“Fairchilds is my mothers and I’s favorite lunch spot, for many years we would come sit down and have lunch (they no longer have tables inside to eat), the food and the prepared sandwiches are exactly what to expect from a top tier deli and marketplace. The transformation into a full market including meats, cheeses, Nic-nacks, lots and lots of wine (with the coolest wine ladder) we always come in for lunch. They have one small table out in the back of the parking lot that we have used. Putting the food aside, the ladies at the counter are always so kind and helpful. The last time I was in they had just ran out of my favorite -their homemade oatmeal rasin cookies, counting the days until I’m back to go get some more.“

“OMG! We wanted to hit Tops Diner but it was packed so we looked on Yelp for something different. Im so glad Tops was packed because this place is amazing. Greeted by very friendly staff, sat quickly. Our waitress was great, answered all our questions. Get the wings with the house sauce, we got buffalo and house. We agreed we are getting the house sauced wings next time, they were both good but dang that house sauce. Had the Seoul sister with jerk chicken, amazing. Fiancee had a sandwich with the sweet potato tots, also amazing. Pound cake is delish!! I actually took a whole one home for dessert for a dinner party the next day. Everyone raved about how good it was. We're an hour away but I will drive a 2+ hour round trip for this food again!!! Go here, you won't be disappointed.“

“To start, the food is absolutely delicious here. The unique Korean/French fusion had some interesting and tasty options. Will definitely go back to order things I didnt get to try. Unfortunately, it was evident that they were understaffed (maybe it was just this one night? Things happen). The person who sat us was also the server, food runner, and busser; with all these responsibilities, it was impossible to be as attentive as I know they could have been because they were very sweet and polite. Despite the service, I would still recommend coming here because the quality of food is outstanding.“

“We recently used Anthony’s catering for a small birthday gathering at my house. I was really impressed with the food, the service, and reasonable prices. The baked ziti was really delicious, reminding me of my grandmom’s Italian cooking and much better than standard catering fare. The salad was very fresh with strawberries and a yummy tangy dressing, and the cheesecake was some of the best I’ve ever had. Also, when they needed to substitute the toffee topping on the cheesecake I ordered, they went above and beyond to find a suitable sub for us, offering lots of yummy alternatives (we went with pecan and salted caramel - YUM!). Anthony’s is going to be my new go-to when I’m entertaining and don’t want to cook!“

“We just moved to the neighborhood & decided to drop in for dinner while on our walk. the owner immediately treated us like we were regulars and let us try a few different things he had on the menu. we ordered wings — lemon pepper, sweet chilli and garlic parm, an order of fries & a chilli dog! The food was amazing. “I don't know how many times I drove by Wood Stack on Rt 46 without paying any attention to it. Then a family party was held there and I was impressed. The food here is just good. Fresh, plenty of it, and served attractively. It has become one of our go-tos. I especially like the lunch menu - the eggplant sandwich and half salad is my regular order. The pizzas are excellent and the entrees generous and full of flavor. My husband's favorite thing is the chocolate chip cookie and milk dessert, served warm on a wooden board. Service is always consistent too. Great place to have here in town.“

Every meal is prepared with care and precision, every server I've had (no two the same) have been efficient, courteous and professional. The drinks are great as well. Selection is quite varied. It wasn’t until we were seated that I realized there was nothing on the menu that met my Plant based dietary needs. I asked our server what she would suggest. She returned with several options for each course. When our meals were served we were all delighted with our choices. Everything was beautifully presented, delicious, and more than satisfying. My plant-based meal was high quality, full of flavor and texture and I would highly recommend my meal to anyone, even if they didn’t normally follow a plant based diet normally. It was That Good. “Bobby Wongs is a welcome addition to the Hawthorne food scene. With a great niche- this soulfully Asian spot is a go to for real and quality stuff! Having them downtown is dangerous only bc I live so close! The chicken original with wok’d rice is a perfect balance of heat and savory. The beef buns ( really all the buns) are a can’t miss- any specials they have are definitely worth a try!“
