappointed but you'll be amazed and enjoy the best sandwich you've had in recent memory!

We plan on going back again real soon to try the Philly cheese steak, get another Italian sub and try the Mac salad which also looked amazing. Will update this review or post another one when we do!

EDIT: Went back the following morning and got a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. ????

EDIT 3: 11/1/2024 - New special on Friday called " Philly Cheesesteak Fridays" - $5 for a cheesesteak and $7.50 for cheesesteak with fries and a soda! Just picked up 2 of them for me and the Mrs.! Guess what? AWESOME AS USUAL AND LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!“

“This is such a great place. The food is wonderful the atmosphere is great and service is out of this world. I would recommend if your sick or just a soup lover to get their chicken and rice soup. Its thick and hearty with shredded chicken. The fresh mozzarella is like 10 dollars for this small ball but worth it. I’m not sure of his role, but a manager/supervisor was training a new employee, and he was very attentive and kind to both the customers and the trainee. And the attention to detail was chef’s kiss. “Modest, sub shack with on-street parking near busy intersection of Clifton. This spot is a hidden gem serving up delicious, fresh, thinly sliced cold cuts and hot hero sandwiches for the locals. The shop is small, and no real dining area, but they put the attention where it belongs--on the subs! The rolls they use are soft and chewy. Onions are shaved, lettuce Shredded, nice size tomato, oil vinegar, and seasonings. Boom! It's perfection. And I don't know what I appreciate more, the smiling service the 2 guys serve up with the food or the outrageously reasonable pricing, but seriously guys, go out and support this little shop 2 doors down from Mr. Cupcake. You won't be disappointed, just thank me later.“

When the gal finally did come she apologized and sat the party in front of us. Then the manager came and said there was only one server that day and the wait would be about 15-20 minutes. The party behind us left since they had small children. We had no problem with the wait and Kat was our waitress, well she was everybody's waitress. LOL. Had to give her props, she did an excellent job. Our question was why didn't the manager help out? Maybe that's not the way they do things there but we felt a little sorry for poor Kat. The naan bread is made their on premise Tandoori oven. The store and parking area is never crowded when I shop. They usually have only one or two cashiers working during slow periods and a self check-out area. I never tried their deli, pizza station or acai bowel so I have no comment. If you do not have your own shoppin bags which I do, It will cost you 10 cents per bag.“
